Pros

The most impactful feature is the ability for our organization to track donations by programs and run reports using that same information. The program was fairly simple to integrate and has become more and more user friendly. I am sure there are still features that we haven't used but we are getting there.

Easy to set up.

Pros

Very easy to get set up. We were getting on the platform after using only excel sheets. Canned reports are also helpful.

Cons

I think it would be great if there was a user group or community of users available to exchange ideas.

We enjoy our regular coaching sessions. They have helped us to upgrade our work and increase our giving. When we have questions, NFG connecting with a real person is easy.

Pros

One staff member was able to set up the software and our everyday giving page on the phone with a coach in less than 15 minutes. We didn't need a full course to learn how to use the software or maintain it.

Cons

We had no cons. We just wish more Jumpstart scholarships were available for orgs to give this program a try.

Great group of people. The only issue we have experienced is the time difference. A majority of our volunteers work during the day and it is difficult to get a meeting with all of us on together.

Pros

It is extremely user friendly and designed with those who are not tech savvy to be able to use the software. It has allowed our organization to become more organized and has made it easier to assure that out donors have been thanked in a timely manner.

Cons

I personally have not had an issues with the software itself thus far.

Pros

The overall design is intuitive and easy to use. The support team is also well versed in the software and attentive to the needs of non-profits. We have been pleased from Day 1.

Cons

In 2022 some functions were added, or changed which impacted both the cost and how we used some portions of the platform.

Very positive.

Pros

I can't limit my review to just the software. I would rate myself as good, but not great, when it comes to using any kind of software that is new to me. I get confused easily. NFG software is relatively simple, but when I do get confused, the best thing about it is, I have real people who are there and willing to help me. Real people who are patient and kind, and take the time to get to know what I need. NFG has simplified my life in running our small but mighty non-profit SolarCITIES.Solutions, and we have increased our donations in less than 2 years by over 1000%! We needed simplicity. Our donors needed simplicity. That's what we got with NFG.

Cons

There are some things that I would like to manipulate differently in the fundraising pages. Perhaps wording on presets.

Pros

I like the event module. It makes keeping track of quests pretty easy without needing to also track in an Excel file. It is easy to get your query results into Excel.

Cons

I find that many things in Donor Pro are hidden or just not intuitive. There is not a lot of help once you get past the basic training. Here is a direct quote from Tech Support: "I encourage you to experiment with this tool. It is a little "hidden," so I am not surprised that you were not aware of it." I am disappointed that many query fields are only available with certain queries (donation versus constituent), so if you are looking for two different pieces of information, you need to run a query, save your results, and then run another query just to get basic information. I am also frustrated that there is no "key" to decode query fields. There is no way to know the difference between First Gift and First Gift Ever if you don't ask. I have also found fields in canned reports that have no explanation of what they are pulling.

It is a challenge and you have to put a ticket in for every problem. We are a small organization and wanted a simple program. This is a full time position.

Pros

Price, online data is transferred to the CRM. The Engage and CRM merge. We were able to get rid of Event Brite. We can all access the CRM and use it at one time. This is helpful.

Cons

Transfer of data was a problem. We would up with over 10,000 duplicates and it is taking us forever to delete them. Also the user experience was poor. Our constituents say it is too complicated. Membership is a challenge.

Overall, it’s okay. I’m committed to you bc if my donors have established accounts. My organization contributes a lot of money via the money we raise and so I need monthly fees reduced based on donor fees. It’s has become an expensive platform

Pros

Ability to track donors; make it easy for donors to give.

Cons

Manipulating the site to get info or move donor info around. Lots duo donors so donor are still confused as to getting to their initial acct. Communication are crappy. Still use an outside email marketing platform and Eventbrite for events.

Actual interactions with staff either by electronically (message bubble) or by phone have been excellent. As treasurer and chief fundraiser for our small organization that operated for 10 years under host organizations and just just recently got its IRS tax exempt status I am very pleased we chose NFG to work with and would recommend it to others.

Pros

I do like the easy access to some much info on our contacts. Actual interactions with staff either by electronically (message bubble) or by phone have been excellent. I can download it easilyto excel easily to do further planning and analysis. The distinction between the sections for donor management and fundraising is very clear and make it easy for the new user organization.

Cons

I tried to get started without reading enough of the information from the knowledge base and so had to correct items or just be frustrated for awhile. Could be a check off list for new users to print or keep in line that are top dozen actions that help new users and that would stress using the knowledge base and getting your computer set up for the webinars. I have missed two webinars because I wasn't set up far enough in advance. The ready talk help was good sometimes and an endless loop of written tips another time. Vimeo is its own challenge. I do like the easy access to some much info on our contacts.

Pros

Network for Good is super user friendly. The personal fundraising coach feature is probably my favorite! I don't come with a background in fundraising, so she has been a God-send. Pulling reports is easy and helpful for my Executive Director and board to see. I'm also thankful for the mass communication functions offered.

Cons

Now that I know how to create filters, it's easy, but it was originally confusing for me to understand.

We do not hesitate to recommend this software to anyone! After comparing it to some of the other software programs available we have learned two very important things. 1) It incorporates so many things that you would otherwise have to purchase multiple software programs to accomplish what Donor Pro does with just one. The result of this is a very significant savings which means everything to a non-profit. 2) No company has yet compared to their customer service team. They are always ready to hear customer feedback on what they can do to improve their software to better accomodate their customers, and they not only listen, but they actually follow through and incorporate those suggestions.

Pros

We cannot say enough positive things about Donor Pro. We are able to operate almost our entire office off of this software, and use it to accomadate the employees that work from home. It can easily be adapted to fit so many of our non-profits needs. We would be lost without it. The best thing about the company, by far, is their customer service. They always exceed our expectations. Our Director of Development has used several donor management software programs in her previous positions, and stated on many occasions none of them compared to all the features that donor pro offers. She is constantly amazed when she learns about a new feature and the ease of use. One of the things that highly impresses me is how easily you can make a request for an enhancement, and then how quickly you see it incorporated into a future upgrade.

Cons

We have been customers for almost 4 years now and still have no negative feedback to offer.

NFG Customer Service stayed on the phone with me for an hour today helping me make heads or tails out of all the mistakes our team has made when sending our monthly imported reports to NFG. What a big mess we have created for ourselves and unfortunately NFG too! It took a while for me to understand how we had made all of these mistakes. NFG customer service representative was patient, respectful and calm. We worked through it all and now I understand. It is customer service like this that makes me want to tell everyone how great NFG is!!!

Pros

What I like most is easy to navigate

I do not have any dislikes.

Overall, very good. Much easier to use than most comparable products. Intuitive and well laid out. Easy navigation and easy to create multiple campaigns as ways for people to give.

Pros

Really intuitive and easy to use interface. Pretty simple to jump right in and figure most things out. Integrates well with online giving to make data management seamless. SImple communication options makes it easy to track letters, emails and texts.

Cons

A few small features not really available or easy to do. Need a set field where it is simple for a donor to ask to be anonymous or be identified differently form their name, rather than having to create custom fields. Need a way to easily establish membership categories as most museums have membership as a type of giving. Need ability to "invoice" a donor to make it easier to just send out an email with a click to pay option as done in square.

We are beyond thrilled with the capabilities of Network for Good, as well as the fundraising we have been able to do with this amazing product. This product has changed the way we are able to help meet the needs and has provided so many options for fundraising. I look forward to working with Network for Good for a long time to come.

Pros

Network for Good has allowed us to evolve to a virtual fundraising platform in order to continue the great work we do.

Cons

The only problem we have encountered is with the Peer to Peer fundraising, the idea of Teams and building on them has been complicated as the software does not allow for this. We have certainly requested this to be upgraded for the future.

Reason for choosing Bonterra Network for Good

Email capability and import options were the most important for us as well as the ticketing option.

They were so patient with our org from the start, made the entire process to onboard easy, and we're already seeing a difference in time management simply by having an effective, user-friendly CRM.

Pros

My nonprofit just started to use this software last week, and we're already in heaven. Our account rep is stupendous, and they're making the transfer from our previous donor management software to this CRM platform extremely easy. The UX is stellar, its donor management capabilities are unmatched, and reporting is made super easy. I'm looking forward to learning this software more and its sister, Salsa Engage.

Cons

I haven't found any cons yet, although I'm curious to see just how smoothly their social media capabilities function.
