### "Zoho Assist trial has convinced me why so many IT solopreneurs use it "

July 25, 2026

5.0

Evaluating Zoho Assist as a potential economical alternative to TeamViewer (I'm a former TeamViewer subscriber). I've moved to part-time employment as I 'ease into' retirement and continue to provide support and knowledge transfer for the engineer hired to backfill my role. Evaluating tools to support my desire to support non-profit and small business clients as a solopreneur to keep my brain active (and keep me from driving my family nuts in retirement). Had first considered AnyDesk, but discovered that their pricing now approaches that of TeamViewer. While providing similar features and functionality, Zoho Assist clearly wins the value-for-money analysis among the three for me and the features I value. I experienced no connection issues or bugs during my testing to date. I do need to research Zoho Assist client software update auto-deployment to fully understand the lift there.

Pros

Very pleased with the ease of use (and installation) for both technician and client. Zoho reached out to me shortly after signing up for the trial to see how it was going (appreciate the proactive approach to customer support, despite not needing to call them...yet...during my trial period). Appreciate the ability to purchase remote support subscription separate from remote access subscription, which will allow me to control costs.

Cons

While the initial installation of the Zoho Assist client is simple and straightforward, it is unclear whether software updates for clients are automatic or will require reinstallation/redeployment of the apps as new security and/or feature updates are released

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing Zoho Assist

Discovered AnyDesk is currently in the same ballpark as TeamViewer when evaluating subscription costs for the features I valued highly.

### "Zoho has the best remote access features!"

August 20, 2026

5.0

I have used Zoho for several years mostly for remote access. During that time, I have never had any major issues and anything I have needed assistance with, has been resolved promptly. Zoho has been a great tool to help me in my work.

Pros

I love that Zoho supports Multiple Monitors in remote access. It is easy to use and if I do have an issue, customer support is always prompt in resolving. I have never had any connection issues or bugs issues and their software updates are always timely. Overall, I think Zoho is a great value for the money.

Cons

Rarely do I have any issues, but when I do, ocassionally support is a small challenge to contact due to local time differences.

### "Quick to grab the $$$, way slower to fix the problems"

July 30, 2026

3.0

Meh. As long as I dealt with Zoho’s challenges, it would reliably work within those constraints. Addressing issues never happened. Connecting to the right person by phone was a kludge. Their support was 12 or more hours ahead and when they reached out, it was so far out from the problem I was having it was irrelevant. The reach out was not like for like; if I call you, don’t send a text, chat or email. Call me back. Might not match your version of support, but if I called, I wanted a resolution on the phone, not weeks after when \[sensitive content hidden\] came back from vacation

Pros

Ease of use whilst maintaining security. Talking new customers through the download process was fairly easy.

Cons

Lack of followup or availability of support from a real person. I had questions that had been open for 19 months that were NEVER addressed or attempts were made via a chat tool when I stated that I spend desk time in a vehicle, so a call is the optimal way to get me

### "Easy to Use, Reliable Remote Support Tool"

May 26, 2026

5.0

Overall, Zoho Assist provides a dependable and user-friendly remote support solution. It strikes a good balance between simplicity and functionality, making it suitable for both IT professionals and less technical users. The platform allows quick access to remote machines, supports efficient troubleshooting, and reduces the time needed to resolve issues. It has become a reliable tool for day-to-day support tasks, especially in environments where ease of access and minimal setup are key.

Pros

Zoho Assist is extremely easy to use, both for the technician and the end user. The setup process is quick, and joining a remote session is straightforward with minimal steps, which is ideal when supporting non‑technical users. The interface is clear and well organised, making it simple to navigate between sessions, file transfers, and system tools. Performance is reliable, with stable connections and good screen responsiveness. It also integrates well with other Zoho products, which helps streamline workflows.

Cons

There are very few downsides overall, but at times the interface can feel slightly basic compared to some higher-end alternatives. Some advanced features are not as intuitive to locate initially, and there can occasionally be minor latency depending on the network connection. However, these issues are relatively minor and do not impact day-to-day use.

### "Great Product!"

It has been a great product that allows me to remotely manage workstations for a business that I'm not physically at.

Pros

Easy to use and cost effective. It is probably the easiest way to log in remotely to workstations that I have found.

Cons

I guess maybe the only thing that I'm not fond of is that it's a little involved to get this set up correctly on Mac computers.

We've been using Zoho Assist for years. Never had any serious issues. Users love it and we love it as it provides a first class experience for our customers.

Pros

Zoho assist has exceptional possibilities when it comes to technicians privileges. When other software freezes during admin consent, reboot etc. Zoho Assist simply just work!

Cons

### "First time Zoho user "

August 1, 2026

4.0

My overall experience with Zoho Assist has been excellent. It made taking over remote desktops and running diagnostic tools simple and straightforward, even while I'm still building up my technical toolkit. It is reliable, easy to use, and a great value.

Pros

Zoho Assist comes packed with all the key diagnostic tools and remote control features I was looking for. As a beginner tech, I found the interface incredibly user-friendly and intuitive to navigate—it worked smoothly right out of the box without a steep learning curve.

Cons

Nothing major! Setting up unattended access has a few options to configure at first, but once you get the hang of it, everything runs very seamlessly.

### "Affordable and Reliable Remote Support Tool for Small MSPs"

February 4, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience has been positive. As someone running a small IT services business, I needed something reliable that didn’t break the budget, and Zoho Assist fits that role well. It’s easy to onboard clients, connections have been stable, and it gives me enough professional features like session recording and scripting without feeling overwhelming. It works well for both on-demand support and managing unattended systems.

Pros

Zoho Assist has been a solid remote support tool for my small MSP because it’s straightforward to deploy and doesn’t feel overly complicated like some enterprise platforms. I like that I can manage unattended devices, reboot systems remotely, and still keep sessions simple for clients who aren’t very technical. The pricing is also very reasonable compared to other tools, especially for solo technicians or smaller IT businesses trying to grow without huge overhead.

Cons

The interface can feel a little split between “Remote Support” and “Unattended Access,” which was confusing at first when trying to understand licensing and features. Some advanced automation or deeper MSP integrations require a bit of setup, and the documentation could be clearer for new users who are transitioning from other remote support tools.

Alternatives considered

[Splashtop](https://www.capterra.com/p/162972/Splashtop-Business-Access/)

Reason for choosing Zoho Assist

I also looked at Splashtop, but Zoho Assist made more sense for my business because of the pricing and flexibility for a small MSP. It gave me unattended access, session recording, and branding features without requiring a large upfront investment or complicated licensing. I liked that I could start small as a solo technician and still have room to grow into more automation and integrations later.

### "Zoho Assist, best Remote Support Application"

December 16, 2025

5.0

I am happy as it was less than half the price I was paying to Anydesk. Yes I need to guide users but it is one time process and doesn't take long.

Pros

It is very fast and dont lag. I like the unattended access part. Setup was seamless and works very fast. It also maintain log and calculate total time, every time I connect to my customers. I can setup billing based on the hours I supported customers.

Cons

Customer needs to install Zoho assistance in order to connect. Also it asks user permission, so I need to guide user over the phone. In Anydesk, it is straight forward just tell the number and done

### "A Reliable Remote Support Ally for Nearly a Decade"

August 7, 2025

5.0

I’ve been using Zoho Assist for almost 10 years, and it has been a consistently reliable tool in my remote support toolbox. Over the years, I’ve witnessed how it has steadily improved; not only in performance but also in usability and available features. It's now more practical and powerful than ever. Even when other popular tools fail, Zoho Assist has come through for me, proving to be a true lifesaver in critical moments. It’s affordable, dependable, and well-suited for both small and large-scale remote support environments. Very user-friendly: I’d say 95% of the interface is intuitive and smooth to use. Only affected when internet connection drops which in my case is due to rural network limitations, not the platform itself.

Pros

Zoho Assist is packed with useful features like file transfer, chat, audio, clipboard sharing, and excellent video quality. It works reliably even in rural areas with limited bandwidth, which is a gamechanger. The unattended access feature, once set up, is incredibly helpful for ongoing support tasks. I especially appreciate the responsiveness of their customer support and how easy it is to onboard new technicians once they are familiar with the interface.

Cons

Setting up new devices in unattended mode can be slightly confusing at first, especially when trying to organize multiple devices into teams. However, with a bit of practice, this becomes much easier and totally worth it considering the functionality it provides.

### "Effortless Unattended Access: The Perfect Tool for Seamless Client Support plus its affordable"

April 2, 2026

5.0

My experience has been excellent. I’ve used it primarily to maintain a long-term support relationship with a client, and it has saved us both a significant amount of time. Instead of coordinating schedules for a live session, I can perform updates and troubleshooting during off-hours. It’s a professional, cost-effective Value for money, and secure tool that has become a core part of my workflow.

Pros

The Unattended Access feature is a game-changer. It allows me to jump onto my client’s systems instantly without needing them to be present to accept a request. The connection is incredibly stable, and the interface is intuitive. I also appreciate the "Bulk Deployment" options and the ability to organize computers into groups, which makes managing multiple machines for a single client very efficient. Customer support is fast.

Cons

The file transfer speed can occasionally lag on lower-bandwidth connections compared to some high-end competitors, and the initial setup of the unattended agent on macOS requires a few extra security permission steps (though this is largely due to Apple’s OS restrictions).

The testing phase and purchase process was very straightforward. It was very easy to learn how to use and try out the product. The price for remote maintenance software for individual customers is much more realistic compared to other products. I can recommend it with a clear conscience.

Pros

Remote customer support is quick and easy to set up. The connection is established quickly and availability is good.

Cons

### "Reliable and Affordable Remote Support Tool for Nonprofits"

June 16, 2026

5.0

Overall, Zoho Assist has been a reliable and cost-effective remote support solution for our IT team at a nonprofit organization. It simplifies remote troubleshooting significantly, allowing us to support staff across multiple locations without needing to be on-site. The tool has saved us considerable time and resources, and I would recommend it to other IT administrators, particularly those in budget-conscious organizations looking for a capable remote access platform.

Pros

Zoho Assist has been an excellent remote support tool for our IT team. The remote access capabilities are seamless and reliable, allowing us to quickly connect to end-user machines without any complicated setup. The unattended access feature is particularly valuable for managing servers and systems after hours. It integrates well with our existing workflow, and the web-based console means technicians don't need to install heavy software. The pricing is very reasonable, especially for a nonprofit organization, and the session recording feature is great for documentation and training purposes.

Cons

Occasionally, connection stability can be inconsistent on slower networks, which can be frustrating during active support sessions. The mobile app experience could use some improvement for technicians who need to provide support on the go. Additionally, some of the more advanced reporting features are locked behind higher-tier plans, and the user interface, while functional, can feel a bit cluttered at times. Customer support response times could also be faster for non-critical issues.

### "Zoho for begginers"

May 19, 2026

4.0

Overall Verdict: A Dependable Workhorse with Exceptional Value My overall experience with Zoho Assist has been highly positive, cementing its place as a reliable, go-to tool for cloud-based remote support and unattended endpoint management. While it might not have the hyper-fluid screen-mirroring frame rates of some specialized, heavy-duty desktop applications, it more than makes up for it in sheer utility, ease of deployment, and cross-platform flexibility. For an IT professional, helpdesk agent, or managed service provider (MSP), it acts as a dependable workhorse that gets the job done without overcomplicating the workflow or draining the budget.

Pros

What I like most about Zoho Assist is its exceptional balance of simplicity and cross-platform flexibility at an incredibly competitive price point. For IT professionals, MSPs, or helpdesk teams, it strips away the bloated installation processes of legacy remote-support software, making on-demand troubleshooting entirely frictionless.

Cons

While Zoho Assist is an excellent, cost-effective tool for remote support, it isn't without its flaws. When deploying it at scale or using it for intensive troubleshooting, certain limitations and performance bottlenecks become noticeable.

### "Most amazing remote software"

May 5, 2026

5.0

Overall, the experience people report with Zoho Assist tends to land in the “solid but not perfect” category—it does its core job well, with a few trade-offs depending on your needs. The general feel: Most users describe it as reliable, simple, and cost-effective, especially for day-to-day remote support. Many IT teams say it becomes their “go-to” tool because it’s easy to deploy and works quickly once set up.

Pros

Ease of use It’s straightforward to set up and run, even for non-technical users. Starting a remote session usually just takes a link or a small download, which makes it practical for quick support situations. Unattended access A big plus is the ability to connect to devices without someone on the other end. That’s especially useful for IT teams managing servers or employee machines after hours. Cross-platform support It works across Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile devices, so you’re not locked into one ecosystem. Browser-based access You can run sessions directly from a browser without installing heavy software, which keeps things flexible and lightweight.

Cons

Performance & connection issues This is probably the biggest drawback. Users frequently mention lag, dropped sessions, or unstable connections, especially on weaker networks or across regions. Reconnecting after a drop can interrupt workflows Slower than competitors like TeamViewer in high-latency situations From Reddit, one user described “constant lag… remote screen so delayed it became unreadable.”

I've used it for years and years at my previous role. Always was reliable. Sessions connected when I needed them, file transfer worked, and I rarely had to fall back to another tool.

Pros

I like how easy it is for the user on the other end. They just click a link, run a tiny app, and we're connected. No accounts to make, no installs to fight with.

Cons

Sometimes it can be hard to get the admin stuff to work at first. The unattended access setup and permissions took a few tries before everything worked the way I wanted.

### "Efficient Remote Access for Daily Operations"

March 31, 2026

5.0

Zoho Assist has been a solid tool for my day-to-day operations. It’s helped me provide faster support, reduce downtime, and stay more responsive to clients. The ease of use and stability make it something I can depend on consistently.

Pros

Honestly, what I like most about Zoho Assist is how easy it makes everything. I can connect to a client’s computer in seconds and handle things on the spot without back-and-forth. It’s smooth, no headaches, and saves me a ton of time when I’m managing multiple dealerships.

Cons

One downside is that the end user still needs to download and run an executable to start the session, which can add an extra step and sometimes slow things down.
