Cons The only concern I've ever had with BambooHR is trying to easily locate certain documentation. It's organized in folders, and I didn't have a great search function. But this was a minor issue. I enjoy the fairly recent addition of the Employee Community as it allows company wide messages that keep everyone in the loop. Pros As an employee, Bamboo makes it very easy to review and access pay information, request time off, and access important documents. The user interface is very intuitive and everything seems to work as advertised. Pros The user interface is very clean and user-friendly, I have not had any issues navigating the platform. Anytime I have needed customer support, I have received satisfactory help. When I need to reference my payments from my company's payroll system, I can easily see it on my account. Cons I have not found much that I dislike about the Bamboo platform. April 30, 2025 5.0 BambooHR has really helped us streamline data, reporting, storing documents, accruing PTO accurately and we also use it as our Applicant Tracking System via our website. We love BambooHR! Pros Ease of use and I love that I can store documents for all employees to see when they need them. I also like that now our PTO is accruing properly. Our company is a fan of the Employee Satisfaction Survey. We value the honest responses and it helps us address where we need to focus our attention. Cons I wish BambooHR would have a feature that wouldn't allow employees to request any PTO while they are in the 90-day waiting period. Cons What I like least about bamboo is I get logged out a lot and when I try to save my info it doesn't always save and I often forget my password having to reset it over and over. The platform is reliable, easy to navigate, and has a friendly, intuitive user experience that makes completing HR tasks simple and efficient. Pros BambooHR is very easy to navigate and intuitive to use. I especially like the home page, which provides helpful highlights and relevant information at a glance. Or searching people within the organization. I also find it very helpful to get familiar with the structure of the organization. Cons One improvement I would like to see is having access to pay stub and payroll information directly within the platform. " October 27, 2025 4.0 Overall it has been great. When I apply for jobs I really hope that Bamboo is being used by the company. It makes applying for jobs much easier than other places. Pros I have applied for many other jobs on different websites and the user interface and ability to add the necessary pieces of a job applications are most easily done on Bamboo. Other sites take your documents and try to put them into words on sections, which never works cleanly given the different formats. The tabs are labeled well and make sense as far as to what is stored within them. Communication with my team in each department is simple and effective. Pros It is relatively easy to use. Uploading documents, signing new contracts, updating direct deposits information with payroll, and ability to communicate with each department as needed. Pros Bambo is easy to use and fairly intuitive. I like that there is a APP that can be used as well so that it is accesible from home easily. For example, if you need to request a sick day you don't have to long into your computer to do so. I think the process for accessing our reviews is slow, and sometimes confusing. Cons Its pro that it's very streamlined, kind of is a con as well as it could be more feature reach and have integrations with MS teams etc. so that you could reach your colleagues from Bamboo on those platforms in a few clicks. My company with 150 employees is using it. However, as mentioned for Cons, it needs more features for companies with subsidiaries Pros Bamboo HR's UX is straight forward. It's easy to find where payroll is, org chart is and etc. Since BambooHR should be simple for all the employees to easily use, having straight forward UX is great. Cons Bamboohr doesn't provide subsidiaries options. It works for one single company. However, these days, there are lots of companies with subsidiaries and manage them. BambooHR doesn't support that option. Therefore from the perspective of management, BambooHR doesn't satisfy all demands. If you want a system that people actually enjoy logging into, this is it. Pros The user interface is beautiful and friendly. Features like "Celebrations" (birthdays/anniversaries) and the company announcements feed helped build a sense of community that is hard to replicate in clunkier enterprise tools. Customer Support was also generally very responsive and helpful compared to the ticket queues of larger vendors. Cons The Payroll and benefits administration features are somewhat basic. If you have complex commission structures (like we do with CIQ) or multi-state tax nuances, BambooHR struggles to handle them natively. Pros Great for everything to do with employee management, performance reviews, shared essential data and much more Cons Sometimes under “Hiring”, individual resumes and cover letters will not open in Chrome. I also use it to submit days off. Pros Bamboo HR is really easy to use. I have never have an issue with it (knock on wood). The steps to request days off, or fill out forms are very user friendly. Cons Nothing that I can think of. I have been using it for a few years, and have not encountered any problems with Bamboo HR.
