Pros BambooHR revolutionized our onboarding, offboarding, and hiring processes. I especially like hiring can be a collaborative process between HR and managers, and that a hired candidate can be switched over to an employee at the push of a button. Saves so much time! I also really appreciate the e-signing and document management capabilities. Cons While some staff find the features to be intuitive, others do not. While it may be unavoidable and the product does eventually save a lot of time, the platform is extremely comprehensive, so initially setting it up and learning how to use it can be time-consuming. By far Bamboo HR customer care reps are the best I have ever had to talk to. They are all calm, polite, and most of the time they can figure out what I need help fixing with the most awkward of incomplete explanations. Never have I ever felt condescended at which is easy to do when you work as a customer care assistant. Sometimes I even look forward to calling when I have a problem. Pros The product is unlike any time keeping/ employee management software I have ever used. You can pull all sorts of reports and other pertinent information you need for all kinds of situations. It makes end of the quarter audits for insurance a breeze. Cons Sometimes it is unintuitive and there are many different places to make possible changes. Sometimes those changes get a little out of hand and I need to call and have customer service help me untangle it. Reason for choosing BambooHR BambooHR was already in place when I started working here. I plan to stay based on the exceptional customer service as well as the features in the program. April 24, 2023 5.0 Best thing ever! Really it is! I tell everyone about it and how much I love it! Pros I LOVE everything about BambooHR. I love that I don't need to hire an assistant because BambooHR makes my job easier. The thing I love most is the job applicant/hiring part of BambooHR. It is easy to keep track of all candidates, who we interview, we are able to rate them and make notes. I love that I can send emails to so many applicants at once. Cons Nothing! If there is anything I wish BambooHR had that they didn't already, I give them feedback/suggestions on new ideas. They have actually implemented several of my ideas/solutions I suggested so I love that! You can easily request time off, view your employee and company information. It has a great interface for mobile devices and computers. If I am making progress or experiencing shortfalls. Also, my business has seen some level of seriousness since this system was implemented. Overall, I will say it is a great platform Pros BambooHR has some great integrations. For example, the platform allows me to know when my co-workers are out of the office or even celebrating a birthday.By far, Bamboo is a great platform. Cons One time, i had some challenges and I needed customer support, but the response was a bit late. I don't really know if it's still like that. But I still got the help I needed. We're on the basic package, and while there are several great extras available, we've decided against using some of them because of the additional costs associated with them. Pros BambooHR makes it possible for us to easily complete the onboarding process as well as draft all of our contracts, so we can use it from start to finish. Time off and paid time off features are great, and we especially like that they can be synced with our existing scheduling program. Cons I couldn't have done it without BambooHR's streamlined onboarding and recruitment processes. We don't need file cabinets because all of the staff's paperwork is kept in electronic form. I was able to hire as many as 50 workers in only two weeks by using this platform's streamlined onboarding process. The greatest value for me comes from the reporting and analytics. Pros Bamboo is very user-friendly and has excellent reports, such as turnover, sick time, etc. It is also possible to customize reports to generate analytics. The NPS report is excellent and again, has excellent analytics. We have utilized the data from the NPS to initiate HR programs and measure their success over time. Cons Only thing that is lacking is a full benefits administration module. We can see all employees at a glance as it stores employees' data in one place. Its customer service is also good. Pros It makes it easy to onboard new hires and is very helpful to organize all documents. It keeps all the data in one place which make work easy. It is very handy and helps to know the employee's details whenever we want. Cons There is room for improvement time tracking is not flexible and there are no special rules for calculation. It fills the onboarding need we have perfectly. Pros For new candidates & hiree's, this works very smoothly. Automates the process, keeping track of where everyone stands in the process. We needed a way to onboard 100+ summer employees virtually after COVID & this worked beautifully....the first year. Cons Two major drawbacks: 1. Even though I thoroughly describe our business model when we signed up, there was a HUGE disconnect on the rehiring process. We run a seasonal summer camp & rehire 50% or more of the same people every summer. They have to be reoffered a position & sent new onboarding documents. The system really DOES NOT do this well at all. Yes you can rehire people but no you can't send them through the same process as a new candidate. This seems ludicrous as a rehire is a rehire...they need a new offer letter & new onboarding documents. 2. They really rely on videos & online tutorials for their help. A live person is hard to come by & our set-up is not the norm & we need hand holding to work through the kinks. Sending me documents to read & videos to watch is a pain. Just answer the question. As a COO of a small business, I wear a lot of hats. This software helps to manage all employee-related functions. Without HR being my main duty this helps with keeping things on track and tracking everything so that you won't forget. Cons I have no complaints about the software. Using BambooHR freed up money to put towards the programs, instead of operations, helping us to change the world for better. Pros It was easy to implement (with the help of Bamboo's reps), easy to deploy, easy to adapt, easy to use, and very user friendly. I have older staff who were reluctant to adopt new software, take to BambooHR like a duckling to water. So wonderful to watch! Cons To be honest, the frequent changes and upgrades. I understand the need to have things work better but some products, maybe have the deployment through beta be longer and more extensive before letting all users go through multiple iterations? Cons PTO amounts are incorrect on paycheck stubs. It's a reliable tool to help any size of company doing their analysis and keeping up good control over their Human Resources. Pros BambooHR is pretty easy to use and to create report that are critical for our forecasting and our financial analysis. While I didn't participate in the integration of the tool, it seems that it was easy to integrate and keep up to date afterward. Cons There are just a couple of small things that are not working perfectly (and it might be due to the way we use it). I was unable to create a solid report to analyze the salary increases per employee over time. Employees entries are duplicated over multiple lines which was not super useful. Pros Saves time, especially for a small company. Everything is on one place and accessible to all. We are more efficient and able to go to other projects. Integration of payroll is also great. Cons Only a couple of little things, there's a small thing when adding a new EE before their first pay cycle (to invite them to fill out their paperwork etc), they still show on the payroll grid to pay.
