One of the most attractive features is that the system generates etickets in PDF that can be printed by the customer automatically, also has the option to include QR codes for digital reading.

Pros

The most important feature is its easy installation and configuration, since it allows installing our own server platform. Thus we have control of the entire system to manage events.

Cons

The biggest advantage is that we can customize all its interface and support can help us after the purchase to perform the updates.

I really think this is the best event ticketing platform out there and I can't say enough about how good their customer support is.

Pros

Most importantly, customer service is next to none and very responsive. I have posed so many questions during and after implementation and they have all been answered with so much patience. The features of this product are incredible. Every permutation of online ticket sales has been thought of.

Cons

The layout is not as intuitive as other platforms I have used, but the other platforms could not do what osConcert does.

Customers can choose, pay for and print their own tickets whenever they like, providing convenience for them and reducing administration for us. Attractive customised seat plan, self-hosted software with no booking fees.

Pros

Attractive customised seat plans, no commission on sales (apart from PayPal), cheap and well supported. When we started using it a few years ago, it was pretty much the only show in town if you wanted to offer allocated seating from a self-hosted solution to keep everything in-house and avoid booking fees on every sale (hundreds of pounds a year for us).

Cons

Problems with OS compatibility (Ubuntu 16.04), occasional failed transactions and lack of CMS integration caused a lot of administrator work. If you want it to blend with the rest of your site you have to create a whole new theme for it and keep the menus in sync. If the OS is updated, in our case because PHP5.6 support was ending, be prepared for a lot of pain. We used osConcert very successfully for a few years but ultimately we were forced to choose between rolling back to an earlier operating system or changing our ticketing system, and we went to StageShowGold instead. The occasional failed transactions were probably PayPal's fault, Stripe seems more reliable but wasn't supported by osConcert at the time. The system doesn't work very well on a mobile screen, nor is it accessible to disabled people. This is very unfortunate, but I don't know any alternative system that achieves either of these - it's hard to show a big seat plan on a small screen without lots of panning and zooming and avoiding javascript is difficult.

Pretty good. You pay a one-time fee to purchase the software and then have total control of your ticketing experience as apposed to being held to the whims of a ticketing agency which charges a fee per ticket

Pros

The fact that we have control of our money, it isn't held by a ticketing agency until the end of the show. Gordon is very responsive to any questions we have had.

Cons

Nothing major. There are some minor quibbles but you get that with any software, nothing is perfect.

Pros

This software convinced me from the start. The friendly support always helps with problems. It was important to me to get software that I can fully adapt to my needs. The software looks and works professionally. It's nice to see what you get for "little money". There are no hidden costs or commissions. Everything is easy to understand. Also usable for users with little admin experience. As with any software, you have to read certain things, understand them and then implement them in a targeted manner. clear recommendation to buy

Some training is necessary in certain areas. The installation of other language files requires knowledge and patience everything can be learned and implemented! support always helps 100% quick and friendly

osConcert provides a complete solution for customers to reserve and pay for e.g. theatre seats. Because it has evolved over a number of years, there is a wide range of options e.g. reserved/general seating, payment methods, sales via website or box office agents, various ticket options and also many detailed configurable options. Seat plans for different seating layouts can easily be produced. The procedure for getting started with osConcert is to agree a level of support with \[sensitive content hidden\] to set up the system to meet your needs so that you can subsequently manage your events and ticket sales. Although there is a lot of help documentation available, there are a lot of options some of which will require help and explanation.

Pros

We are a small community theatre. osConcert gives a professional appearance to the customer and supports all our practical administration needs. The one-off fee allows us to keep our prices low and not pay additional commission on sales.

Cons

There is an extensive range of options and these are sometimes difficult to find in the Admin interface. However \[sensitive content hidden\] responds very quickly and fully with help.

It is not very user friendly and required a fair amount of IT time to get it started and then to maintain it. The learning curve is pretty large. If you are proficient in PhP, then you'll do fine. The sql relationship chart is unavailable and the number of tables in astounding, so sql solutions are a pain.

Pros

Inexpensive php and sql installs as separate folder on your server The author, is pretty helpful for support.

Cons

Customers seem to have some difficulty with it. Its restricted in its interface with who and how you can connect and handshake with your processor. Works well with PayPal, problems with authorize.net, unable to connect to other processors.

Pros

Ease of use of the product is what makes the product so great. Customers get a tailored experience and expectation of exactly where they are going to sit during the performance. Admin is fairly easy to use once you get used to how it is organized. This is a full solution from sales, coupons, notification and integrations with our payment gateway. Gordon has been very responsive and helped us with the layout and even integrating the payement gateway that we used. Each event has gone smoother than it has in the past with other solutions that we have used. osConcert has removed a big headache that we had and I am very glad that we went with this ticketing solution

Cons

The only cons that I have are associated with the admin. some options are buried and sometimes a little difficult to find. But the developer has been very responsive and helping out with advice where needed.

Some friends of mine run a community theatre and have always hand mailed tickets or had people have to pick them up. I suggested they try an online booking software and found osConcert on Google. Using this has definitely brought their attendance numbers up, I think from being able to print out tickets straight to their phones

Pros

I was surprised as to how easy this was to set up and get up and running on everyone's computers and phones! I love how easy it is for people to pick their seat and either print out a physical ticket or use an E-Ticket. Their customer support is amazing! They have had speedy replies and have done their best to answer all my questions and help with my issues!

Cons

I wish I was able to integrate this into my website with a more clean look. At the moment I have a link going to an external site, which really isn't all that big of a deal but would be nice to be able to customize the look a bit more.

I have used osConcert for many years for a small community theatre group. It is simple to set up (as long as you are comfortable installing and configuring a CMS). The documentation is easy to follow and comprehensive. Customizing the installation is also pretty straightforward, and the customer service is great. The software can handle a wide range of ticketing options (seat price bands, concession prices, group purchases, vouchers, complimentary tickets, special offers), the usual payment types (paypal, pay at the door etc), and self-printing tickets. We have occasional problems with paypal payments dropping out, but this seems to be due to specific combinations of user device-and-browser, browser configuration, or users not following the instructions. In these cases, it is easy to manually over-ride the booking process once payment has been confirmed. In summary: very flexible, reasonably easy to install and set up, great customer service, good value for money Recommendation: If you are looking for a flexible ticketing option where you control the installation on your own server, this is one of the options you should consider.

We are organizing concerts and cultural events that often require Reserved and General admission ticketing options, often with customized seat-plan layouts that have various categories such as VIP, Student etc of course with respective prices for both large and small events. osConcert offers all these and many many other options to customize your e-tickets and other administrative ticketing tasks. Pro's; A low-cost, professional looking and working ticketing software application that once it is set up (which may take a few emails to customer support) is easy to use and to maintain. The customer support offered by Gordon is excellent; always responsive and constructive. Con's: It takes a bit of time to become familiar with the backend dashboard settings. The documentation is in need of a review ;-). We highly recommend osConcert.

Our company organizes concerts and events. We needed a more advanced ticketing platform that kept track of inventory, sent customers e-tickets, and could integrate with a ticket scanning service. On top of that I needed design customization to make the platform look like its part of my existing website. In addition, I did we did not have a large budget for this project, so we were looking at a product that was reasonable priced. OsConcert was a great solution. The design was customized to look like my existing website. The database integration and installation was very straightforward and quick. The product does everything that's expected, and the support is great. Would highly recommend it.

This box office software is exactly what we needed. There are many "free" services, but all of them "pass along additional costs" to our users. For a small fee and an old computer, we have been able to set up a really great online box office. It is perfect for our school community. The support has been wonderful, too! Give it a try!

I am using OsConcert on many ticketing sites. It is a great product that comes at a reasonable price tag. I like the fact that it supports seated and general admission solutions. The software is stable without any bugs. It take some time to master the back-end at first , but when that is done you will find it easy to manage. Some people can find the reporting a bit limited - but the basics are definitely covered. Allover a GREAT product ! Brilliant customer support outweighs any negative aspects there may be. Gordon is always on call when you need him to help.

We use it to sell tickets on on website.

Pros

If you want to maximize the amount of ticket revenue there is no cheaper option than osConcert. The only fees are the annual fee for software upgrade and support. If you go with PayPal you only pay their fees for purchases. Same with Stripe. Stripe is very easy to use with this. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] has also been very helpful when something goes wrong or even setting up. With each upgrade the software has gotten better and better. It looks very professional.

Cons

Though the report generation options have gotten better there are still some bugs and limitations. However I have not had much difficulty sorting out the minor quirks. I also am able to edit the code myself when I need something in particular. PayPal interactions could be better but that is mostly a difficulty with PayPal constantly changing their interface defaults (Stripe works perfectly). I think you need a bit of web technical savvy to comfortably use your own ticket selling software (but osConcert is one of the easiest -- I have tried several others). If you know nothing you should probably go with one of the dedicated ticket selling providers (Ticketmaster, etc)

Reason for choosing osConcert

osConcert was the cheapest overall. We didn't like the per ticket fees on top of CC fees.

### "Second to NONE product and service"

The ability to have a custom map of our venue laid out to near scale and every individual space showing size and cost was amazing and we are also able to have it for each of the monthly markets we hold so customers can buy for the entire year. When I first found osConcert it was designed for other industries. I wrote to the CEO and explained what I wanted the software to be able to do and asked if he could customize it to meet my needs. I'm sure at first he had to think I was crazy but he did consent to do the job. We agreed on a fee to do the amount of customization I wanted. We also had an implementation plan and schedule made so we both knew where we needed to be all along the way. He worked we me and the members of my team to make the product what we wanted and needed. On the occasions when we had an issue (Seldom after going live and none the fault of the program always something we did we were not suppose to and once from a good hacker) The owner worked faster than fast to get the situation resolved and us back up. There are a lot of hours difference in our time-zones and I know there were times he had to give up sleep to meet our needs and he always did. While we are not his ONLY client he has always treated us like we were the only one with 100% undivided attention. I've dealt with a lot of providers of software over the last 30 years and he and his product are at the top of the list. Give it a try you will be glad you did

Pros

Being able to customize the product for my special needs. Being a Flea Market there was only one other product on the market allowing online reservations for vendor spots but nothing like I wanted. The simplicity of use for the customer and the administrative side together make a perfect customer experience.

Cons

The many options. This software can do so many more things than I ever dreamed of using it is hard to not over do it. I only wish I could implement 1/10 the power of the software

Pros

The program has an excellent value for money, making it perfect for NGOs organizing art events. Flexible in configuration, it allows customization to specific requirements (we use it in the version for 2 languages and 2 currencies). The author is very helpful. Good documentation and extensive FAQ. The new option to create audience plans yourself looks very promising.

Cons

Old-fashioned backend. Some configuration options are sometimes hard to find.

Great for us for 4 years! Parts of it became broken which didn't affect the operation...but for example running reports often failed due to memory errors that I could never resolve even when forcing PHP memory values.
