### "Great product"

July 16, 2019

4.0

Overall, the platform is the perfect way to standardize manuals and make information easy to find, read, and manage.

Pros

I've used Vertafore software as a platform for company manuals at several different companies. The most helpful features are the saved links that can be renamed and organized, as well as the quick links offered on the home page.

Cons

Just because of the volume of data being searched, sometimes I have trouble with the search function, if I am starting from scratch. I can usually find what I need eventually, but it sometimes takes longer than I like.

### "Great Agency Management System"

October 1, 2019

4.0

This product is more expensive than competitors, but at least I know it will get the job done. It doesn't break, it gives accurate data, and the customer support is amazing.

Pros

I love that this software will do exactly what I want it to do. Most importantly running reports. If I run a report I get exactly the results I want, there's no guessing the output data, and when I run the report again the data is the same.

Cons

No One likes accord forms. I wish this product was more integrated with Accord forms, where I could search for what I wanted and it was prefilled accordingly.

[EZLynx](https://www.capterra.com/p/102928/EZLynx/)

Ezlynx does one thing right. Accord Forms. Everything else, it falls short. I cant run reports with consistent data, or it crashes and the report doesn't run at all. The customer support is hard to get on the phone, and even harder to resolve the multiple problems that come up. AMS360 works and works well.

### "AMS360 Old DB2 Engine Developed Before the Internet"

October 3, 2020

2.0

Sensitive entry in property modules throws numerous exception errors. Navigation in every aspect requires clicking through fields rather than allowing tab to preserve data integrity. Constant toggling in and out of apps is required for tedious data entry to be preserved. Import/Export feature has limited information capture. Product may be suitable for agency working with small business or personal lines. Downloads are fraught with errors in old AL3 flat files but cost is prohibitive. This product is definitely not suited to agencies working in upper middle or large market accounts.

Pros

Easy to customize activity, attachment and suspense categories to agency's culture.

Cons

Cost- it is staggering that Vertafore charges premium user rates for a product engine developed 1989-92 (before the internet). Clunky DB2 database indexing requires massive space. No capability to set up nested folders for activity display. Grouping assignment requires multiple reports requiring export to Excel for any sort of reason. Limited integrated apps for modern coverages like cyber, EPLI, pollution. No ability to rearrange e-forms display for non-integrated certificates and applications. Claims data capture is limited and does not populate loss notices correctly. Accounting is archaic dual entry GL. Clunky certificate/ app display in e-forms do not allow display reorganization in tree forcing creation of an integrated form with a non-integrated attachment. Marketing/Submission module is limited and does not interface well with suspense. This fossil should be burried.

### "A Necessary Evil"

September 20, 2018

4.0

You get used to it because you have to use it every day. I have found ways around the clunky interface which makes it more tolerable but MUCH improvement can be made. We’ve used it for at least 7 years.

Pros

Preview Pane in the policies view. I have mine set to show activities which is very helpful and much less time consuming than wading thru the activity screen.

Cons

Many features having to do with searching are not user friendly or intuitive. We should be able to search activities - in the view options - by keywords in the description field. Right now, I have to search Outlook and find an email with the information and then go to that date in activity to find what I’m looking for. This also means I can’t delete emails from Outlook because I’m using them as a search tool for activity in AMS. Very annoying and time consuming.

### "AMS360 is a complete agency management system for most insurance"

September 26, 2019

4.0

I was satisfied when using the software except when we had new users or non-savvy tech users.

Pros

This might be the gold standard for agency management systems. It is very competent for several insurance products.

Cons

The software is pricey. It is very complex and can be a challenge for users that aren't the most proficient with technology. It can be buggy and glitchy for novice users.

### "Archaically Functional"

August 21, 2023

3.0

Pros

It's the heart of our business, without it we would not have much of how to work. It tracks absolutely everything and customer support is always willing to help when needed.

Cons

It's ancient to it's core and it shows. It's not very customizable and can be painfully slow at times.

### "Overall a negative experience as a long-time user."

April 19, 2018

3.0

As our agency management software, we benefit from keeping excellent files on all of our customers. We are able to service and perform accounting on all of our policies.

Pros

Accounting functionality and tracking, reporting, activity logging, ability to post suspense items and reminders tp others in the company.

Cons

Very limited integration options with other software companies, expensive, very slow at times, behind the times as it relates to ease of use and functionality, lack of important updates, lacks sales and marketing uses.

### "Not What I Expected"

June 13, 2020

3.0

I have not had a good experience with AMS 360. It doesn't seem like they listened to the agent when building the software.

Pros

The ability for my agency group to use one software was the main reason for the change. It makes it easier for everyone being on one system.

Cons

The lack of training to use the system, as well as the additional costs associated are the biggest cons

### "Solid customer management system. "

February 6, 2018

4.0

AMS 360 connects our entire office even though we don't always work in the same room.

Pros

I love that activity tracking is real time to all users. It helps to know all the information about a customer immediately since we have multiple people answering the phone.

Cons

The reports. I feel like there may be everything I need in them, but figuring out which one to run is not intuitive.

### "I love AMS 360- if I ever have issues which are rare the customer support is top notch"

February 22, 2018

5.0

Everything we do with our customers is documented and we are able to set reminders for ourselves to follow up on anything and other users can see what we are doing/ have done

Pros

The ability to open more than one tabs and search other customers while not losing the customer I am on.

Cons

I don't like not being able to text out of it, whenever we do any other activity it documents it but for texting we have to use another carrier

### "Vertafore AM 360 is mainly an accounting system moreso than for day to day insurance purposes "

October 6, 2020

3.0

Overall i think it is an ok system . I have used Applied and Sagitta, i feel they are easier to use on the insurance side. Not user friendly for insurance agents and account managers that do the day to day work on acord forms or submissions.

Pros

I think it is a great accounting system and for pulling accounting reports. It is a great system for information on insurance topics.

Cons

But with regards to filling out acord applications , certificates it needs to be more interactive and ease of use.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. It is a glitch, overpriced product; and when it comes time to get help with their glitchy, overpriced product, no one answers. Again, today, I have been on hold for more than 2 hours. The sales line picks up right away!! But, oh no, they can't offer any assistance.

Cons

Do not buy. Glitchy, overpriced product.

### "not a fan"

October 6, 2020

2.0

It's like AMS hasn't been updated in years to keep with the changing tech savy platforms. Really was not happy with it.

Pros

Customer support was always helpful if I had login issues or issues running any certain types of activities.

Cons

It is just very clunky. It has an old look to it and is not very user friendly. Even reading emails comes up in a single line "text" format which is a pain to read.

### "Versatile program"

July 19, 2019

4.0

We use reference connect to search for class codes when trying to qualify a risk. The program is chalk full of information, easy to navigate and updated constantly. Sometimes, there is a glitch where it requires me to logout and log back in, but other than that, the ease of use is very high.

Pros

The variety of products available for use

Cons

Only needing access for one program when there are multiple that could be used for our line of work

### "Terrible Management System"

January 19, 2015

1.0

Warning - Vertafore will delete functions of AMS without any warning and certainly no foresight. We've been using AMS for 10 years and it's clear that they have no one on their development team with any insurance knowledge. This last change has forced our hand to switch. Despite it's many shortfalls, we were actually content with AMS360 until the team a Vertafore decided to make an update change that, in short, took away the ability for our clients to generate their own certificates online in their 24/7 program. As a commercial agency that generates thousands of certificates a year, this change has crippled us. We now have to issue each certificate in house individually. Vertafore has been completely unresponsive in answering whether or not they will actually fix this. Our sales rep won't answer our phone calls or emails.

### "A system for insurance agencies"

March 28, 2018

5.0

Pros

It is great to keep all items in one area to be easily found and to better service the client and their policies.

Cons

There could be some glitches in the system, sometimes they could even be without knowing besides that it is a good system to use.

### "Not user friendly"

September 14, 2022

3.0

The product was probably pretty good, but we needed more training and it was going to cost more than what we were using it for at the time.

Pros

I loved how it was integrated with IVANs and had a quoter with it.

Cons

Wasn't easy to work through. If you didn't have extensive training it was going to take you a while to pick it up.

Reason for choosing Vertafore AMS360

A colleague suggested it.

### "AMS360 is wonderful"

February 7, 2025

5.0

It's a useful, user-friendly program to use for keeping client's information at your fingertips. I would recommend it to people I know and like.

Pros

When I was an insurance agent, that program had everything I needed when speaking with my clients. I could look at previous notes and scan paperwork to their file. I loved the suspense part of the program. That helped you to not forget important tasks (future) we had to do with clients. It was similar to outlook calendar. I loved it.

Cons

I don't think there was anything I didn't like about it. It never went down; updates were handled overnight and on weekends. Nothing bad about it.

### "AMS360 is a great software platform with a horrible exit service"

October 16, 2023

4.0

Pros

Its operation and functionality were great. New ownership caused a change and Vertafore didnt want to let us out of our contract.

Cons

My agency was purchased and I contacted Vertafore, AMS360, to let them know that the new \[sensitive content hidden\] wanted to use a different software package. I further explained that I wanted to stay with Vertafore (AMS360) and needed to keep them shining in a good light in order for that to happen when the contract with this new other carrier came around again. I appealed to AMS360 and its various people who are in charge and explained the situation and was repeatedly told sorry, but you signed a contract. While I do believe in a contract, I also believe that "good faith" means more about how a company operates in the real world. When you are stuck to your contracts and unwilling to provide real world work-arounds, you become mindless. As you can imagine, this has not gone over well with my new \[sensitive content hidden\]. It is costing our agency over $1,000 per month for the remianed of our contracted term. In short, that means in excess of $8,000 total. I was trying to save Vertafore and AMS360 and get them back int he agency and they seem more interested in their short term gains than long term potentials.Very sad....truly not a company I want to do business with if this is how they are treating their "agency partners".

### "Good for large insurance agencies"

May 19, 2022

4.0

We used Vertafore AMS360 and previous versions from 1988 to 2014. We switched to another vendor in 2014 due to valuable increased features and price.

Pros

Their users group is very active, knowlegeable and has stellar conferences. Vertafore at least partially funded the users group and took suggestions from the user group R & D committee.

Cons

They don't have text messaging, the accounting feature was not intuitive and the price was high and went up quite a bit every year. Vertafore required certain kinds of PC's and software to run the product, so that requirement added to the cost too.

Reason for choosing Vertafore AMS360

Vertafore was in the top two biggest/best vendors back in 1988.

### "A Love - Hate Story"

November 8, 2019

4.0

I am able to complete my day-to-day activities and, for what features are there, they work enough to complete my job. This may just be the "Hyundai" of databases for insurance while Applied EPIC is the "Ferrari". Customer service is slow also.

Pros

I do like the the fact that the system provides tools needed to be able to get my job completed. I have used this program for several years but the program remains in second place, in my "book".

Cons

The attachment section could be way easier to navigate. The billing sections could be easier to navigate as well. Pretty much the whole user interface could be updated for more efficient processing. More comprehensive "suspense" features are needed. An attachment drill-down on suspense's would be nice, instead of having to locate each document in the difficult to navigate attachments section. I feel as if the attachments section was created too narrowly/specifically and really decreases the effectiveness of having the attachment section. Too many different "action codes" to choose from.

### "Integrations and Reports are second to none"

May 2, 2022

5.0

SO EASY to train new hires. The templates really help us teach new agents the importance of discussing coverage options at the beginning of the quote.

Pros

I LOVE how we can take a new quote and move all of the info to our CRMS with just a click.

Cons

Some reports do not finalize, which is fine because that is completed in the carrier site after bridging over.

### "AMS360: Tech Perspective"

October 28, 2019

4.0

Overall AMS360 fills a unique niche for us and overall does a good job. They are also trying to ramp up there online platform with more features.

Pros

Overall our users like this product and it gets the job done. I find that it functions well on standalone desktops.

Cons

It has alot of issues with terminal server environments from what we have seen. Need to constantly chat the cache. Definitely a learning curve for users, though that is like most products.
