The user interface is excellent and the customer support is top-notch! actually invites feedback from its users and implements requested changes. BambooHR's report building is a snap to use. Its pre-canned reports are real timesavers. Cons is a relative new-comer so not every need has been addressed. As a result, there are times when a request for change or a new reporting mechanism needs to be built, one has to wait for the request to become a priority for the programmers to address. Overall functionality is really simple and clear to follow. The "request time off" function is great, but it doesn't communicate with our payroll software so it's not always accurate. It's more useful for HR staff and management. It is great to collaborate on submitted resumes and they recently upgraded so you can send individualized mass emails to applicants. Pros I like the applicant tracking system side of it. Very easy to collaborate and easy to communicate with applicants within the system. They have a ton of great tutorials and explanations of how to use the program. Cons Employees can view their current benefit enrollment info, but there is no benefit management piece to where they can make any changes. It is very easy to communicate with add new employees, you can create​ different branches and programs, add brackets of the employees and branch they belong. It is also for employees easy to communicate​ with the ​HR department. The only downside is communication with their support. Pros is very easy to use, incredibly easy, not a sweat to be dropped. The staff is also very happy as they could submit their vacation days very easily. BambooHR also gives you the option to have a diagram of the organization, that way the employers know who they need to address. The map​ is very easy​ and organized. Cons The response from the support team. It takes a very long time to get assistance​ from them. I have had some troubles in the past and their assistance​ was required. I really like all of the information that it contains such as training history, documents, disciplinary records, company announcement boards, files, etc. I also like the ability to create job openings and post seamlessly to Indeed.com, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedn and the ease of creating new employees. I'm super excited about the new feature of payroll in which our company will be one of the first to go through implementation. Pros This service is great for small businesses, saves time with the hiring and terminating employees. Ease of integration of other software such as Gusto, Nimblescheduler, OrgChart Now, and 26 other software applications. Its a super easy way to get paid, I barely had to do anything other than fill out my personal info and then everything was done. Pros As an employee, being able to upload documents and have one central place to have all my info is super handy. Anything I sign gets uploaded so I can access it anywhere. The custom questions for employee details are great. Cons The app can be slightly wonky sometimes. I was never overly impressed with the app over the web interface but I used both equally. It has reduced the amount of calls I receive in regards to what benefits they have or to update their personal information such as address or phone number changes. I also like how quick I can locate a number to contact staff if I need to get in touch with them. Cons I wish it had more of a Facebook communication layout versus announcements. Announcements are good but I feel we could as a whole company say something simple as Happy Birthday to an individual or be able to give virtual medals for a job well done. I also wish it was easier to determine what access certain people had within the company. It would be nice to share a file within the announcement versus directing them to the Files tab. No more excel spreadsheets or thinking 'when did Tom and Sarah start?'; no more thinking 'when did we do that?' or 'where am I at with on-boarding our newbie?' - because all I need to do is login and find out. From the user-friendly interface, the customizable options, the reporting (you have to check out the reporting!), and the permissions capability has made working in the world of 'people' a really enjoyable experience; and as the Employee Experience Manager at RedBalloon – I know what a good experience at work is all about!
