Pros

I will say the thing I like most about Network for Good is the support we receive from them. They have been available every step of the way through our data merge and learning the system! They meet with us every month to check in and see how we're doing.

Cons

So far I haven't found anything, but I've only been using a few months. But it everything we had in our previous software but this is a lot easier to use.

Accuracy of information. Able to research donors to determine how often they give, amount of gift, etc. Most important support from Salsa staff.

Pros

Salsa is much better than our previous experience with another vendor who will remain un-named. Generating reports is easy and the database is easy to work with. Most important to us is the support provided by Salsa. I am able to reach them during business hours and they spend the time needed to solve any issues. They are clearly customer oriented. Many others I researched charged extra for this level of service. With Salsa it is included.

Cons

Does not link to other email providers. It would be nice to be able to use Constant Contact or another email provider and have it link directly to the program. Engage is nice, but is some cases not as easy to use as are the other email service providers. Having said that we are very satisfied with our use of Salsa overall and have no plans to go looking for anyone else.

We are a local chapter of a national nonprofit organization, and manage roughly 50,000 records. I use it daily with little to no issues, enter and acknowledging donations and keeping details records of constituents. My favorite part is the ProPortal where you can get resources such as software upgrades and video tutorials.

Pros

Easy to use. Tons of online resources. Open to user input.

Cons

Getting more complicated issues resolved can be a chore. But I think this is an example of growing pains. Hopefully more staff will cure this problem.

Our fundraising team has found the ability to send out a blast email or campaign especially easy to do with a quality appearance with very little effort comparatively.

Pros

We really found the most useful aspect was our time spent with our fundraising coach. She really helped us pinpoint what was necessary to focus on our fundraising efforts while helping us avoid wasting time and effort with what was not important . She knew what worked and what didn't.

Cons

I would say the only con would be that we use Quickbooks software (not online). Donations are put in twice. Once into Quickbooks and another time time into Network for Good.

Amazing overall experience. The help with creating "task" is like an educational drill where after you schedule your first campaign, you realize what it takes to organize a campaign with the tools isn't difficult. You can plan two weeks to a month of scheduled videos, emails, text and video in 1 - 3 days.

Pros

What we like about the platform is being able to communicate to our supporters without the use of multiple platforms. It really changes the game when you can see everything on one platform that lets you target your support base with ease.

Cons

I haven't experienced any cons. I would say it was pricey, but after using network for good, I realized how much time and money we saved. We can't afford to hire a full time fundraising manager, so this platform helped us out in a great way.

### "SALSA is THE best!"

I’ve been with SALSA now for several years. In the beginning I kept trying to make it Network for Good - which I left because they were so non-responsive, but they do have good interfaces and options, and their donation processing is a breeze. But the reality is, that I left NFG because I couldn’t get what I wanted. From my first day with SALSA, though, the team behind the product stood out and they jumped through hoops and turned somersaults to make me happy and get me the training I needed. I even got a call from the President of the company to talk about what I was experiencing and to make sure I was getting what I needed. I can’t imagine any other company with a “the customer comes first” culture that reaches all the way to the top. No matter what I come up with that I want to do, I find that there’s a way to do it in SALSA (except around the donations!). I would recommend this product to anyone and everyone without reservations!

Pros

Since 2003 we have purchased, leased, been granted and explored too many databases to count. Until we finally found our home with SALSA. The team is constantly upgrading and adding features, the customer support is absolutely unparalleled, and their dedication to the end-user is obvious in the features they have and those that they've added over the years we've been with them. Every software CRM has issues. One of the things that sets SALSA apart from all of the others is their customer service team. They go the extra mile and then they just keep going even further to work with you, fix any issue you're having, suggest new features to the development team based on your needs....they are just the absolute best.

Cons

I'm not as fond of their donation processing partner. For example, if a donor wants to increase their giving amount you have to cancel their old donation and they have to go in and create a whole new donation. Some of their training material leaves a lot out, but the responsiveness of their support team more than makes up for that.

Overall I am very satisfied with Network for Good and its team. I am very happy we made the switch and would do it again in a heartbeat!

Pros

I love that by switching to Network for Good my organization was able to cancel four other monthly software subscriptions. This not only saves money, but streamlines our work and lets us see everything all in one place. The live chat function in the tool provide great customer service when I'm doing something new for the first time and need some extra guidance.

Cons

The formatting for email blasts can be a bit cumbersome at times. NfG has a range of nice premade templates, but if you want to build something else it can take a bit of time to insert pictures, captions etc.

Overall, we are very satisfied with Bonterra Guided Fundraising.

Pros

We like the full integration of donation tracking. The system flags duplicates which makes administration easier. The system reminds us to send acknowledgments. Auction integrates with donation module.

Cons

Reporting is sometimes awkward and not very intuitive. Data must be exported to an outside worksheet and then re-arranged in meaningful ways.

My experience has been very productive as I am able to report essential data that is very important to our financial planning and required reporting. I have a much better handle on our donors and their contributions and have benefited from the fundraising information that is always being provided by NFG.

Pros

NFG has a lot of moving parts and offers a great deal of important data for a nonprofit organization. I find the customer service excellent and very efficient. The program offers support with many different options . I find the software easy to use and would recommend this product as an excellent source of donor data especially for nonprofits. I am always learning new tools that are available with this software.

Cons

The integration was smooth. I do find the "search" for contacts can be improved. Downloading quick reports options should be more widely

### "Extremely satisfied with Network For Good!"

Our small nonprofit has benefited greatly by using Network For Good. It is the perfect fit for our growing charity. We started using it simply for receiving online donations, and now we use it for event management and donor database management. It has been a great experience since we began using NFG three years ago. We have just started using the Donor Database Management tool, and it has made this year's donor outreach extremely easy. Because of this new tool, we have a handle on our donor information in ways that we have not been to before. We have no complaints whatsoever about Network For Good.

Pros

NFG is very user-friendly (both on the donor and nonprofit ends). The few times that we had support issues or questions, they were answered immediately with total professionalism. Donation pages are extremely easy to set up, with clear instructions and tips along the way. The feedback from our donors has all been positive. The team at NFG is professional and efficient. We have enjoyed a very positive relationship.

Cons

Honestly, we can't think of anything negative. Any problem we have had has been remedied immediately and professionally.

Cons

I do not like the product now that it is absorbed under Bonterra? It does NOT work effectively and I can NOT access my account when I need to. It has been a mess since Bonterra took over.

### "Great Value -- Exceptional Support"

The software is very good and people have clearly take this development task very seriously. And it's geared towards technical idiots -- and I'm happily in that camp! So if I can figure this out, anyone with a little patience can. But all of this takes second fiddle to the corporate culture they seem to have developed. The support folks REALLY want you to succeed and they have a lot of good advice, and plenty of patience to help you navigate the system. If I had one complaint it's that the one-on-one training sessions are 30 minutes rather than 45 or 60 minutes. But folks, that's minor compared to the enormous positives in this software platform. Now that I know what I know, I would do this again with zero hesitation.

Pros

The developer's seem to have thought of just about everything. Once you get oriented, it is fairly easy to use and you're provided with many options to enhance donor & campaign management you may not have even considered before.

Cons

My initial training/on-boarding was complete chaos and I was fearing I had made a terrible mistake in deciding on this route. I was getting advice from too many people -- but the advice consisted of links to things that made no sense at all to me. I complained somewhat loudly about this issue. It was a super-frustrating for a week or so. BUT, once it got all straightened out and I had my initial one-on-one training session (which should have been the FIRST thing to happen before any other emails) things totally changed to be a completely positive experience.

Great training available. Initially we did live training and then as we use more features we use the on-line videos that can be accessed anytime. If we need additional assistance NFG has several options to contact them for support.

Cons

NFG only transfers funds one time a month for donations that go through their website.

We have only been using Network for Good for a little over a month and it has been great. The ease of use has increased our productivity and has helped us keep on track with all of our fundraising and donor outreach goals.

Pros

Switching to Network for Good has been so smooth and easy. They have fantastic customer support and the software is easy to navigate. We are really enjoying using this software for both donor management and fundraising.

Cons

The only downside we have seen so far is there aren't as many preset filters as we would like for running reports. It just takes us a few more steps to get the reports we need.

### "An important upgrade"

Pros

Our 25 year old nonprofit was doing everything manually, including tracking donations, generating acknowledgements, and any reports. This meant that we often weren't able to actually produce reports, keep an eye on important donor metrics, or ensure that our data was accurate. Network for Good takes care of all of those pieces, and we've been able to use this software to streamline our fundraising.

Cons

The only negative is that templates can be difficult to set up if you're using a full-page letterhead template and need it to print out in high quality. We have been able to get around it, and the system works just fine! We were able to get assistance with this issue from the Network for Good team

The switch has been so easy. The customer support is like none other. Working with the same team upon setup helps keep everyone on the same page.

Pros

I like the ease of use. The way the forms are built and go directly into the individual donor is so helpful.

Cons

I wish they were more customizable. The forms look pretty much the same as there are no options to move parts of the form around.

NFG is not only fundraising software, but our database. It's so easy to use and really helped us keep our donors organized. The campaigns, communication tools and reporting are SO easy! And the customer service is out of this world. I also like that NFG is the software connected to Facebook and other social media platforms for their giving (like birthday fundraisers).

Pros

The software is intuitive, but if I ever need help, the customer service is superior! Someone is always available almost immediately.

Cons

I do wish there was an app for my phone. It's still easy to use on a phone browser, but I feel like an app would be easier for immediate video messaging and some of the other features.

Network for good has been a great choice for us. The on boarding training, the ono-on-one with a fundraising specialist, the customer support, the ease of use has been so beneficial. I would recommend this product to anyone! I also love the ability to connect this product with quickbooks. Makes managing donors, fundraising and funds a breeze.

Pros

I love the ability to have everything in one place. We are a small but growing nonprofit and I feel we purchased this product at the perfect time.

Cons

I have not found any features that I do not like. Every feature I have used has been so helpful.

Pros

After trying other platforms, Network For Good has exceeded our needs. We were looking for an easy CRM software and a way to have donations go through one source. Network for Good enables us to have various campaigns and accept payment, with the software automatically integrated so we save time not having to manually enter every donation.

Cons

Making a newsletter was a bit more cumbersome than with mailchimp. But it might just be that I'm slow to learn this version!
