The Dataflow plus task is a great way to design one package which can handle many different similar data flows without all the trouble of BIML Cons For some of SQL server / SSDT releases, CozyRoc can sometimes be a few months behind with corresponding supporting libraries. Support was key and they are very responsive. Cons No extensive documentation available for its connectors. Does take some time to get familiarized with each connector and ways to integrate them. Without the dependability of the SSIS+ components, we just couldn't accomplish our systems integration goals. Pros Just wanted to mention how great these SSIS+ components are. I’ve been depending on them for years in my production environment. I’ve saved countless hours of bespoke, ad-hoc programming by using the SSIS+ CozyRoc components instead. Thanks for a truly enterprise-class set of tools! Cons While the components include the usual designers and are pretty straightforward, I'd like to have better documentation. However, if you have to contact them ('they' might be just one guy, Ivan), be prepared for very limited help and a condescending attitude. I ran into the same problem on two separate occasions, about 1 year apart, so don't think it's isolated. Most recently, a simple request for help to renew licensing was met with this answer: I would recommend you ask your question regarding the licenses you have to the person responsible for maintaining your licenses. When I replied that I am that person and needed help, this was his reply: How is possible you are the person responsible and you are not aware ? Seriously? This is how you treat your customers when they are trying to pay for a renewal? Unbelievable. Pros Does what we need and seems to work well. Cons They need a serious makeover with their customer support. Doing business with a company should be a good experience, not an exercise in futility and belittlement. They've helped us several times, now we have a fully automated API working with the first projext. About to start on other projects... Added extras such as the email and Excel tasks make it an excellent product. Great value for money. November 14, 2017 5.0 Cozyroc allowed me to perform tasks I needed to do without needing a programmer. Any ETL designer can now do so much more than with the basic tasks provided by Microsoft. I've been able to automate so many more tedious tasks that were previously performed by human beings. Pros It extends SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) by adding tasks Microsoft hasn't, such as PGP encryption, SFTP, etc. It allows me to complete tasks in ETL that I previously relied on a programmer to write. When I've gotten stuck and Google was no help, I just emailed them and they provided great assistance. Cons There is not a lot of detailed documentation of errors or specific examples of how to use each task. Review Source DW Daniel W. This was well received and justified the purchase of the tools. Pros the tools are easy to use and have a short learning curve. The real benefit is the support. I have never had such a fast turnaround and willingness to assist with any product. Cons I wish the license would allow for development, test and production installations. I've heard some companies have entire departments that work out the EDI parsing for different teams. Thi Pros Easy to setup licensing, great customer service Cons Was a little hard to read through all the details of moving license from one server to another. But I did and was glad all the info was there. Reason for choosing CozyRoc SSIS+ Components Suite EDI parsing can be alot of work. This component makes monthly data imports a breeze! Software Developer Health, Wellness and Fitness Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Dynamics CRM - Source @ Destination Components Worked Well After Fine-Tuning" October 21, 2019 4.0 We needed to use SSIS for ETL between one of our SQL Server databases and a Microsoft Dynamics CRM instance. The components provided by CozyRoc work well, but we did have a couple of hiccups. The software conflicted with my version of Visual Studio upon installation and caused some problems there. Then we had issues getting the Delete functionality to work between our server and the Dynamics CRM instance, but I think the problem there is with Dynamics and not CozyRoc. The CozyRoc tech was extremely helpful and dedicated as he tracked down the problem to a mapping issue and solved the problem. Good overall experience. Pros The tech support was the best. We had some problems getting the component to work with Dynamics 365 CRM, but the tech got back to me quickly and spent a lot of time to finally get to the bottom of our problem and solve the issue. Cons We had an issue installing CozyRoc where there was a conflict and we had to reinstall VS 2015 and SQL Server Management Studio on my machine. Review Source MH Michael H. The documentation could use a little more in the way of providing more use cases of the product, but the tech support was very patient and helpful. It looks like it could be a win-win for us, and allow us to consolidate and remove some of the other third party tools we use for SSIS and ETL.
