Cons I don't like how the way of viewing company files works. It is not user friendly and there have been a few times where it gets stuck. Since then, we have matured as an organization and have begun to leverage the company goals, personal employee performance and growth. We love the platform, and I recommend it all of the time to fellow entrepreneurs. Pros BambooHR has everything I need to manage the day-to-day HR activities and the tools to monitor and develop employee growth and goals. Cons I can't really think of any cons. We love the platform. Pros Bamboo HR has great HR features for a team. The ease of use for employees is exceptional. The overall program is easy to navigate and provides one central location for all important documents and policies for staff as well as time tracking. I wish I could utilise the payroll function but this is a challenge not being in the US. Pros BambooHR is easy to implement and to use. It is very user friendly. I enjoy their reporting features and the ability to customise the platform based on our needs. Cons I don't like that it doesn't remember my logins and logs me out after a short period of time. Cons Some things are harder to find (e.g. for onboarding, finding the answers to introduction questions after certain time).Also, Bamboo has integration with Glassdoor and Indeed, but somehow our job ads from Serbia are not being posted there. I contacted Bamboo, and they forwarded me to Indeed, and it was so many backs and forts that at the end the problem was never sold, for a year and a half, as no one took responsibility for this. In my opinion, since we are Bamboo's customers, and this feature is promised, I would expect from Bamboo to solve it for us, and not involve me chasing Indeed. Pros BambooHR is very user-friendly, which is really nice for a small company that doesn't have one person dedicated to just HR duties. Employees very rarely have issues using it, and it has so many features included in each package. Customer service usually responds very fast and wait times for phone calls are not typically too long. Cons Occasionally the app crashes. Also, it requires that you assign each employee to directly report to someone else, which doesn't always make sense in a company structured like ours. Reason for choosing BambooHR Because it was the most user-friendly and reasonably priced. Pros Requesting days off in a few steps by using the mobile app is my favourite feature, and the employee profile, calendar, and employee list / chart are easy too use and quite informative. Cons We are missing a major degree of automation and integration with tools like Google Calendar, in order to, for example, automatically set a OoO event in the employee calendar when a requested PTO is approved by the manager. Compared to my Google Sheets, this is light years ahead. Pros I was initially worried about implementing an HRIS, but I am absolutely in love with BambooHR. With their help, I was able to automate many previously manual tasks, including onboarding and offboarding, performance tracking, and building a team community. I believe our suggestions are listened to in most cases. Pros The Applicant Tracking Feature in BambooHR has significantly and positively impacted our recruitment efforts. It helped us to move from a very manual tracking process to an automated process that saves us time and provides consistent messaging to candidates. Cons For onboarding, I'd like to be able to better manage WHEN the onboarding assignments go out to staff. For applicant tracking, I wish there was another option for sharing with collaborators that would not provide full access to the ATS. Speed up the HR internal process a lot specially in terms of time tracking and tracking leaves. Pros This is a very modern platform compared to other systems I've used. Every feature is one click away with the amazing interface, to track time or to submit an expense or submit a leave is super fast. No training needed. Pros What is most appreciated is the user friendly platform. Not all of our employees are comfortable using computers or even smart phones and they quickly learn to navigate Bamboo! Cons Would greatly appreciate more timesheet/timekeeping reporting options, right now we do this manually. There are some things that could be added to make life easier and those ideas have been submitted. For instance, one that I would think is a quick fix - but maybe not - is the ability to send a document for signature to a department or a certain job title. They've thought of virtually everything. If they haven't, they'll always accept feedback or suggestions and implement them. Personally customized reports are easy to create and use. Everyone meet or work with is beyond kind and so personable. BambooHR employees are great with customers. Cons Being in Australia does mean there is a time delay in receiving support. It is also problematic if the task you are struggling with is challenging to communicate through an email ticket; sometimes, just chatting with someone would be helpful and would be more time efficient for all parties involved. If you can wait a few days and are a little bit flexible with timing, your customer support agent may be available to jump on a video call to assist. This will need to be requested, however. They're constantly making adjustments and improvements to help make the users' lives easier. And they provide great communication (and entertaining videos) to introduce said changes to help the user succeed! Cons There are times where I'm surprised at the software's limitations in customization (when running reports or adding employee data fields), but I'm only surprised because of how terrific the software is overall!
