Use of CozyRoc has easily saved 500+ hours of my time once the SSIS packages have been created to be dynamic. Pros Been using the SSIS plug-ins for Visual Studio for many years now. CozyRoc provides functionality that is very helpful that Microsoft/SSIS do not natively provide. In particular, very fond of the Data Flow Task Plus block, allowing for Dynamic Mapping of column names at runtime. Cons Setup of some of the advanced/dynamic workings are not always intuitive, but their online help and tech support are very good at helping get over those hurdles. When we have hit problems, they have been very supportive. They have even written custom connections to systems that could form the foundation for business critical integrations. Pros Our key driver for using CozyRoc is it's ability to connect to APIs. We have various cloud applications that only allow data access via API. Cozyroc has enabled us to extract data from them and populate our datawarehouse. We are now also using it to develop our own custom configurations between different cloud systems. Cons It's not always easy to understand (or find guides) on the code syntax used by CozyRoc. Building a custom connection to an API can be tricky. Interpreting a system vendors API documentation and then translating to how CozyRoc passes information (particularly authentication) can be challenging. Review Source GL Gabriele L. I started connecting SSIS to NetSuite in 2007 using vb.net code. Once I found CozyRoc it became a key component. I've done crud against almost every entity in NetSuite. I can write CRUD with CozyRoc at least 50% faster than writing vb.net code. Pros The NetSuite source and destination components are easy to understand. The SearchXML feature is a great way to filter the SOAP call. (it is easy to build and easy to read) Cons When writing transactions, one has to separate the transaction lines with an empty row. CozyRoc provides the Query component to automatically setup the empty rows. It is an extra step that other connectors don't have. That said, it is not a big deal. It does not impact performance, so it is almost not worth mentioning. Reason for choosing CozyRoc SSIS+ Components Suite All of the connectors have their own quirks and behaviors. I liked CozyRocs the best. In addition, the SOAP CozyRoc generates on updates is as "skinny" as it can be for efficiency. The support group at CozyRoc is really great to work with. November 4, 2019 5.0 The company I work with has fairly strict auditing requirements for their data, which are being met by uploading the data from Google sheets and Excel to SQL Server. CozyRoc's SSIS tools have made that process reliable and trustworthy. Pros I've used CozyRoc's SSIS tools for over a year to import and export data between Excel files, SQL Server databases and Google Sheets. These tools have made it possible to accomplish complex data migration tasks with only modest effort thanks to the intuitive user interface. Whenever I've been stuck on a "How do I . . ." question and asked for assistance, I've always received prompt guidance every step of the way. I highly recommend CozyRoc's products and the company itself. Cons As a developer, one of my first rules is to read the documentation if I have a question or don't understand something. But there isn't really anything like a 'user guide' or online help for CozyRoc. Thankfully, I've received great answers through email and the support form when needed. The installation process was very easy. There were issues when connecting to Oracle, and CozyRoc Customer Service was great in helping resolve our issues. Turns out the issues were on our side regarding the Oracle Client Software. But, CozyRoc Customer Service helped us research our issues and was able to get us going. I cannot say how appreciative we were with Customer Service. Pros The various available data sources CozyRoc offered was the major selling point. Along with the data sources, other Control Flow/Data Flow task components were included. Our current major issue with SSIS was the loading of Databases. With CozyRoc's database destination component, our performance increased over 80%. The product was very easy to install and incorporate into our Visual Studio environment. We were up and testing within minutes. Cons The one thing we noticed which is a concern is the lack of Azure components. However, we are not sure at this time if Azure Cloud is an option, therefore with the ease of use we decided to go with CozyRoc. January 5, 2021 5.0 I've always been pleased with how easy this product is to use. I'd recommend it to any DBA that wants to spend less time worrying about SSIS task implementation. Pros There are many tasks that can be accomplished with the native features of SQL Server Integration Services, but they are not always easy or straightforward. With SSIS+, these tasks can be implemented far more quickly, without need for additional research and testing effort. Need to easily connect to FTP sites, manipulate files, etc? Give this product a try, you won't be disappointed! Cons The only "con" here is that you're installing something that might need to be reviewed by an auditing team, as it is something outside of the Microsoft arena. And there's a cost, but you can't expect to get quality software like this without a price, and the cost is minimal by comparison to others, and also in terms of the amount of time (time is money!) one would spend doing all of this manually! It is built in to at least 50% of our SSIS jobs - We wouldn't be able to get by without it! But just as important as the functionality is the support that the team provides - They have answered every question I have ever submitted, quickly and friendly. Sometimes they are so quick to respond, I think they are just sitting there waiting for my email! I HIGHLY recommend CozyRoc! Cons Not much to say here. It has accomplished all of our needs. I am also using TaskFactory, ZappySys, and I like CozyRoc the most. The SSIS+ Suites have many real useful features. I can see the development team put much thought to components that make it fit to a real life workflow. The support is also very impressive me. I always get very quick responses from \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\]. He's very knowledgeable. More than just answer my questions, he works to understand my real needs and come up with solutions for me. The tools and the support make SSIS+ suite quite useful for us. Cons There is a learning curve but not much. I recommend to reaching support team so they can help you successfully implement the solution. Some features are a bit hidden but quite useful such as the File Stream one. Reason for choosing CozyRoc SSIS+ Components Suite SSIS+ better fit my workflows, and CozyRoc support is awesome. Pros What drew me to the product was the EDI source/destination task. Now I didn't need to rely on a 3rd party vendor for what was a simple B2B transaction. However, I've used several of the tasks and each have improved my solutions. Cons The pricing was a bit steep to propose to my management, however, way less expensive than the alternative given we have in-house software/solution development. At a great price, CozyRoc allows us to use components without distracting our developers so they can focus on customer needs. CozyRoc fills in the gaps and head-scratching issues that Microsoft has left behind. For instance, importing Excel using MS drivers will often result in loss of data on columns that have both numbers and text. CozyRoc addresses and solves this problem head on in its tasks where you actually have the ability to define your own metadata. This helped the organization to encrypt data . Pros There are many tasks that replace the standard tasks that come with SSIS. These tasks will help you from doing a lot of coding and scripting. Forget about the extra steps to create an Excel file and write to it: Cozyroc Excel Task is a one step: create and write an Excel file - SharePoint connector is flexible even to stablish MFA enable connections - The Parallel Loop Task is one of my favorites because allows to create multiple destination files at once cutting the package execution time. - File transfer Task is also a winner.
