### "Fantastic User Friendly Program"

Auctria is a terrific product, and I recommend it to all of my clients and colleagues. It is a great value for the money, easy to use, and has incredible functionality.

Pros

Auctria is very intuitive, and so much easier to use than other nonprofit event softwares on the market. The database function is straight-forward and doesn't have too many layers to it, so data entry is really fast. The website, ticket sales component, donor/guest information, and night of event entry all sync together really well. It takes less than 5 minutes to train volunteers on guest registration, and the materials are quality. Any time that I have had an issue, which hasn't been often, Auctria will get back to me quickly with a solution.

Cons

The only thing I would change would be to make the display sheets a little more dynamic, so they could be individually altered. Perhaps if there were an option to download them as a Word file, it would make it easier to adjust text sizing, photo sizing, etc. Also, it would be great if Auctria had a mobile bidding component.

### "Best Bang for Your Buck"

We used an event manager who charged a fortune and used another program. When Covid cancelled our event, I switched to Auctria. The price difference was amazing and so much easier to use. We had a very successful on-line event and word got out. Had so many calls asking how I did it. Now practically every fundraiser in my area (Portland,OR) is using Auctria. Questions get answered fairly quickly, and all the suggestions for future updates I have suggested have been implemented. Keeps getting easier to use and does more every year.

Pros

Price. Flexibilty. Functionality. I used another program that was very inflexible. With Auctria it was easy to make it fit what I needed to do. Now however Auctria has added so many features I don’t need to figure out work-arounds.

Cons

Designing the Website. I find it frustrating that there are not explanations of what the different styling options are, for example. I have to spend a lot of time trying to figure out how to make it look the way I want. I am not a web designer. Maybe it is assumed if someone is building the website they know all that already.

### "Great event website, don’t like the process to add auction items "

Not too intuitive for accessing data. Trying to find meal options took awhile. It took too long to add all the auction items due to all the clicks to create a new item entry

Pros

Liked the event website, pretty easy to add everything you need. There is a lot of functionality available for data, wish it was easy to find

Cons

It would have been helpful to have the items on a spreadsheet format that you could edit easily. It was difficult to always have to click on the edit item then have another page open to edit. I had so many pages open, it got confusing.

Overall, it works well! I would suggest it if you're not trying to do anything crazy and looking for a way to merge in-person & online elements of a fundraising event.

Pros

Easy to use interface, generally simple and easy to develop the necessary details for our event. It does everything we need it to do, in a generally streamlined manner.

Cons

There were some weird quirks, like you can't create a statement with only the outstanding balance. There were duplicate information (values & donors would not show up in packages) and weird design choices I couldn't change (ie hiding value in one part of the website would not hide it in another). It could use an overhaul of existing features to work out kinks.

Fabulous, exciting. Lots and lots of resources and information. \[sensitive content hidden\] do a great job of organizing the material and presenting their webinars.

Pros

This is my first time using Austria, and I can say without reservations that they are fabulous. I have many questions, and they respond almost immediately. It gives me great confidence going into this challenging event.

Cons

It’s not really a negative, but it looks like I have to put something here. There are so many resources it’s going to take me a while to get through everything. Or, at least narrow things down to what I need.

Overall the experience was positive! The platform provided everything we were hoping for, but there is still plenty of room for improvement. The fact that Auctria offers the service “à la carte” is a huge benefit for an all volunteer charity- no dollar wasted. Thank you for helping us raise money for families in need!

Pros

The value and functionality made the platform worth using. It is very customizable and allowed for a nice fit with our organization’s needs. The bulk import tools saved quite a bit of time. The detailed webinar videos were also very helpful during setup and staff, specifically \[sensitive content hidden\] was extremely helpful and responsive.

Cons

The back end UI could use a bit of a facelift- better naming conventions for some of the tabs could prove useful. If the bar on the left side was organized into fewer, more broad categories, it would save quite a bit of time during setup. The mobile UI on the back end was near impossible to navigate on the night of the event. There should be a mobile app or mobile site for admins- especially on the night of the event. The main concern we ran into on event evening was the inability to easily tell which items had been paid for & by whom. There was also not a convention to mark each item as claimed or picked up which would’ve been helpful.

Really excellent. It’s great value for money. We wouldn’t be able to afford really expensive software, and Auctria does almost everything we want.

Pros

This software is very customizable; with some skill, you can make the website, item cards, and emails all look great. In ten auctions, I’ve found it to be quite reliable. The best thing though is the chat tech support; they seem to respond even outside their official hours, and I nearly always end up with a solution for my issue.

Cons

It works out of the box, but it takes some work to make it look really good. Knowledge of CSS is a definite asset. I like being able to import previous auctions rather than starting from scratch, but if you’ve been customizing emails etc., it can be difficult to find all the places that need updating for the next event.

Overall I really like Auctria and will use it in the future. I would also recommend it to anyone who is needing a program to help with their auction needs.

Pros

I like the item add page. It is simple but allows for a lot of information to be shared. The website is also very professional-looking but easy to make and maintain.

Cons

We ran into problems with reporting our live auction. I wish I could have just clicked a "next" button to go to the next item instead of having to go back through the entry process each time. Also, we put live winning bids in after the auction, and for some reason, Auctria didn't record them and people were waiting to check out and couldn't.

### "Thank you to Auctria!! from a small nonprofit "

Pros

We were in a pinch to set up a silent auction platform less than two weeks away from our event, and Auctria ended up being perfect. For $378, we got every feature we could possibly think of. After looking at a lot of auction/fundraising platforms, I loved that Auctria was focused on auctions, because a lot of other sites have such large offerings that auctions are kind of an afterthought, but Auctria has such a well-developed platform that there wasn't a single thing I thought of that they didn't provide. Also, kudos to the customer support team. Their webinar was super helpful, and team members responded to emails within minutes (!). On the day of the event, I had a freak-out because a function wasn't working, and a team member responded to me immediately and solved the issue within five minutes. The website worked well and our participants (despite being on the older side), were able to easily register and bid. I also liked that I could register participants myself and record bids on the back-end so I was able to register and bid on behalf of participants who particularly struggled with tech.

Cons

The one thing that wasn't 10/10 was designing the website itself. The UI isn't quite as sleek as other parts of the platform, and having to change every individual text box and use the "Advance Styling" for things like font size and italics was time intensive. Our website ended up looking great, but I did have to spend time watching tutorials and I wish it was a bit more intuitive.

My experience with Auctria was really great. The best part is, the staff seemed to really care about giving us the best customer experience. 5 Stars.

Pros

Auctria made ticket purchase, item tracking, and printing seamless. When I had questions I always knew I could count on a fast return time when I sent an email to the team!

Cons

It could be my laptop, but I wanted to be able to tab between fields when I was trying to data enter. This might have been operator error and would not prevent me from using it again for other events.

### "Auctria- Gala/Auction Use"

I would say our overall experience with Auctria is a 3/5. It got the job done, but by any means was not my favorite software I have ever used for a Gala/Auction, and was not the easiest software to navigate. They get points for offering everything in one place, and for using a payment processor we already use and the ease of processing transactions and uploading auction items was great.

Pros

I liked that it was pretty accessible, and had a lot of the tools that we would need. I liked that it linked to an existing payment processor (Stripe) that our company uses. There was a place for everything in the system.

Cons

The software was not super intuitive and the training was not the most helpful. We had to train a lot of people super fast on things and it was not the easiest to navigate. Even our full time staff had a hard time setting up ticket sales to start with.

Pros

the ease of designing the event site - it was pretty simple and as a graphic designer, all I had to do was ask for help and it was there. I also highly recommend taking the course that they offer, almost weekly, it was a game changer in being able to work with the platform.

there were several of us working on the back end of the event site and the others didn't know all the stuff that needed to be done.

Outstanding. We started using Auctria pre-pandemic to manage a live annual fundraising auction for our fly fishing club. The last time we did that, we cleared a bit more than $10,000 with $4,000 in expenses. Throughout and after the pandemic w've used an online auction. This year we cleared a bit more than $9,000 with only $600 in costs, and half of that was for the Auctria subscription. Moreover, the work involved was only about a quarter as much as was required for our old live auctions. Auctria has been fantastic for us.

Pros

It's very efficient and quite powerful. Overall it's one of best pieces of software I've ever used. Customer service is outstanding.

Cons

1\. Interface for auction website construction is clunky and needs a makeover. 2. Having too much help information is almost as bad as having not enough. As a result, I tend to go directly to help by chat rather than looking through several help documents looking for the right information. I know it's in there somewhere.... 3. This really isn't a complaint about the software, only an observation: When you use a complex thing (like Auctria) only once a year, it's hard to get good at it.

### "Great software for gala and auction"

Overall, it was great to have this software for the entire organizing process of our hospital gala. We are talking a very elaborate event with about 250 guests, 100+ donors, and over 150 auction items. In the past all of these things got tracked in multiple spread sheets and if anything changed, it would have been a disaster. This year, using Auctria, everything was in one place, very easy to see in detail or at a glance. If guests or meals or seating arrangements changed, it was so easy to do and follow and just to stay on top of it. I realized, that even though I have been using this system for a few month prior to our gala, there are still many functions we have never even touched. I would highly recommend this software and am extremely glad I did decide for this particular software (never used any other one, but wouldn't switch), but also recommend to take the time to read the manual, play around and take time to understand the many many function to utilize it to its best potential.

Pros

I enjoyed how intuitive the use of the software was. Anything I wanted to do, was possible with this software. There were a couple times were I would provide my volunteers with a log in and they basically figured it out on their own as it was very easy to use and understand the software. Setting up the website, took a little time, but also once I understood how it worked, not a big deal. Enjoyed that I had all info from guests names, seating arrangements, auction items, donors and supporters and much more all handy in one place. Made the reconciliation at the end very easy. I did use an outside budget for this time, but think in the future I would purely use Auctria for that as well. Now that the event is over, it is great to still be able to see all the guests info and pull all different reports we may want to see. The customer service was great in answering any questions I had ahead of time via email, but unfortunately I was never given a phone number to connect with them on the spot. And as it is most often for me, I usually wait with doing something until it needs o be done now and if I couldn't get an instant answer I had to wait and get back at it later. Not their fault, more my own, but I wished sometimes there would have been a live chat or phone number to call. Even though, usually their replies came within a couple hours or overnight as I am on the west coast.

Cons

There isn't much I didn't like. I guess the only thing I didn't understand until we were at the event was that we had the 0.3% charge on Auctria per transaction + the 2.69% on Stripe. The system does show the option to add those fees to the invoice, but we didn't realize it until it was too late. So now we have to cover a pretty large invoice of stripe fees we didn't expect. Anyways, more my fault for not paying attention to ahead of time. But in the future I would certainly add that to the guest check-out or if they want to not pay it, just charge more on our credit card machines then through the system. I also had a couple guests that commented that they weren't able to go back into their registration and make changes to their guest list or meal selection. This must have been a glitch in the system, but wasn't a big deal. For my side, I found it a little confusing with the e-tickets and ticket statements and such, as they weren't fully clear to me what each of them was about and even more so, I thought I had it set up that everyone how registered would receive it automatically. This was only the case for the people that self-registered but not the ones I added manually.

### "Auctria: Top notch software and customer service"

I think I'm on my fifth golf tournament and 8th online auction now. After using the software ourselves for several years, a small group from my Rotary club got together to help other non-profits in our area set up Auctria and run their auctions online during the pandemic. This was right before that service was offered by the Auctria staff. Each group we helped more than tripled their anticipated revenues! I believe they will continue to use the software after returning to in-person events.

Pros

I can duplicate a past auction and have a new one up in running in less than an hour - with full customization.

Cons

When I'm training someone to, for example, just check people in, the learning curve is steeper than I'd like. It would be nice to have a few portals for common tasks such as check-in, check-out, adding products, adding donors.

Reason for choosing Auctria

Ultimately this was the only auction product with the price + features we needed.

It is wonderful. I really love whenever we use Auctria (which is often) because it is so easy to use and works so well on so many different levels. It gives our team confidence to do more when we have an event and we are successful because of this great tool.

Pros

The user interface is so wonderful. It creates an experience that allows us as event creators to make an event that is beautiful online for guests to use. It also is easy for us to create the items, websites, and anything else Auctria offers for an event to be seamless. It works well to export data that we can then input into our other customer relations management software.

Cons

If there is anything I would like to change it would be to have more variation in options with the website offerings. The current ones work well but if we could have more options for differences it would feel less like the same one each time.

### "Auctria - A very happy customer"

Pros

Hard to list just one thing. We a small NPO that survives on its volunteers. In fact, I am a volunteer. I am the only person responsible for the setup and admin of our Auctria events. I am a bit of a tech geek and i actually enjoy working with this product. Very well designed, support is almost instantaneous, and enhancements and new features are always being added. Considering the pricing this is quite a bargain.

Cons

Humm... honestly can't think of any. There is more functionality here then I have time to absorb. That being said it what I need is easy to learn and works well.

Reason for choosing Auctria

Value for the dollar....For small organizations like ours, this was the only option pricewise. That being said, the functionality of Auctria rivals the higher priced alternative.

### ""Take a Taste Out of Crime Online" First Time"

While using an online auction website for the first time did involve much work and a lot of learning, in hindsight, it was much easier and less complicated than I thought it would be. Kudos to a top-notch support team; each representative was spot-on with prompt responses and (very patient) assistance. If found the Facebook page extremely helpful; I appreciated the Facebook group where I could pose questions to "experienced" event planners in search of best practices used by others. We have been toying with adding online bidding options to our in-person event for several years. We have received such overwhelming and positive response to the auction (professional appearance, ease of use), we have begun talking about how to perhaps incorporate technology (Auctria's platform!) in our 2021 event.

Pros

Since 2015 and prior to this year, we had been using the Auctria platform for our in-person event which included upwards of 160 silent auction items, 18 bucket raffles items, and "big item" raffles. It worked well to house sponsor and donor data as well as auction item information and details. Printing up pen-to-paper bid sheets was easy and simple. With COVID19 restrictions, we had to move our fundraiser to an virtual event. Since much of our data was already entered into Auctria, it was easy to re-categorizing pieces from "silent" to "online." It was turn-key! Everything was linked and automatically connected to the auction website catalog pages. Our task then became taking and uploading pictures (using a phone camera!), and creating a website.

Cons

I found that some of the website templates for the auction website were cumbersome and limiting. In adding verbiage to the website homepage, I would have liked to have had more flexibility in font size choices and clearer information about padding and margins in text row blocks (this was the first time I have ever used a negative margin setting!!). My work around was to create a JPG text block and upload it as a picture. While not a software issue, I found the User Guide drill-down method for linking additional information difficult to follow. Often times, I would click on links which suggested other links, which suggested even more links, and I would fink myself lost looking for the solution or answer to a question. On the other hand, tech support is amazing!

### "Auctria auction user friendly for everyone."

Pros

I liked the ease of setting up our online auction - adding items, pictures and descriptions into the system was very user friendly. Auctria not only made it easy for me to set things up it also made it easy for our donors and auction bidders to create their account and start bidding on items. We have a demographic that tends to be not as tech savvy so user friendly programs is a must and Auctria provided that for us.

Cons

I was not a fan of all the windows that kept popping open as I was adding and editing our auction items during set up. It seemed like every time I went to another item a new window would pop up. Not a huge deal but it just seemed to be a lot of windows open as I was going through our set up process.

Auctria has transformed our auction. We are able to reach five times as many participants, more bidders and every year we produce more income. And we find that the option to donate if they decide not to bid is extremely lucrative.

User friendly both from the administrative and bidder point of view.

Cons

Online Help articles not always helpful and difficult to find solutions.

It seemed to be user friendly, flexible, adaptable to our needs and the price was affordable for our small organization. We are considering using the raffle function in 6 months.

### "Great fundraising event with Auctria's help along the way"

When I'm not volunteering my time for the school I'm an IT manager and software engineer. I began by doing a pretty substantial product comparison before we chose Auctria. After comparing Auctria to other products that cost 10x as much I had two main concerns: 1. How can it be so much more affordable than the competition (what's wrong with it)? 2. No phone or night-of support. After using the product to host a fundraising event with an online/mobile silent auction with on-site kiosks, mobile and remote bidde, a live auction, games, and event with ticket sales and related website, I can say I was amazed at the value and support we received. The product has a ton of well-designed functionality built in. I'd like to feel like we used most of it but there were still areas we didn't touch. As for the support, I have to agree with what many others have said. I've never seen such responsive e-mail support and I've been in the industry for 20 years. We must have sent at least 20 e-mails in the few months we had. They always responded quickly; at most by the next business day, but often the same day and sometimes within minutes. More importantly their responses were always very helpful. None of that having to battle through two levels of support before you get to anyone that knows anything. Sometimes, rather than just explain how to do something, they would make a change for us and then explain the "how". They have good documentation and were always very courteous and helpful.

Pros

Excellent price. Excellent support. Well-designed flexible platform that supported our needs. Modern simple-to-use interface with well thought-out workflows such as check-in/out. Built-in support for credit cards. Built-in ways to engage with bidders, donors, etc. Built-in reporting, export and import functionality.

Cons

Lack of premium support option for off-hours support the night of the event (at least at the time). We did fine without it but I can understand that being a deal breaker for some. It nearly was for me, but I'm glad we decided to go with Auctria. At first we were planning to use the live auction website tool for the live auction, but found it was easier to get the presentation we wanted using Powerpoint. With all the enhancements they keep making that can very well have changed by now.

Cons

The onboarding process felt like it frustrated some people with how many steps it took. The checkout process. It's clunky and not obvious and the killer is where people want to pay but then get hung up on where you have to AGAIN agree to terms of use. The credit card input screen is bad (needs to be turned to landscape to even enter information)The confusion about being logged in but not registered, then needing to confirm emailBidders needed to go to the "Home" screen to update their basket/totals. This was especially true for live auction winners.

We hope this helped raise more money! re: onboarding- many orgs will pick up a 20-minute Assist Call, the specialist can fly through lots of q+a's and help with some set-up. In addition, we will be offering some new group sessions, hope that helps in the future.
