Pros

Our dedicated customer service representative is great. Even though we are a small firm, he is very attentive and responsive to our needs. We do appreciate that our representatives have been consistent throughout the years.

Cons

I do not have any complaints about ADP. While I do have complaints about the cost of our health insurance, I do not believe that ADP is the reason for the incredibly high cost of family coverage.

Reason for choosing ADP TotalSource

We appreciate consistency, and elected to continue with the good service from ADP in lieu of changing, and perhaps not faring as well with a new company.

alwasy have a bit of a problem navigating the web portals. Plus, there are so many of them!

Pros

Ease of payrol, tax deductions, reporting

Cons

Terrible interface on work force now, and retirement accounts. Limited option while doing payroll, ie PTO: does not allow one to personalize reasons why the many various reason people take off. Also it does not allow particular payments to employess as vacation' when employee would rather work for vacation.

Very good. Benefit price increases have been reasonable. Our point of contact is very responsive.

Pros

Integration of payroll, benefits and 401k.

Cons

Reports - difficult to run common reports.

Overall, I am very happy with ADP TotalSource and the product they provide us.

Pros

The compliance aspect it fully handled by ADP which saves me, as a one person department, a ton of time on the administrative side. I also have no formal HR training and I take that role on in our company. I am able to lean fully on ADP with all HR related issues/questions.

Cons

I don't love that my HR rep is not available to me at most times when I call or send in an support question. I am usually talking to a new HR rep every time and therefore it can be hard with continuity.

I like having all payslips in once please and ADP achieves just that.

Cons

It needs a little time to get used to on the user interface.

### "Run Away, Don't Walk"

Terrible. Full of promises that were never acted on. A "dedicated" team that never responds. Look elsewhere, immediately. We tried giving them numerous chances, numerous, for very simple things that were promised. None are fixed. Even their 24/7 support line takes 6 days to respond.

Pros

PTO tracking was pretty good. And good healthcare rates. They consulted when we had an issue with a bad employee. That's about it.

Cons

Everything. The system is full of bugs and errors. Running payroll takes about 30 steps. The support team, when actually available which wasn't often, never had answers. We have gone over a year and still have not had a simple employee manual, which was promised the first month. They knew we had employees in California since the beginning, and our dedicated Payroll support person said 1 year later, I didn't know you had employees in CA when we asked why it wasn't available in a dropdown. Our HR support person rarely responds to emails. We keep getting late notices for non-payment from the unemployment services office (which ADP is supposed to pay on time). Employees pay was randomly changed without our notice. The benefits selection process for our employees was a joke—numerous broken links in the system. They weren't even provided a simple explanation of benefits for the plan options. I could go on for days and days about the ridiculous number of errors broken promises. Sorry is all we get, with no resolution. Its a lot of money to pay with NO value. Or a "that's an upgraded feature" despite it being promised by our sales team. The only services that work are the 3rd party solutions they use (which are a lot).

Pros

Payroll administration was relatively easy use to use.

Cons

There were many mistakes including terrible set up forcing 2 hour initial payroll phone calls. ADP still has not resolved a payroll tax error costing us $10K. ADP forced me to wire my last payroll to ADP and then did not deposit in my account on payday.

Of the multiple payroll programs I’ve used, ADP is the most user-friendly.

Pros

As an employee using the program for payroll & benefits, the ADP interface was very straightforward and easy to use. Visually clean and appealing. The App is very helpful and well constructed.

Cons

The 401K program is on a totally different website, would be nice if they were integrated.

Okay... Benefits for our team is great. Management of the system and specific issue resolution is poor at best.

Pros

Day to day functions and benefit administration is effective and seamless.

Cons

I get bounced around a lot when I have issues and when I create a case I'm told it could take 3 to 6 pay periods to resolve the issue. Not really sure the purpose of an account rep is as I frequently have to reach out to various individuals to get an issue resolved. Tax payments have been made late. A garnishment was not managed timely. I feel like the client is not the primary focus for ADP and over the years I've been less satisfied with ADP.

### "A Decent Employee Portal With Room To Grow"

Pros

ADP is a giant hub of employee information—tailored to your individual business. I like pulling up my employee records, checking pay stubs, or changing tax information either on my work browser or my cellphone. ADP offers some pretty neat benefits and discounts to ticketed services or entertainment including Disney, Universal, cell phone providers, tax programs, etc. Signing up for benefits one year makes it easier for following years as your elections remain saved for easy review.

Cons

The portal is rather bland and it can take a while to peruse the menus and find what you're looking for. It also can feel weird to use an online HR option versus having internal HR employees.

It s pretty user friendly: when I process payroll it gives all details needed in terms of worksheet, timesheet, employee profile

Cons

in some features it s not very clear; ie on the I9 form, once uploaded you dont get any feeback if it s ok or not and you have to override the error coming up during the processing phase of the payroll

We were able to move from paper to electronic records.

Pros

Helped us transition from paper to the electronic age. We now had a system within which we could maintain several employee functions, so in the end it did save us time and allowed us to do more (run reports, retrieve employee data quickly, etc.)

Cons

It was so buggy! The two sides (HR and Payroll modules) would not "talk" to each other which meant errors or glitches. Trying to keep data accurate was nightmarish. We had to develop our own internal process of not making any changes on the HR side when Payroll was running. We actually gave it two days before we would make any changes, even if an employee had terminated on the day payroll was running. Reports were rarely accurate.

Pros

I love the ease of use that ADP provides, but more importantly the customer service is amazing. The co-browse feature is incredible.

Cons

We had some issue as a PEO with the ERTC, but have since seen some positive results.
