Pros: Easy to set up and manage with comprehensive documentation. If something hasn't been clear the support has been absolutely first class.

Cons: The only issues for a small minority of Customers have been outside osConcert and within Paypal (our method of payment). The number of these problems is small and readily resolved and are as a result of Paypal wording on their screens, the links to Paypal from osConcert work well.

Overall: Having made the decision to provide online ticketing for our annual arts festival for the first time in 30 years we needed a solution that was simple to use, both for administrators and customers and osConcert provided it.

When clarification was needed in the set up and management processes the support given was both rapid and first class.

Comments: Three to four years ago while searching online for ticketing solutions the options that were available were very limited. Choosing a solution for an entire season of concerts is a big step. osConcert was affordable but more importantly provides so much flexibility. I had very specific needs. Integration with Stripe and/or Square was necessary and it was implemented. Integration with Infusionsoft was crucial and it was implemented. The way I needed osConcert to present and deliver information as it related to infusionsoft was unique and it was implemented. osConcert and its developers are smart and understand what you want. The turnaround time is amazing and the development costs are incredibly affordable.

osConcert is like having a system customized just for us.

If you're shopping around I can't imagine you finding anything out-of-the-box with so many features let alone the level of service and support provided by osConcert.

Pros: Does everything you'd expect from an advance professional ticketing system.

Cons: Would love it if it could ticket using a Boca Printer. I haven't check the latest update, this may already be and option.

Overall: Always fast and reliable support. Hands down the best best ticketing system for anyone who wants to retain total control of all aspects of online and offline ticket sales. I highly recommend this product to anyone serious about selling event tickets.

Comments: We have been using osConcert now for 3 years and have been very satisfied with it. Support has been prompt and effective - any of our problems have typically been resolved within 48 hours. A very worthwhile investment for our theatre company.

Comments: We use this software solution over 2,5 years. And it works great! Different locations, different seat plans. No problems. And if a problem occurs the support by customer support is unbelievable great and fast. Almost all special wishes were fulfilled.
The backend is a little bit "old-fashioned" and not always intuitive. But that is a minor flaw with regard to what you get.

Comments: I've used osConcert for a couple of non-profit organizations that I support over the past few years and I could not be happier with the osConcert product and support that Gordon provides. The application is built on a re-purposed osCommerce foundation, so it is easy to troubleshoot and extend, if necessary. The product is very complete, without additional modules required, and is well-documented. It was the perfect solution for the events we support and we have recently moved to electronic ticketing, which worked great! I STRONGLY recommend osConcert.

Comments: I am using OsConcert on many ticketing sites. It is a great product that comes at a reasonable price tag. I like the fact that it supports seated and general admission solutions. The software is stable without any bugs.
It take some time to master the back-end at first , but when that is done you will find it easy to manage.
Some people can find the reporting a bit limited - but the basics are definitely covered. Allover a GREAT product !
Brilliant customer support outweighs any negative aspects there may be. Gordon is always on call when you need him to help.

Pros: Ease of use and excellent customer service.

Overall: We have been using OS Concert seat reservation software for over five years and it has been a tremendous source of income for our small theater. Before OS Concert installs, we were bogged down with phone calls regarding show tickets but since the software install, 80% of our ticket sales are no purchased online using OS Concert.
Over the years, we ran into a few anomalies utilizing OS Concert but Customer Service was returning emails within a couple of hours with solutions for the problems. Indeed, Customer Service is a dying breed and very important to us and I give 100% points to CS team for making our lives easier. They're there for us during transfer of hosting services and upgrades to the software. I highly recommend OS Concert.

Comments: Some time ago (years) I was looking for our theater company a reservation software which on the one hand easy to use and otherwise affordable for a small association with a small Budget.

With the software of osConcert we have found what we wanted. Easy-to-understand Websites content which is easy to use for all users.
If I had times setup problems or misunderstand something, I was quickly supported by Gordon Farmer over the administrative surface or with SQL commands which I could enter myself.

If anyone or some organization looks for a reservations solution.
My tip: osConcert is the best software ever.

Cons: You have to be prepared to edit the seating plan, but this is very easy to do.

Overall: We contacted OS Concert after a recommendation. Our rep provided us with exactly what we needed in terms of software and support as a small charity with a limited budget. I would thoroughly recommend both him and the software he provides. We would not have managed to do online ticketing with a seating plan at the cost he did with other suppliers. His support is also exceptional.

Comments: I've been a very happy osConcert user for several years. For me, the software has been stable, flexible and my online customers can easily select, book, and pay for their seats.

Personally I prefer to host and maintain my own web platforms, and I'd tried at least two other open source ticketing systems before finding osConcert.

osConcert ticks all the boxes for me in that it supports the open source community, it is adaptable to the look and feel of my website, support is fast and helpful, and my customers have an enjoyable interactive experience while booking.

I highly recommend osConcert to anyone, especially those who prefer to host their own systems.

Comments: We are organizing concerts and cultural events that often require Reserved and General admission ticketing options, often with customized seat-plan layouts that have various categories such as VIP, Student etc of course with respective prices for both large and small events. osConcert offers all these and many many other options to customize your e-tickets and other administrative ticketing tasks.

Pro's; A low-cost, professional looking and working ticketing software application that once it is set up (which may take a few emails to customer support) is easy to use and to maintain. The customer support offered by Gordon is excellent; always responsive and constructive.

Con's: It takes a bit of time to become familiar with the backend dashboard settings. The documentation is in need of a review ;-).

We highly recommend osConcert.

Pros: Configurability

Cons: The system is obviously repurposed from an earlier system. The back-end usability is a bit complex, and requires a reasonable level of technical expertise that is typically not found in a school like ours. It is definitely not for everyone.

Overall: We are a K-12 private school in Texas with about 700 students. This will be our 5th year using osConcert to sell reserved seating at our school theater productions.

osConcert may be the best value in hosted reserved seat ticketing systems on the market today. It takes a bit of effort to get up and running the first time, however each subsequent production is a relatively straightforward process.

The osConcert Support Team is off-shore (from the U.S.), yet we have found them to be very responsive and supportive whenever we call on them to help us through even the most complex issues.

If you have the expertise in-house to run a hosted system in a LAMP environment, then osConcert may be an excellent in-house ticketing solution.

Pros: Seat selection tools for customers, wide selection of payment options, responsive support.

Overall: We have been using osConcert for five years, and have had no reason to switch. The system works well in browsers on all devices, and there are regular feature improvements. Our patrons love the ability to select their own seats, pick appropriate discounts, and pay in their preferred method. There is a cost for some of the upgrades over the years, but it is minimal. The upgrade and support costs are well worth the ability to control your own box office site without paying a per-ticket fee.

Recommendations to other buyers: We did a lot of research, and we check again almost annually, but this system is the best on the market if you need reserved seat selection and don't want to pay a commission per ticket.

Overall: This box office software is exactly what we needed. There are many "free" services, but all of them "pass along additional costs" to our users. For a small fee and an old computer, we have been able to set up a really great online box office. It is perfect for our school community. The support has been wonderful, too! Give it a try!

Pros: The seating plan look and the simple selection of exactly the seats you want.

Cons: The ticket printing facility

Overall: I have been using the osconcert ticketing software for a little over 3 years now and believe it is excellent value for money and backed up with almost immediate customer support. I have talked to many of our customers and have received many positive comments. The seating plan set up and look is the first thing that attracts people and it is easy to use for the average computer user. It is also easy to set up for a booking agent who can then sell hard copy tickets directly to the public. If I have one small negative comment it is the ticket printing which many people seem to struggle with so perhaps this could be looked at in the future. All of the background information storage is easy to access and making changes to the seating and editing is simple. The customer support from Gordon has been exceptional from the early days of my learning about the software right up to today and email responses are very quick when a problem needs to be solved.
Finally I would like to say I highly recommend osconcert to all businesses looking for value for money ticketing software.

Pros: Lots of great features: Ability to do General Admission and/or Reserved Seating, also add a service fee, CMS to add extra pages, customize ticket image, QR code or barcodes, exporting of sales list, etc.

Cons: Responsive pages and checkout steps could be done better or upgraded for better mobile device usability.

Overall: Been using this product for several years now on dozens of events. Once you've figured out everything in the back-end it works great. Would like some upgrades on the responsive pages but other than that we will keep using.

Overall: We've used osconcert for a number of years now so we can sell individual seats for our festival concerts on our own website. Most of our sales are now online via the system and we also use it to generate tickets for our telephone sales. It has its foibles, like all systems, but it has proved dependable and the free support and inexpensive upgrades from Gordon have been great.

Recommendations to other buyers: Need some basic knowledge/confidence to install but help available via email and online guides

Pros: Great seating charts and easy navigation for customers

Cons: Backend is complex and can be time consuming to find the area you need to adjust, but regularly used features are very straight forward and it has a decent searchable manual.

Overall: The software takes a little bit to get setup, but once all is in place you have a great ticketing site that is very visual for the customer and makes even the smallest venue look professional. Setup costs are very low and we have only had minimal upgrade charges when our seating charts changed or big enhancements to the product. No service fees so we save thousands each year over other services and the customer service has always been spot on and eager to help us.

Recommendations to other buyers: Make sure you fill in your DATE IDS for all shows and events/products since this is the field used to fun reports and such. Makes it much easier to get useful information back on attendance.

Comments: I have used osConcert for many years for a small community theatre group. It is simple to set up (as long as you are comfortable installing and configuring a CMS). The documentation is easy to follow and comprehensive. Customizing the installation is also pretty straightforward, and the customer service is great.

The software can handle a wide range of ticketing options (seat price bands, concession prices, group purchases, vouchers, complimentary tickets, special offers), the usual payment types (paypal, pay at the door etc), and self-printing tickets.

We have occasional problems with paypal payments dropping out, but this seems to be due to specific combinations of user device-and-browser, browser configuration, or users not following the instructions. In these cases, it is easy to manually over-ride the booking process once payment has been confirmed.

In summary: very flexible, reasonably easy to install and set up, great customer service, good value for money

Recommendation: If you are looking for a flexible ticketing option where you control the installation on your own server, this is one of the options you should consider.

Comments: Our company organizes concerts and events. We needed a more advanced ticketing platform that kept track of inventory, sent customers e-tickets, and could integrate with a ticket scanning service. On top of that I needed design customization to make the platform look like its part of my existing website. In addition, I did we did not have a large budget for this project, so we were looking at a product that was reasonable priced.

OsConcert was a great solution. The design was customized to look like my existing website. The database integration and installation was very straightforward and quick. The product does everything that's expected, and the support is great. Would highly recommend it.

Pros: Simple and easy to use for both management and clients. Incredibly good value and great customer support.

Cons: There are a few limitations as to the way that you can extract data for management purposes.

Overall: Most importantly our clients have found this an easy platform to book their tickets via, as the booking process is kept as simple of possible with clear instructions. Map of seating is clear and well designed. As an end user once you are familiar with the package it is straight forward to use. It does have some limitations to the way data can be extracted and managed. Fantastic and quick customer support with regards to any issues or questions that we have had. The service is incredibly good value for money which was important for us as we are running a charity event and has enabled us to be in control of our own bookings without using a third party agency and additional expenditure. Highly recommended.

Well worth the time and money.

Comments: Having used OSConcert in and off over the last few years I cannot recommend this cloud based software highly enough. Whenever I had a problem they help out, designing new floor plans or resetting settings etc... you will not be disappointed with what this can do and the customer service delivered.
