A great HR solution that meets our needs.

Pros

A very intuitive platform that was easy to adopt and employees had very little friction during the rollout. Excellent feature set including candidate tracking, leave request tracking, entitlements and organisation hierarchy\\search capabilities. As a global organisation, the flexibility of the platform to meet our geographically specific requirements made the planning and implementation a simple process

I have been as happy as I could be with the initial set up, (\[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] was beyond description!), and the support I’ve received is beyond anything I’ve ever seen in my career. The support team literally have the patience of Jobe, the service of Disney, and set the standard for service in business.

Pros

I like the ease of use, incredibly awesome support (iconic!) and the ease in setting up everything! I have actually recommended this software to everyone I know that needs a HR Portal.

Cons

I did not find any features that were not value added.

The features were what we needed now, and there is ability to flex up - payroll. I did not feel like we were paying for features we did not need. Other Companies were pushing products that pushed the price uo, but we did not need.

Needed an affordable HR system that could do everything we needed it to. For the most part it does, but we have to use ADP for our Payroll to satisfy that aspect of our business, including our time keeping and vacation. We use a different Applicant Tracking System for recruiting and hiring, but everything else goes through BambooHR.

Pros

The user interface is perfectly logical and easy to navigate. Very simple format with ability to handle complex scenarios.

Cons

The time keeping and payroll features are bolt ons. It would be nice to have fully integrated, inhouse designed and operated options for a 100% complete all-in-one system.

Reason for choosing BambooHR

Affordability, and their HQ is a few hours up the road from us in our home state. We liked the idea of working with the home team.

BambooHR is an excellent product. Easy to use for all, outstanding customer service and constant upgrades and modifications.

Pros

BambooHR is a use friendly product (for even the most technically challenged employee) where you can view the employee life cycle, make life easy for employees and HR, and save a few trees.

Cons

It would be great to have a multiple managers feature (we have employees that have more than one manager). Payroll calculating in days versus hours would be nice to pull from PTO to paystubs.

HR tools in one place covering all HR functions and the entire employee lifecycle from applicant tracking, hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, clearance, movements, resignation, retirement... all in! The reporting tool is powerful enough, just make sure to have everything you need planned and mapped out so you can have it all set up by the vendor right from the bat. :)

Pros

Cloud-based HR software is less hassle to maintain for the internal IT team, and easy to manage for the HRM staff. It is full-featured, at least more than what we needed to manage the entire lifecycle of an employee (hiring, performance, records, training, timekeeping, movements, resignation, retirement, etc). The tracking is easy and intuitive (e.g., how many leaves left/used, timekeeping record). The home/dashboard is attractive and easy to navigate. The digital HR 201 files are well kept in one secure place. BambooHR is flexible and extensible to keep all the needed information for each employee.

Cons

Updates to the software come in too pricey. The ability to add/remove custom fields and reports have to go through their customer support/channel. Therefore, make sure that you have everything already mapped out during your project planning and implementation for your company (to minimize change requests and additional cost).

I would like for more external platforms to sync so we don't need to manually add. Once we send something out for signatures, we cannot edit midway through or delete once its in someone's inbox.

My overall experience have been highly positive , it you are a mid size startup like us that is rapidly hiring , expanding and are looking for tool that provides end to end HRIS then bamboo must be on your list.

Pros

What I liked the most about this product is the end to end hr management/ops products and services that it provides. From time tracking, time off, on boarding, off boarding, employee payroll management, centralized employee database for storing all the details as well as the documents, etc.

Cons

One thing that I think is missing is the reporting feature of the products as compared to some of its other competitors. Its should provided some elaborate reporting with many metrics.

What I found using paylocity and paycor was that they are not really easy to use or implement. Also their cusotmer service support lacks in some areas.

The system has enabled the organization of employee data perfectly and accesses it at any time when required. Has become central stop shop for organization's Human Resources.

Pros

1\. Simple to use and very user friendly colors 2. I loved that we are able to manage the leave days of all the employees in one central place. 3. The system is awesome as it is one true source of employee information for the entire organization 4. It helps the organization to stay compliant by tracking and managing all the statutory required documents at a central place 5. It has been helpful in tracking employee tenure and benefits accrued and hence manage benefits system.

Cons

1\. It applies the aspect of garbage in, garbage out. If wrong information is entered, then the company access wrong information for its processes

We were reluctant to purchase HR software, but we're so glad we did. We love the employee survey through the Performance Management model and Bamboo has really helped up organize our staff.

Customer support is generally very responsive, but there are time when it's hard to reach someone or hold time are long.

Pros

With popular job postings I got 100 applications for a single position, and I was happy how Bamboo provided me with overview of people I already saw and people I still have to check, and I could rate them and leave notes and discuss the candidates in comments with other people involved in the process. Besides, the mobile app is quite good, and I could briefly check notes or applications on the way before the interview.

Cons

Other than hiring process, eventually we did not use any functionality, even when we tried to start. Other parts just lack special features or something that would distinguish Bamboo. So I cannot recommend it for anything else outside hiring.

Easy to use, clear overview of every information stored in BambooHR. Especially for a lot of HR reporting, it is very easy to get data out of this system.

Pros

It has a clear overview of all your employees, with all the information you need about them. From salary to Holiday use. For a first time user it is very easy to use. No need to have a long explanation first time using this product.

Nothing really, cannot come up with anything I do not like about this product.

Pros

I liked the preboarding feature a lot - makes it very easy to onboard new employees even before they started, it's fully automated so all you have to do is just mark a person as hired and set up a workflow once and the rest is taken care of. nice feature of having people answer questions about themselves as it helps the team to learn more about their future colleagues. the performance module is very simple but in the same time gives enough information and insight. it's based on deloittes approach to redesign performance reviews. I liked the reporting on the performance too, as it shows in one glance who's engaged and high performer vs those who has some issues which HR or a manager should take care of. The goal setting/tracking feature is also nice and simple, allows managers to comment on the progress which encourages frequent feedback and giving kudos.

Cons

Bamboo's support team is in the US and also as they grew bigger, they switched to ticket system vs just messaging them which made the process of gettig support slower. it's understandable but for us as a customer it was quite visible. also the customisation is not so easy and many requests were turned down as it wasn't on their roadmap.

I generally like the idea of the BambooHR having a comprehensive suite of HR solutions as it goes a long way in providing efficient HR management capabilities. Its robust reporting tools are excellent as they track the data and update me on time. their swift onboarding and offboarding processes has really become one of my favourite feature as it has reduced the general onboarding costs.

Pros

BambooHR is a game-changer when it comes to HR software. We've been using it for our growing company for over a year now, and it has truly streamlined our HR processes. The onboarding and offboarding workflows that used to be a time-consuming process have been simplified .

Cons

Despite that it provides valuable HR solutions, BambooHR is a bit relatively expensive for smaller businesses or startups. Individuals on a tight budget might be a little overwhelmed, but luckily I think they have introduced cheaper plans.

We've had a great experience with BambooHR. Going into it we knew very little about the software and had just heard great things. Now that we've been on it for a few years I can say that the software has grown along with our business. It seems like BambooHR really takes the customers needs and requests to heart and tries to make the software fit each customers needs. We look forward to the new feature releases and just being able to use the software as it is for years to come!

Pros

My favorite thing about BambooHR, in general, is that they are always trying new things and releasing new features. They just released a sync feature that syncs with TRAX Payroll software and cuts out the time needed to reconcile the 2 systems. The software is very user-friendly and you are able to find a help article about nearly anything you could ever want to know. One of my favorite features is the e-signing you can set up for HR documents. Our on-boarding goes a lot smoother not having to print out each form and fill out by hand. The Hiring module also works great. In that module, I love the ability to rate each individual candidate and keep internal notes about them. I really appreciate the ability to track conversations had with that candidate within the module so I don't have to hunt down the communication in my inbox each time.

Cons

I've only been able to find one single thing that I would change about the software and that is that I would make it possible for one person to be a manager for operations purposes and another person manager for compensation purposes. I've ran into the problem where the operations person doesn't need to see the compensation of their co-worker, but another person at a VP level should be able to request and approve compensation, essentially skipping over the Operations Manager for compensation purposes. I haven't yet found a way around it, so we just eliminated the Operations Manager from the profile and have the VP listed as manager, but this doesn't change my opinion that I would recommend this to anyone!
