They wanted some affordable solution. I tried some options and recommended GstarCAD and ZWCAD. They are happy eversince they switched to GstarCAD.It offers peace of mind knowing that you wont have to pay subscription every month or year.Users do not have any complaints. InFact most files are faster that in previous CAD software Pros 1\. Familiar Interface2. Native handling of DWG files.3. Light of system resources4. Faster working in DWG files5. Does not clutter files. I even cleanup external DWG files with GstarCAD Cons 1\. There are screen flicker issues ever 1-2 minutes or during some heavy processing.2. Some features are missing like advance VP layer functions3. Lacks of innovation4. No customer support of issues like mentioned above for graphic flickering. For a small business that doesnt primary work in CAD but sometimes needs to access DWG files - GstarCAD is a solid option. Pros Offers most of the options of AutoCAD. Better than FreeCAD and other free alternative because the other software didn't open all of the files for me - Gstar did. Single non-expiring licence instead of nowadays commons subscription plan. Cons I've had some files that unfortunately were not opened by GstarCad but were finally opened in AutoCad. It doesn't seem like common problem but was deciding factor not to purchase GstarCad.
