We have seen a growth in donations that more than paid for the cost. This has also just made our donor management more organized and easier to manage. Cons I would like to have more reasonably priced features such as online auction and more scaled down options for event management. I had a few issues and they were always quick to respond and always resolved any issues. I knew going into the process I would need a bit of handholding--they are really receptive to what you as the client needs. I felt only relief after I signed up and started using the platform. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] All the help desk people, and \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] were incredibly helpful. Pros This was an easy product to integrate into our non-profit. I needed a way to track donations, donors and tax receipts--this was an excellent solution. My work load went from two hours of putting donations into a spread sheet to a half hour. This feature alone has saved me a lot of time. Cons I don't love the page editing tools. The communication tools, processes and methods will be a major part of our months ahead. Pros We now have everything regarding fundraising, donor management, and organizational activity in one place. The information database and communication tools will help us drive our fundraising and organizations activities to a much higher level. We expect this software will allow us to move forward in a very professional manner with our donor pool. They were very patient and have very good customer service and follow up. You're not trained and then never get to speak to a human again! They even have a chat feature. Pros The feature I enjoy the most is the campaign feature! It lets you create a campaign and then lets you see where you're at! Cons It's a little daunting and requires some training to get started. We raised almost 5K with our first fundraiser, and we expect to save hundreds of hours of human resources every year. NFG will ultimately improve our financial status by increasing fundraising dollars and decreasing the work hours assigned to administrative tasks. Pros The biggest impact on operations is the fact that all of our contacts are in one place. We can divide the contacts into groups according to relationship and reason for communicating. This will save hundreds of hours of human resources each year, allowing us to redirect those hours to programming tasks. Cons The two things that proved most difficult have to do with transitioning to NFG from our many different sources. For one, self importing requires us to fit all spreadsheets into one template and costs many hours of human resources. Second, NFG requires that we use their templates for communications instead of using our current documents as an attachment like we do with emails. That, too, is time consuming. I recommend allowing ample time to move everything to NFG before you begin using it for the very first time. NFG provides excellent support during your transition stage for self-importing. You can select to have them import your data, as well. Reason for choosing Bonterra Network for Good We compared prices and features for three software companies.
