The software has a lot of customization, which is great. Cons The software took some time to get to get used to - there are a lot of layers to it, so the learning curve on this was somewhat large. Mavenlink is very supportive and procedurally focused, which keeps you on track. As for the software, it’s great for tracking, but lacks in areas of automated workflow or project reviews within the software. Pros The software is ideal for its ability to track projects through the project lifecycle. What we like most is the visibility it provides from a time allocation perspective. Cons The software seems robust to start, but you need to add connectors to other software like your CRM to truly connect your various channels. I log my hours here and nothing else, but I think there is a lot more we could take advantage of if we knew how. Pros Mavenlink is a self-contained powerhouse for project management. Where it really excels is for budget management of complex cross-functional products/programs. The fact that it integrates so well with SalesForce and other CRM tools makes forecasting and planning a breeze. Cons Sometimes if a task has too many members attached to it, the overlapping of names and data can be difficult to read. Pros Mavenlink has a Google Chrome interface which makes it easy to enter time to individual projects without having to have the website open constantly. The flexibility and customerisation of this program really are second to none for such a great low price! Cons The only downside I found with this program was how to set it up to meet my business' requirements. It's integration with Quickbooks allows us to import data from Mavenlink into the appropriate income and cost categories saving time from doing it manually. We also love the Master Planning feature to get a better handle on our backlog and revenue forecasting as well as resource utilization. This ties into the Analytics reporting feature that gives us the information critical to decision-making. Lastly, the application is continually upgraded with new features based on user input including ours. Cons There's not much to dislike. I'd like to see a more robust file storage capability so our clients can access documents through a tiered folder structure. For example, as a recruiter, I need to manually type in my name, my Business Manager's name, and location every time I create a new resource record. It should automatically fill these fields out for me with the ability for me to override when needed. Pros Kimble does what our Management Consulting firm needs it to do. It tracks opportunities and resources, and has reporting functions. This great system has not let us down at all. Hands down, best overall solution we have found. Cons What's not to love? It was even easy for our team to pick up on the use from day one. Potentially it could be adapted for subcontractors to participate in the sales phase, but that is a niche concern for users within construction companies. January 4, 2016 5.0 Its nice having a time tracking/invoicing/project management tool all in one - having the ability to customize items without having to pay special pricing or set up some additional acct is very handy. Most important we love how responsive the Mavenlink team is to feedback and pushing out fixes and updates. They happen almost weekly from little nuances to bigger items monthly. You don't have to wait an entire year for a feature enhancement that makes life so much easier. And the updates don't disrupt your world they are intuitive easy enhancements. I can say it is the kind of application you can do anything in one place. We are completely relied on the time tracking of Mavenlink after we moved from Timecamp. The both of them is quite reasonable and helpful application, but with Mavenlink you can do more things than Timecamp. Cons More responsive reporting features is needed.
