Pros This software has many features and does what we need . I can keep mailing lists have have bounce back support set up mailing timings most everything that you could ask for. Cons Sometimes the software can be difficult to setup if you are not a coder or administrator Reason for choosing nuevoMailer This software has a reasonable price and does what I need but best of all is \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] the developer he is very friendly and responds quickly.I am not skilled with software and he has helped me several times with questions and upgrades etc.He is open to ideas for new features for future versions. I installed the software on my client's server, set up the SMTP mail server, installed DKIM, DMARC, SPF records, set up marketing campaigns, developed custom HTML based email templates, installed a subscribe form on my client's website, and scheduled regular campaign sends. Pros I've used Nuevo Mailer now for 6 years and like everything about it. I especially love that it is a standalone PHP-based software that I can host on my own server and that there are no limits to how many emails I can send. Panos, the creator of Nuevo mailer, is a very talented software engineer whose coding skills are top notch. He ensures that his customers always get the best options to guarantee inbox delivery of their marketing emails. His help menu is super detailed and allows even a novice to learn, understand, and successfully install the program. I've used this program for my client over the last 4 years and it helped grow her business 20% per year. I highly recommend this software! Cons Nothing. I love everything about it. There are no cons. Pros Flexibile and straightforward approach that enables endless functionalities with the best support ever. The support is so good and fast that the outcome is very nice projects done very fast with very little code. Cons Not actually a Con as this is the type of product it is. The support documentation is very technical so it you need to go through a longer learning period than usual - but then you are able to do so much more. I receive a response from the developer normally in less than 12 hours (time zone difference is the main reason for the delay), and sometimes within an hour when it is not the developer's sleeping time. I've been using nuevoMailer for over four years and I have no reason to look for an alternative program. Pros I prefer to own, host, and be able to customize an email marketing program rather than be at the mercy of a monthly contract. The installation guide was thorough and easy to follow. I've offered suggestions on features I would like and was pleasantly surprised they were implemented. Cons Some minor feature functionalities have been changed; I preferred the prior but this is minor. Switched from [ActiveCampaign](https://www.capterra.com/p/79367/ActiveCampaign/) ActiveCampaign changed from being able to host the software to a monthly fee, so I was going to leave them. Very well though-out all-in-one solution for marketers managing a huge list and sending emails out via Amazon SES. Pros The stability in handling huge mailing list sets it apart from the other self hosted EDM applications in the market. Cons The UI could use a facelift, but an acceptable trade-off considering the mature and well-developed functionality of the software. The installation was easy. The software's instructions are utterly complete, well-written and easy to follow. That alone has been really amazing. When I needed help with a technical integration issue with another software, nuevoMailer's developer was right there for me, always. NuevoMailer works better than the top-tier service we used to pay for, which periodically deleted what we'd just been working on for an hour or so! NuevoMailer, on the other hand, frequently SAVES your work, so you don't wind up wasting your time. You can make unlimited lists, unlimited campaigns. Unlimited drip sequences, special blast emails, triggered emails. You have an email editor with preloaded templates for html emails, or you can use plain text, or both. You can also use your own images and your own templates. You can create custom fields, surveys, custom email forms. You are in charge of how things are sent, when they're sent, and how many per unit of time. You can customize every single list, if you want. You have granular control over everything, including subscribes and unsubscribes, which reply email you want used for each list, etc. The amazing thing is, you buy nuevoMailer once, and then you use it unlimitedly from there on out. Brilliant product. Pros Unlimited drip emails capability. Unlimited lists. Unlimited subscribers. You choose whether single or double-optin. Sophisticated fine control on every aspect of what you're doing. CLEAR, EASY, COMPLETE instructions. Perfect English. What you need to know, stated to perfection. One low price and you're done. That's it! Cons The recent update to the software has probably already handled this, but I've sometimes had to go into the html of the email (one click on the icon in the editor and you're there) and delete some extra code that made some between-paragraph spacing irregular. (I had to do that with the other paid service I used, too.) Reason for choosing nuevoMailer The free or reasonable options I found never offered drip email capability. Writer Writing and Editing Used the software for: 2+ years ### "For Advanced and Demanding Email Marketers" May 18, 2020 5.0 I'm sending out daily emails to my four lists with nuevoMailer. It goes smoothly, fast, and with reliable deliverability. I'm a super-user and I love how flexible the software is. Also, I've used support a lot, and the creator of nuevoMailer has always been very helpful. Pros I love that you can do almost anything you want with nuevoMailer. You can add your own tags to subscribers, you can filter by them, you can combine as many lists as you want when you send emails, and many other advanced features that professional email marketers need. I also love that the code is clean. When I check my email I get a 10/10 score, because the code is valid, and I can send both clean text and HTML emails. Clean code means fewer emails that are going to spam and better reputation for the emails. With a self-hosted autoresponder I'm in full control. You can use SMTP services with nuevoMailer or your own server (with a good reputation). I use my own server, so I don't pay extra for sending emails. And my delivery is good. I rarely have bounces. Cons I love that you can do almost everything you like with nuevoMailer. That does have a price, though. You can do all kinds of filtering and a few of these are click-and-choose. If you want to do the most advanced stuff, you must know some SQL. I struggle with that, but luckily the creator of nuevoMailer has been most helpful. Review Source PB Peter B. Principal Human Resources Used the software for: 2+ years ### "nuevoMailer is a Great Value" August 10, 2021 5.0 For about two years now I have been using nuevoMailer and have found it to be very reliable, easy to use and fast. In the past, I have used several online and self-hosted platforms and nuevoMailer is by far the most cost effective way to go. For several years prior to using nuevoMailer, I used another competitive self-hosted email platform that was easily 3 times the cost of nuevoMailer and did not have all the features that this platform offers. One of the most important features that persuaded me to select nuevoMailer was its integration with Amazon AWS for sending emails through the Amazon server. To be able to send email campaigns though Amazon has proven to maximize deliverability and reliability. To me this is a huge game changer and few self-hosted platforms offer this flexibility. I would highly recommend this email software platform. Pros I like the stability and flexibility to use various email servers of my choice. Cons List management takes some time to master. It could be more intuitive. Reason for choosing nuevoMailer It was the easiest to install and maintain plus had more features than others. It accepts a complicated template with images as a zip file, doesn't change it and sends it fast, delivering good stats and delivery reports. Price is very good especially if you compare it with cloud based alternatives. Pros Self hosting lets me lower the costs significantly. I am using a custom template generation pipeline using mjml.io and easily import zip files into nuevoMailer. Thanks to a multithreaded sending I can send 2400 emails per minute on a single server. API allows for integration with the rest of the stack. Cons Setup is difficult, especially if you need to optimise for speed of the delivery, some options are not clear, and documentation is sparse. Self hosted platforms seem to be less and less popular, because setting up smtp servers is getting more and more difficult and email delivery performance is difficult. But it's so much cheaper... The support has been REALLY GREAT!! Always a quick response with good information, and open to input for new functions. Cons Sometimes the documentation is a bit confusing, or doesn't provide information on all of the functionality that exists. Since it is self hosted, it has allowed us to send frequent emails without the expense associated with commercial subscription software. For the very few issues we've encountered, support has been very quick and all issues quickly rectified. We've been a customer for 11 years. Pros Self hosted, easy to use software. Support over the years has been some of the best of any software that I've used. Cons None - we have no cons at all with this software. The support team went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Pros It is an inexpensive mailing solution that works off our server and AWS account. The software does what is supposed to and the support is outstanding! Not only did they help us get everything set up (at no extra charge), but they even proactively checked back with us to make sure it was working. The support was so fast that we had trouble keeping up with it :) Cons It does require some technical know how to get started.
