My experience has been very pleasant overall, and when I saw my husband using it for his work too, I said it's awesome!

Pros

I like the look and feel of . At my past job, we used ADP, and it was always glitchy and felt very outdated. I like that I can see my payroll easily, and they have filters you can use to update it to your liking. The job posting feature is easy to use. I love being able to see when other people at my company are on vacation or not. We are a small company, and I do not know how much we pay for it, but it works for us. I know when we were big, it was a great way to see what everyone was up to, and it tracks birthdays and work anniversaries. It's super cool. Never used the customer service support, but I know our contractor does, and they said it's good. No complaints. They are definitely worth joining.

Cons

It's weird that it's set up by the company's domain, so if you do not know it, sometimes you have trouble logging in. For example, anywhere I do not have the link bookmarked. But, aside from that, they are great.

It is clean and straightforward is for the basics—finding employee info, org details, and important documents is quick and not buried under too many menus. I also appreciate how it centralizes HR tasks (like time-off requests and approvals) so there’s less back-and-forth

Some areas feel a bit limited once you need more detail—like- reporting or pulling specific insights can require extra steps or doesn’t always give the exact view you want without workarounds. What stands out most about is how well it balances functionality with simplicity. The platform is incredibly easy to use, even for team members who aren’t particularly tech-savvy and customer support is top notch when needed. Everything from onboarding to day-to-day HR tasks feels intuitive and streamlined. I also appreciate the strong value for money. Features like payroll processing, employee communication, and job posting are all seamlessly integrated, which saves time and reduces the need for multiple systems.

Cons

There are very few downsides in my experience. If I had to point out something, it would be that certain advanced customization options could be expanded, particularly for organizations with highly specific or complex HR workflows in the Nuclear Industry dealing with security clearances. Overall, I love . It has made submitting time sheets and time off requests sooooo much easier than our old time card system. Being able to track my projects as well as add collaborators has been a wonderful perk of the software.

Pros

is super easy to use. Being able to see all your PTO hours in one place makes tracking things very simple. I am also a huge fan of the Goals section where I can add projects and breakdowns of what benchmarks need hitting and when. I also like that I can tag colleagues when collaborating on projects so we all are on the same page.

Cons

For me, the limit of 10 item breakdowns per project goal sometimes cause an issue and I have to do multiple goals for the same projects because I run out of boxes. The phone app also bugs out occasionally and I will have to reload it before I can log in or out.

Transitioning to a unified platform has professionalized our internal operations and significantly reduced the administrative "ping-pong" that typically happens between HR and the rest of the team. In a fast-paced agency environment, having a "hired-to-retired" workflow that actually works is a massive relief. It has allowed us to scale our onboarding—sending out digital offer letters and new hire packets in minutes rather than hours—while keeping our employee data clean and compliant. While no software is perfect—the reporting engine can feel a bit rigid when you need hyper-specific, cross-tabular data—the trade-off for such an intuitive user interface is well worth it. It’s one of the few tools we use that requires almost zero training for new hires; they just "get it."

Mostly positive. It does the main HRIS job well and our team is actually using it, which was not the case with our previous system. Where it falls short is when you start needing more advanced functions, like complex payroll cases, custom reports, or real recruiting features. At that point you either pay for extra modules or build a workaround.

Pros

The thing I liked most is how quickly we managed to onboard the whole team. We were using spreadsheets and a messy Google Drive folder before, and in around two weeks everyone had their profile set up and was actually using the system. The interface doesn't look like a typical enterprise software, which is important because some of our employees only log in two or three times in a year. Time-off requests work very well. Employee submits, manager gets a notification, and that's it. No more chasing people on Slack to ask if they saw the email. Mobile app is also useful for this, since some of our team are not sitting at a desk all day.

Cons

Price is the main issue for me. They charge per employee per month, and it gets expensive quickly, especially when you start adding Payroll and Performance as separate modules. It feels like every feature I really needed was behind another paywall. For a small business, you should really calculate if the total cost makes sense compared to using few cheaper tools separately. Payroll itself is okay but not amazing. We had some problems with tax filings in the first quarter and reaching support on the phone took longer than expected. Support is mostly by email and the response time can be slow if your problem is not marked as urgent.

We still kept Lever for recruiting, but BambooHR is now our main HRIS.

Our overall experience has been great. Previously, our hiring, time tracking, PTO tracking, benefit enrollments, and such were all done manually. Moving to has given us one place to do it all, and it's incredible the amount of time we've saved and how much positive feedback we've received from employees.

Pros

I love the ease of use for our employees. Seeing their time off, paychecks, their benefit enrollments, our ORG chart, and making announcements is easy. Onboarding/Hiring is streamlined, as well as posting job ads and reviewing resumes directly from makes business operations less stressful!

Cons

Setting up benefit open enrollment can be a little tricky, but overall is a great feature. Employees have mentioned they would like to be able to see their paystubs at least a day before they get paid.

is one of the most simplified HRIS solutions out there. The value is spot on for what you get. Their customer support is always available and responsive. It can handle all things payroll, employee directory, job postings and onboarding, and document management.

Very frustrating, honestly. I’m giving it 2 stars because the basic employee management side does function, but if recruiting is a major part of your day, look somewhere else. The lack of basic modern integrations like LinkedIn makes it feel like software from 10 years ago. Add the random server outages into the mix, and you get a tool that often creates more work instead of saving time

Pros

The basic features like time-off requests and the employee directory are fine. It keeps employee documents and personal info organized well enough once someone is actually hired and in the system

Cons

The recruitment module is awful. The biggest problem is that there is absolutely no integration with LinkedIn. Every single time I want to add a candidate, I have to manually type or copy-paste all their details and resume info into the system. When you're doing high-volume hiring, this wastes hours of my week. On top of that, the platform's reliability is bad. The whole service just crashes and goes down for a few hours at least a couple of times a month, leaving the HR team completely stuck. No AI functions in recruitment is a big disappointment nowadays

My overall experience with has been nothing but amazing! I haven't had any issues with the system; it doesn't crash, provide errors, nor freezes. Every document HR sends through BambooHR never has any issues and the layout is very simple and clean.

Pros

The main aspect I enjoy about is I can change my personal information so I don't have to contact HR; which saves time. Our HR also sends the monthly newsletter through BambooHR so it is nice to be updated on monthly events that occurred or will occur. It is also nice that the software tracks when you started with a company; so you never have to wonder when you started.

Cons

I can't think of a single aspect that I dislike about . The system has never crashed on me and the site is nicely organized. It probably took me less than 10 minutes to figure out the layout.

É muito gratificante poder ver quantos dias de férias você tem e solicitar o descanso em 30 segundos, sem precisar enviar três e-mails para o RH. Para o RH: Ele elimina o "ruído". Pretty good. A solid 8/10. It's more visually appealing than most of the other payroll apps and sites I've used, and offers more options than some.

Pros

It's very easy to use and makes it so I can access a lot of company-specific benefits like payroll, time off, insurance, and my 401K/retirement.

Cons

The app could use a little more bug fixes, I prefer using the desktop version as it usually has less issues. But customer support has been very helpful in their communication.

Very easy to navigate. The tabs make it easy to toggle between different subjects. I don't have to wonder where each item is located.

Cons

2 step verification. It can be a little bit annoying to have to put in my email and password, then have to receive a text with a verification code. But, I am glad it is protected.

I have been using for the past few months with my current employer, and so far it has worked well for me. I have not run into any problems or issues when tracking my time sheets. Everything on the website is easy to use, learn, and navigate. I would highly recommend this system if you are looking for a way to manage your employee's payroll as a small business owner.

Pros

I like that it is easy to input your time into the system. If you make a mistake, it is also possible to go back and edit. The overall system makes it effortless for my employer to review and track the hours towards my payroll. If there are any notes that need to be added, there is a notes function that makes it possible to communicate any changes or updates to my time for the day.

Cons

So far I haven't encountered any negative aspects of using . Everything so far has been very straight forward and easy to understand. If there is a problem, however, I have faith that customer support would be able to help resolve the issue.

If your business is just starting out or relatively small, Bamboo might be the best fit for you. It has everything it needs, but without any feature standing out.

Pros

Bamboo is an affordable option for companies needing an HR system with all the essential features. From the user's perspective, the UI and various functions are easy to understand, and for most day-to-day functions, you are just a click away.

Cons

The UI for Time Tracking is atrocious, but it used to be good. If you need to view the entirety of your tables, you cannot do that unless you engage in side scrolling. To edit records for a given day, you need to enter edit mode for a specific table and again scroll down to the selected day. The candidate hiring and processing is definitely a step up from pen and paper, but again, it's elementary and lacks what other tools may offer.

Overall, Bamboo has been a huge positive in my work. I have used it at various companies, and when I worked somewhere that did not use it I always wish we did. It makes my life so much easier and I'm glad my current company uses it!

Pros

It's very easy to use. I use it all the time to check who is out of the office, who is planning to be out, and when to celebrate work anniversaries and birthdays. I love the org chart function as it very quickly allows me to find a person and who they report to. In general, it's just so easy to use and makes keeping track of my time off and my colleagues easily.

Cons

Because we're a small business, we have a lot of contractors. It's a little harder to manage them because it's harder to get them into the software to track. It would be cool to see a feature that allows you to hook up your Bamboo with the contracting companies so the employee only has to use one platform, but both parties are able to see that info.

The fact that it is an easy-to-use tool and allows me to keep track of my performance and communication with HR makes it more accessible.

Cons

Sometimes accessibility from other devices outside my desktop could be challenging. When I was a supervisor, I had a good experience with all the features the website offers. Yet some features were never available for me due to a lack of training, or my manager wouldn't use the platform for some topics. I'd love to know all the wonders the platform offers.

Our usage of Bamboo was more as an overlay system - as a multi-national employer, we have multiple payroll systems which created challenges with reporting and data analytics. The Bamboo platform allowed us to aggregate our data and maintain a unified system for reporting. We do also use the Onboarding module which has definitely helped us streamline the onboarding experience for both the new hire and internal teams. Not having leverage the Payroll & Recruitment modules I can't weigh in, though we did obtain a quote for full-service payroll at one point which was extremely competitive and comprehensive. We didn't pursue it as we weren't ready to move our Payroll at that time, but it was a compelling option! I'd recommend Bamboo for small to midsized organizations that are looking for a platform that has the ability to integrate with a multitude of HR and non-HR platforms, has solid reporting and an overall good user experience.

Pros

The Bamboo platform is very intuitive and customizable. The availability of integrations enabled us to combine records from multiple payroll platforms so we had one unified system for reporting & analytics. The Bamboo support team is also top notch - super responsive and easy to reach. The cost of the platform is very competitive, though some recent changes were implemented that force you to purchase modules you may not need.

Cons

Based on our usage of the platform, there was very little we had issues with. Perhaps the one area that we had some challenges with was the Onboarding module and the way you're able to configure tasks. For example, there isn't an option to configure a task based on whether the role is a people manager role. In the reporting functionality, there is an option to filter for whether the person is a Supervisor (i.e. has direct reports). But this option doesn't carry over to Onboarding, so unless you build a task by Job Title and maintain that task, you have to manually add the task when the person being hired is going to be a Supervisor.

I'd recommend it to any HR team looking for a clean, efficient, and employee-friendly platform.

Pros

The interface is clean, intuitive, and easy to navigate—even for non-technical users. Onboarding new hires is streamlined with customizable workflows, e-signatures, and digital document storage, which has saved our team countless hours. The employee self-service portal is excellent; staff can request time off, update personal information, and access pay stubs without HR involvement. Reporting features are flexible, and the mobile app works smoothly for on-the-go approvals. Integrations with payroll, applicant tracking, and performance management tools are also a strong plus.

Cons

Pricing can feel steep for smaller teams, especially once you start adding premium modules like payroll or performance management. Customization options are somewhat limited compared to enterprise-level HRIS platforms, and the reporting tool, while flexible, has a learning curve for building complex custom reports. Customer support is generally responsive, but response times can lag during peak periods.
