Pros

They have a tremendous amount of support and services available to help us run our business.

Cons

Costs are very high. Would like to see a standard price based on the amount of employees versus the amount of payroll.

Pros

That all services are handled through ADP and we don't have to have a dedicated staff to handle payroll and HR matters.

Cons

Employee churn and lack of accountability and effort, too large and no oversite.

Overall experience with ADP TotalSource is good. It's great for someone that is using ADP for the first time.

Pros

ADP has always been easy to use and user friendly. I've only used TotalSource for around 2 months and it's been nothing but simple.

Cons

Compared to the other ADP products, TotalSource's UI and/or UX design tends to lean towards being outdated. As someone that has used Workforce as their Payroll and a bit of their HRIS, it would be nice if some processes were automated than doing data entry.

The healthcare insurance choices for small business are not flexible at all. Small businesses should have more choices tailoring to specific coverages. Provide us a list of coverages, such as general health, Pregnancy.....that we can choose from

I wish it never happened. Honestly, if you are someone reading this, please call me before moving forward. You can get equal heath care offerings now. Use ADP for payroll but nothing else. Their Total Source venture was a mistake. You get no personalized service and the cost is outrageous. You don’t get a “dedicated” rep tied to your account. You call and they never pick up. “Your account representative is currently unavailable. Press “1” to get the next available specialist to help you”. I can’t tell you how many times I heard that.

Pros

Reduced health care cost for my employees.

Cons

EVERYTHING ELSE! I have been through hell with this service from employee management to ERTC filing. They know this and still send the tone deaf automated questionairre.

Overall a positive experience with using ADP as a user/employee and would use again especially if an app feature is built in.

Pros

Ability to access pay stubs online at any point in time was important and ease to locate specific pay stubs was relatively easy.

Cons

No app feature at the time of use for a more efficient and streamlined process. Also, when company had switched payroll providers to better integrate with their other systems, all employees lost access to ADP login credentials/accounts and therefore could not access previous payroll history.

HR representative is a hard dedicated worker

Cons

No support from the Payroll team. I have to call each time I run payroll. The system is not calculating accruals properly and it is creating problems with the staff. We will be changing the policies so it will be more simple and accurate.

Reason for choosing ADP TotalSource

All in one system. Also, the Board decided after ADP's sales presentation that it promised a productive and robust system back in 2017.

The people are their best asset. looking forward to the software update (only 2 more weeks) I think that will help with all of our reporting and usability issues.

Pros

Payroll processing is fairly simple. my direct reps, \[sensitive content hidden\] (payroll) and Goldie (admin) are great and alway seem to make a great effort to assist us.

Cons

software is a little outdated, integration between total source and time clock are poor. reports are not always what we need and cant be customized, not a lot of choices.

Pros

We love the efficiency of all employee data, payroll, benefits, HR all in one place. Also the self-service generation of WC certificates of insurance. (Marsh) ADP Team is very responsive and a pleasure to work with.

Cons

Report generation can be tricky to find what you need but overall ok.

Pros

ADP TotalSource is especially good at payroll, there is a reason more companies use ADP than any other system. Also, the PEO services really help me stay compliant in a multi-state environment as a HR department of one.

Lack of negotiating flexibility with health insurance renewals.

I like ADP. However, they need to determine a way to improve their current operations. Hire more staff and keep costs down.

Pros

All-in-one services for HR needs. We are a small business and needed a partner to cover these services for us. ADP offered a comprehensive, full-service platform and team.

Cons

Service is declining. We have been with ADP for over a decade, and I have seen a real shift in the level of service provided. This includes response times, level of service, ADP morale (within their own teams), etc. Their reps are all helpful, but they appear to be over-tasked. This has become more and more evident in the last 3-4 years.

We need a full-service HR platform. We do not have internal positions that can support our company's HR needs.

Overall, experience has been excellent. Definitely has removed any payroll tax issues that could arise.

Pros

The best part about having ADP handle your payroll you have the confidence that they know the latest tax laws, and they own the responsibility for taxes all being paid on time and getting posted to the correct accounts

Cons

We have used ADP over 15 years I would say the only con we have had is if our representative has changed sometimes it takes a little bit of time to catch them up to speed on what we need from them
