There's a lot of things we can do with the system, like store their new-hire documents, pay info, job descriptions, goals/performance, etc. Cons Sometimes when doing payroll, we get notices of employees who have issues with their payroll being submitted but sometimes it's hard to understand what the issue is or how to fix it. We had good support, but honestly we didn't need it very much. We really enjoyed the user experience of Bamboo and were reluctant to leave it behind. Pros It is VERY streamlined and user friendly. They have really put some thought into its presentation and end-user needs. Cons It didn't offer us the option to integrate our benefits. We use a self-funded plan, so I think Bamboo just hadn't expanded enough to be able to service self-funded health plans yet. However, it would be really nice if HR were to reach out to teams when they have a document available. Currently two systems are used for HR and streamlining would be great. Pros Fairly easy to use, do not need any training. I like that you can see who is off and who has a birthday coming up so it's nice to know what's going on with the team. Cons I don't use it very often which means so far, I haven't found any red flags. May be useful to have a more customizable approach for individual employees. I appreciate how easy it is to review and manage time off requests, make amendments to time cards, and the overall integration with other benefits platforms. Pros Easy to navigate, the hiring status flow is setup intuitively and the time off requests are easy to submit or retract. The integration with other benefits platforms such as Gusto work well. Cons I don't like that I'm notified to approve payroll prior to the end of the pay period. We have pay periods set up, for example, the 1st through the 15th of the month and I often receive this notification prior to the end of the day on the 15th. Review Source CG Courtney G. Cons The biggest complaint is that it’s clearly built for small to mid-sized businesses (SMBs). Once a company hits around 500+ employees or starts dealing with complex global operations, starts to feel "lightweight." It lacks the heavy-duty power that massive enterprises need for deep organizational scaling.
