Project templates are easy to customize. We have a varied skill set, and all users have adapted well to using it. Clean interface. The chat feature for immediate customer service has been helpful. Cons There are some features that are cumbersome or counterintuitive. Project reporting isn't as robust as other software we looked at. If you're looking for something a little more intuitive that doesn't require as much work to actually use, there are better options. Managing Mavenlink is a job unto itself. Pros Tons of great data. Within the project plan we are able to assign tasks to certain individuals allowing for us to create and follow up on our staffs to-do lists. Pros Mavenlink is very easy to use and incredibly intuitive. We are able to measure for more in greater depth than we have been able to in the past. Keeps our teams in sync and on-task. Cons Some features are rigid. Allocations are not linked to project schedules at all. If dates slip, allocations have to be manually updated. Review Source Michael F. The interface is much nicer and the software runs much faster. I highly recommend it for project-based companies who need to keep a clear eye on Utilization and billing Pros Beautiful interface. Business Insights is a fabulous tool for slicing and dicing almost real time data. Cons I wish that when a resource was not available, the system would not allow you to assign tasks to them. The whole office can use different parts of Mavenlink with no issue. The product is amazingly easy to use and doesn't have all that additional "cushion" that can act as a burden on occasion. Pros It's web based, so many of our Inspectors use it update their records in the field. Great budgeting and forecasting tools. Also has task scheduling, timesheets, charting, and critical path. Pros The features are very intuitive and the functionality isn't overly complex. Can learn in less than an hour. Cons We've been having some issues submitting PTO through the software. Also, with the privacy settings, they can post all the necessary usernames and passwords to their websites, along with images they want on their site. I can respond to my clients directly from my cell phone to Mavenlink and then log in to Mavenlink to view our entire chat history and attachments. I can invoice and get paid through Mavenlink, which is nice and makes me look more professional. Pros Organize myself and my clients. Get paid. It was also one of the only products we could find on the market that we could associate groups with the projects -- this seems like a requirement that many would need but it's surprising how many do not include an easy way to do this. Also, unlike some of the others we were looking at, it's very affordable. Cons Updates seem to happen a bit too often and I'm not always a fan of them. Some of the actual nuts and bolts of project management can be a bit fussy and hard to figure for new users and skilled users alike. Getting clean reports is also a bit of a challenge and I'd like to see this improve a bit too. Review Source GR Greg R.
