We used Auctria for the first time for our first time gala event. The software was simple to set up and easy to use. The User Guide is very comprehensive. When I did need to reach out to the Auctria team for support, they responded with detail instructions within 30 minutes of my email. Great support! Our event was very successful.

Pros

The website was so easy to set up and very flexible. The on-line auction functionality was very easy to use for both me, to set it up, and for the users who were bidding.

Cons

The communication Thank You's for bidders and donors could be improved.

Very good. So nice to have all documentation available in one spot for our donors, Bidders, and administration work

Pros

Auctria offers everything in one spot for managing from start to finish with payment and distribution of our fundraiser.

Cons

Although auctria was available for chats, we found it time consuming navigating website until we found what we required for managing. It was all available but it took to actaully "find" the right documents ect. Now we know, much easier navigating!

Very good experience. The manual is easy to find and customer support responds quickly.

Pros

I use this software for one to three events per year so each time I use it, I have to remind myself. It is easy to pick up and for others on the committee to learn quickly for their needs.

Cons

Sometimes it's not intuitive where to find things such as when you are entering things on a page and get to the bottom expecting to be able to save everything. That isn't always the case. You have to go back to the top left and confirm whatever it is you entered.

### "Great Auction Software"

The Auctria platform was perfect for our first online silent and live auction. We are a church that has been holding silent and live auctions without any online presence for many, many years. I was resistant to changing our auction platform due to the amount of work that would be involved and the cost that I saw for most auction software with online functionality. But with the challenges that 2020 brought we really didn’t have a choice. I was so happy to find Auctria. The functionality and the price are just not to be beat. I found the whole program so easy to use and very reliable. I couldn’t believe how easy it was to create the website! For the few questions that I had I received answers promptly. I have no reservations in highly recommending Auctria.

Pros

This software is so easy to use and reliable! I couldn't believe how easy it was to create the website. The training webinars and documentation were very well done and helpful.

Cons

I do not have have any cons to list for Auctria.

Overall, it was a helpful tool for us to sell tickets and track day-of event donations for our fundraiser, and I would definitely utilize it again. I look forward to seeing how the company improves the system in the future, as I was impressed with some of the beta features being tested while I was using it.

Pros

I had used Auctria before at another nonprofit, so when it came time to find for something for our first fundraiser, it was high on my list. The fact that it integrated with Authorize, our existing merchant service vendor, was a huge plus, as was the price (we used the Emerald Plan). When I had a set-up/testing issue, the customer service was top-notch. Overall, I was very happy with how easy this made our transactions on both sides.

Cons

I am rather tech-savvy, so for me, it was relatively easy to customize to what I needed. Was it perfect for what we needed? No, and there were some things I had to work around for our needs, but I don't think any one system will be perfect for everyone. Also, I had some issues paying for the subscription, since we're in the US and they're in Canada, but again, found a work-around.

### "Great Tool for Your Next Online Auction"

Pros

Austria makes it easy to upload great photos and information on items making the "event" a pleasure for our donors.

Cons

Having to go to a different site (i.e. Stripe) to download any financial reports is cumbersome as it is not linked to donor software. This makes hours of extra work for me.

Auctria overall is great and fairly easy to use. A few glitches along the way, but for the cost, Auctria is the way to go!

Pros

Easy tracking and everything in one place. Allows multiple users to log in at the same time from anywhere with an internet connection. It also allows you to create your own custom website to publicize your event, post a catalog of auction items and allow users to register and purchase tickets online.

Cons

Some of the functionality when setting up our website was not working properly requiring me to use online chat to get questions answered, which was great...during business hours. As a volunteer with a full time job, most of my work on my auction was after hours and weekends.

We had two technical problems we couldn't figure out, both times, vendor responded within hours to better explain how to use the software, or why we were having issues. Great customer service.

Pros

Very easy to import items, and images, and run auction. Web templates make it easy for you to customize the design of the site. Great to be able to choose website name, time zone, and send custom messages and statements to auction winners.

Cons

There was some confusion for users on the buy it now feature, but we can work that into instructions better on our next auction.

Pros

Ease of use including printing, reports, tracking of items, tracking of attendees, and covered all of our auction needs. Way easier to use than the software we have used in the past.

Cons

Sometimes I had difficulty finding a report that would provide just the information I wanted.

Pros

I recommend Auctria to my clients over competitors like Greater Giving because it is more affordable and has similar functionality, if not more functionality because there are more options to customize. I enjoy utilizing the Auction Monitor to show guests the thermometer in real time during virtual events. The customer support is also very responsive and very helpful.

Cons

Though there are many features available with this software, that can also make it confusing and not entirely user friendly. The backend is not as simple as other platforms and it does take a significant chunk of time to get everything setup for your event.

### "Saved our auction during Covid crisis"

Our experience with Auctria has been wonderful. We have used it for three years now, and this year it saved our fundraiser. Our event was canceled just 4 days before it was planned due to the Covid-19 virus. Because of the amazing auction website, we were able to hold a virtual event, still running our auction online and using a video conferencing platform to connect people who were bidding. Thankfully, we were still able to garner donations despite our event being cancelled.

Pros

I love that we can customize the auctria system to reach donors outside our immediate community as well as our regular supporters.

Cons

We had a little trouble with giving the people a “for sale” donation item. We worked it out, but the system was not letting us do it the way we were hoping.

We chose Auctria over other sites because of its level options and low percentage cost for income.

We have been able to raise a lot of money and save time on reports by using Auctria.

Pros

We have been using Auctria for over 4 years. It works great for our gala, where we have silent and live auction items as well as raffle tickets. It has been very easy to use. We have also used it for online auctions at different times during the year away from our Gala. This past month we used it to sell raffle tickets, online, and it worked really great! I highly recommend this product. Other places we have found charge much more for this type of product.

Cons

Auctria has its limits, but for the cost it is expected. The person setting up the auction needs to be comfortable with computers, but the help section is very detailed, so someone who can follow directions should be able to get through it.

Made doing the auction sane.

Pros

Stripe hookup! Money comes in easily. Easier to process than Square, when in a hurry. Easy to print out a nice looking receipt that makes people calm.

Cons

Left nav very long. Sometimes hard to scroll down and click the thing you want. But a minor detail. Mostly great.

Went really great. The app was such a nice bonus for our bidders and attendees. We ran into a few issues at the end with closing the auction in the time frame we required. Once we figured out what had happened we knew this could have been prevented on our end. This was when I hoped there was a customer service line- I did not have time to email the support team.

Pros

The cost of the software was unbeatable! When trying to find a platform that could meet the requirements of what we were looking for I was beginning to worry. Thankfully, I found Auctria.

Cons

No direct phone number to contact and inquire about certain features. They have customer service but it is all online based which sometimes feels like you're dealing with a robot.

We are very pleased with this product. We are a small non profit and we were able to run a very successful auction with this software.

Pros

Compared to other products Auctria had the best value for services. Very reasonable prices for running an efficient and successful auction

Cons

We did not purchase the more expensive version that would have provided one on one customer support. It took quite a bit of reading to figure out some of the components of the auction

### "Miamisburg Rotary Club - Auction"

We've been using Auctria twice a year for 4 or 5 years for our Rotary Club Charity Auction and for our local Merchants Association Charity Auction. Of the different options, Auctria provides the best functionality and services for the price.

Pros

Auctria is an immense help for our organization with tracking bidders, item, accounts and reporting all associated data with our charitable auction. We save a LOT of time and effort over using our own spreadsheets.

Cons

There are minor adjustments to functionality that may help with some of our internal uses. The Auctria staff has looked into some of our ideas, (some dealing with pre-loading bidder numbers) but while it couldn't be done exactly as we had imagined, they were able to help us with a work around to meet our needs. Another occasional glitch is when a silent auction item fails to get the minimum bid, but was allowed to be purchased for below the minimum bid amount, we aren't always able to override the minimum, but have to go in and manually lower the minimum to be able to process the sale. Not a biggie, just a time consuming action (that I believe we've figured another work around for that). Overall, there aren't any significant "cons".

We were able to stop paying an auction company to register bidders, track winners and invoice our patrons. Auctria is always adding features to the software, making it very powerful.

Pros

The software overall is easy to use. You can teach a volunteer how to run it in just a few minutes. We really like the texting function of the software

There are not that many reports that are useful to me.

### "Streamlined every aspect"

We run an annual auction at a fundraising luncheon. It has 100+ items valued at $10k-12k. We started three years ago using Auctria and it just gets easier every year. This year we did seating assignment with the software (replacing Excel spreadsheets) and it was so much easier!

Pros

Ease of entering data. Item entry is easy, combining multiple items into baskets, importing our guest information to the bidder section, entering winning bids, all is so easy and intuitive.

Cons

Sometimes I edit an item and forget to save. It warns me before I lose changes but it is an awkward step.

For the cost, Auctria provides us all we need to run a smooth and successful auction.

Cons

There are a few reporting functionalities that we'd like to see that are not part of the software yet - eg graphing the flow of bidding over the length of the auction.

### "Solid choice for simple auctions"

Auctria has allowed us to streamline our event processes (guest registration, auction sales, and check-out) tremendously all within our budget. Love it. Will be using Auctria for a long time!

Pros

Auctria is an amazing platform for organizations on a budget and have a relatively simple auction to run (ie you don't need a whole lot of customization). It's easy to use, and you can quickly train volunteers on how to run your guest registration.

Cons

I wish there was an easier way to get back to the guest check-in screen after you edit an existing bidder. Simplifying the number of clicks you have to do during the check-in process would be greatly appreciated!
