You have the ability to customize what you need to see easily. The linked posts updates are my favorite feature Cons I did not like the way the email updates came through, and the look of them. Project planning, time tracking, and invoicing clients all in one. . We started using mavenlink as an alternative to Microsoft project. Online Customer service chat was always quite friendly, although not always competent at helping solve problems. Although quite buggy, we were usually able to figure out suitable workarounds., and liked that project planning through invoicing clients was covered by the software. Cons Try something else. I like that you can customize it for your company. It is a good program to communicate with your clients and keep track of your communications and uploads/documents. Cons I don't like that, in the invoicing portion, the total budget doesn't print out for example: If I charged $100 and they paid $25, the invoice will only show $75. However, I would like it to show $100 minus $25 payment with a balance of $75. I also don't like that the Budget is visible to clients. Working virtually with mavenlink got rid of countless e-mail updates, and everything could just be checked up on in one quick and easy place. Efficiency at its best. With plenty of tools and very intuitive integration with Google Docs, it solved a lot of problems for us while we used it! Cons The main downside we had with Mavenlink was the UI. It creates a good location for the client and consultants to interact about the project. Connecting the time worked to the required tasks is nice as well. Cons I wish the timer would be more flexible. I would like to be able to change the easily. If I stop for coffee, but forget to stop the timer, it's not easy to change.
