Overall the staff that is assigned to our account, for the most part, has been wonderful. We've only ever had issues with payroll personnel and that was due to turnover. Our HR rep has been the same for many years and we value her input and knowledge.

Pros

Ability to reach a person when needing assistance; willingness to work with us to resolve financial issues.

Cons

The payroll is not very user friendly and difficult to find reports; Too many emails sent that it's difficult to know when there is something to really pay attention to.

Very good. Usually our representatives are top notch, but every so often we get a bad one. ADP usually figures this out and that person is quickly replaced.

Pros

ADP makes payroll processing an easy process. I can sleep at night knowing that everything is taken care of.

Cons

ADP should handle tasks that require more effort or are outside of our usual responsibilities, rather than expecting us to do them.

We've been with ADP for a long time and our overall experience has been positive. It's great to have a combined package that allows us to have everything under one platform.

Pros

Having everything under one umbrella is really convenient. Also, I really value having an HRBP resource to talk through situations, gather insight and be a partner to us.

Cons

We've gone through several HRBP's over the years. Thankfully we've been happy with most all of them.

Overall, ADP has gotten the job done, but it has its frustrations. I had a better experience when my assigned HRBP was more active and responsive.

Pros

Benefits administration, timekeeping, payroll are all efficient and user friendly.

Cons

HRBP support is not consistent, myLearning@ADP is really hard to use, talent portion is not user friendly either.

The cost is high for a nonprofit like ours. The market has other options for similar products for lower costs.

able to assist many areas in HR, benefits, time and attendance, leave management, custom reporting also is helpful

sometimes you cannot find your representatives to answer urgent questions and others do seem to be able to assist

Pros

The design is user-friendly and there is a multitude of tools to choose from. The support is also resposive and professional.

There are some opportunities for improvement with making menu options more intuitive and reducing the click number

Overall, my experience with ADP was good. It has a user-friendly interface that is easy to navigate without confusion. It’s also security conscious.

Pros

What I like the most about ADP is the user-interface. It’s quite user-friendly and simple. I liked the fast access to my pay check, pay history and tax as well.

Cons

What I don’t like about the ADP app is that sometimes, it can be slow, taking time to load. Also, there are some occasional system glitches.

50/50 What ADP does well it nails. I often am frustrated with the portal - where I need to go, why I can't get a phone call. Also, why can't you be transparent with fees?

Pros

The HR advise is priceless. There is no way I can stay on top of the changing labor laws by myself.

Cons

When you need something, rather than a call you get a link to a case. You have to go into your portal and if there are more questions, you email. I really want to have a conversation. Pricing is another sore spot. Why can't I get an itemized list of what my payment is covering - how much is unemployment, how much am I paying ADP for their service. Seems ADP doesn't want me to know what they cost.

It serves small businesses well and allows them to provide a wide range of services. However they do everything they can to lock you in.

Pros

Buying power and options available to us as a small business.

Cons

Super large business so it is hard and time consuming to f8nd the right person to talk to. Lack of transparency as well, onve you become a customer they will not provide you standard information about claims which are needed to leave the PEO.

We have been customers for 8 years. I really have no complaints as to how anything has gone (excluding my cost concerns as mentioned above).

Pros

I really like the ease of using the portal. Plus, customer service is outstanding, particularly with my HR business partner, \[sensitive content hidden\]. Ease of reaching a real person is particularly pleasing.

Cons

It can be costly, both for health insurance and the service itself.

Very positive. Our customer Service is good but sometimes getting to the right person is challenging.

Pros

Having a dedicated PEO resource available to answer questions. Ability to creatively and thoughtfully craft specific benefit plans for my organization.

Cons

Frequently having to ask Payroll representatives the same questions. Dedicated resources are very good, substitutes or call center folks are not.

Average at best. we have been with total source over 10 years. Not much help or review of our account. We believe we should get a refund , money owed.

Pros

Nothing comes to mind. i’m sorry to say very unhappy with the new transition. especially with reports . we would get a lower amount for 2025 , but nothing back from years past

Cons

The costs are to expensive .. overcharged I feel we were overcharged for many years from workman’s what’s work?compensation

My overall experience with ADP TotalSource has been excellent. It has helped us save a lot of time on administrative tasks and allowed us to focus more on growing our business.

Pros

I love how easy it is manage payroll and HR task all in one place. The platform is very user friendly and the customer support team is always helpful and responsive.

Cons

The initial setup process can take some time, and sometimes it feels a bit overwhelming with so many features to learn at first.

Good. Payroll processing is simple and clear. Employee profiles are easy to access and update. Time off accruals and balances are easy to see and understand. Benefit enrollment is simple and clear. Employee experience is simple. The layout is easy to navigate.

Pros

Employee profiles are easy to move around and find on an individual basis any information you need.

Cons

The Support case system. It is hard to tell what is the most recent additions to the case. It just isn't built for clear documented discussions on issues. It's like you found a ticket system and just bolted it on and didn't check it out to see what it looks like on the user end. Also reporting could be better. Things like adding date ranges for data should be easier to set up for custom reports. And if we need a report created it takes weeks to get it done. No fast turnaround for special reports. Also need to improve during benefit enrollment the setting up of beneficiaries and dependents and the distinction. Employees get it messed up and then have to go back and make changes when they set up dependents as beneficiaries. Maybe some additional detail or walk through questions to help them determine which is which.

ADP TotalSource has helped us to manage our human resources efficiently and professionally for 16 years! They were a shining light in the darkness during Covid shutdowns. ADP helped us to manage layoffs when closures first occurred and we were forced to downsize temporarily, as well as to navigate the PPP Loan Application process with easily accessible reports customized for this purpose.

Pros

ADP TotalSource makes it easy to offer top quality HR services and benefits to our employees. I am able to print reports, make changes and obtain information quickly and efficiently from their Human Resource Information System. Best of all, their representatives are just a phone call away if I have payroll questions, legal concerns, or safety issues!

Cons

There has been a major push to go paperless, and reports that used to arrive with our payroll now must be accessed online and printed in house.

Pros

We always have someone to call for advice and support. Questions about each business area are available and we utilize frequently.

Cons

It is expensive for a non-profit school. However, the benefits far outweigh the cost. We are happy to make this investment.

We've been with ADP for over 5 years. I think the experience has been enhanced by our account manager \[sensitive content hidden\]. She has always been very responsive and helpful. ADP has ensured we always stay compliant with all labor regulations so overall I've had a very positive experience.

Pros

ADP TotalSource is an extension of the Biorep Team. Being a small company, ADP TotalSource provides a professional HR platform that we can trust and rely on.

Cons

I feel the billing is not transparent and easy to follow. If I want to see how much an employee is costing the company, I have to have my ADP account manager do custom reporting for me. It's not easy to gather all the information including the costs of benefits, 401k retirement company contributions, wages, etc.

ADP offered a clever solution that was money-neutral for the company but put money in the employee pockets by switching to a high-deductible healthcare plan but offering employees an HSA. Given our workforce is very young, they are not going to the doctor too often so the money in the HSA is for employees to keep if they are healthy.
