A very positive and consistent experience. We can't really imagine switching to something else at this point, as it keeps growing and Phorest keeps adding more updates that benefit everyone.

Pros

It has almost every feature we need and being able to actually utilize the features is simple. Their customer support is generally very prompt with a consistent resolution. I love being able to know and talk to real people. Love being a part of their beta programs to give feedback on what they're innovating, it feels like a partnership because they truly care about the user experience and make adjustments when needed.

Cons

Going from salon biz where Aveda plus was integrated, we'd love to see integration in the future but it was certainly not a dealbreaker. It's held our desk staff accountable, and we see so many MORE enrollments without the integration. Can't imagine the success we'd have if we did have it though.

My overall experience has been great! The customer service is great. If I ever have a problem and need troubleshooting help, it's always available.

Pros

Phorest has all the tools you need to build a successful business. It's way more advanced than all other platforms I've used.

Cons

I do wish Phorest was a bit more affordable for smaller businesses. I don't mind paying for a platform the is advanced but $300/month seems a bit steep for a solo aesthetician.

Overall fair, has improved over the last year, but I’m getting frustrated with the lack of bug fixes for waitlist and package updates.

Pros

Ease of booking online. Dedicated support is nice. Built In marketing. Inventory systems are easy to use

Cons

Features are bugged and take forever to get fixed. Feature will be launched with known issues with no timeline of resolution.

Pros

Phorest has the BEST reporting system I have ever worked with! Every time I need a number to support my teams growth it is so easy to find! Also, their customer service is EXCEPTIONAL!

Cons

The only con I can think of is that there is no way to "split" retail. My salon specializes and when they share a client there is no way to "share" the retail at checkout. But I reported this issue and have been told they are working on it!

Cons

Constant updates. It's a good thing, but there can be bugs. Constantly having to tell clients, I'm sorry, bear with me, we just updated can be taxing.

I love all the functions and how many things the system provides for even just the intro package. There are so many functions that we still don’t even utilize, but it’s great knowing they are there!

I don’t like that the save card on file is hard to see when checking out. Saving the card is on as the default, should be something you have to click on to save.

We have been using Phorest for the last 6 years and couldn’t be happier. The staff we interact with and support we get are truthfully our favorite part.

Pros

Ease of use and appointment booking by far are my favs. Email and text marketing are a close second place.

Cons

The app is occasionally buggy, but not a deal breaker. For my end on the fly I need the app to be ready for me whenever because I am on the move and not in front of a PC.

Our experience so far has been quite amazing. The staff has been more than helpful. We have recommended this product to more than one salon. It is so easy to teach any new staff to use because of how user friendly it is.

Pros

I love the community, they are more than helpful and handle all issues in a timely manner. It makes it super easy to ask the chat on our desktop to get to ant shortcut answers. Anytime there is technical issues they are able to address them immediately. The scheduling features make it easy for our front of house to properly book our staff according to their proper availability.

Cons

There hasn't been anything in particular that has had us dislike phorest. Only thing is the Phorest tips, we are interested but the staff is used to having their tips deposited immediately and with Phorest tips we will have to wait till the next day.

Overall, it’s been a wonderful experience with Phorest. The customer service is hands-down some of the best I’ve ever experienced. We could not be happier.

Pros

Very handy to use, easy to educate staff on updates. Friendly, easy to use for accounting and bookkeeping.

Cons

Difficulties with the online app when customers are booking. The customers that state they have difficulties usually say it has to do when they are entering in the email. We remind the guest that they need to have an updated app version and an updated software version. That usually fixes whatever is going on.

Any partnership will have their ups and downs but Phorest is a company with a lot of integrity so we know we can trust our partnership with them.

Pros

I like the ease of use and the constant pace of updates. It is usually easier for us to handle smaller improvements rather than one update that changes everything at once.

Cons

The online store needs to be more user friendly, from both a consumer and salon perspective. An improvement to this would entice us to add it to our services.

Pros

All the features our old system did not offer! Such as text confirmation, apps. for stylists mobile devices, and all the marketing material available through the program is fantastic!

Cons

Mobile app. can be very glitchy at times. logs you out, closes unexpectedly, even having to sometimes delete, redownload and sign back in.

On boarding was easy and every step along the way was supported with a personal consultant. We even had to separate from a second location and that was completed on time and with ease.

Pros

The versatility of the software and the use of campaigns, and marketing tools reach a wide variety. the software is easy to use and you can always find what you are looking for. The support is also always helpful. New Staff can also take part in the videos helping to alleviate some of the onboarding.

Cons

Waitlist. It is the only thing that needs improvement, but please don't take the lead from Milano.

### "Ill never look elsewhere"

I absolutely love it. It checks all of my boxes, and then some. They're constantly improving, taking into consideration customer feedback, and generally speaking - they actually seem like genuine humans.

Pros

I love that everything is customizable. Need a report? They got you. Integration for an online store? Done. How can I save time, and promote our great reviews on facebook? Ummm Phorest can do that for you.

Cons

I wish it would double as a payroll system

### "Unprofessional Company with hidden charges and poor data management"

I have had this software for over 5 years and they are only interested in how they can make more money out of their clients. They charge inflated prices for simple things and hide the charges so you aren't aware of them. They introduce new features which sound great but in reality don't work and then charge you a higher subscription for their software for the new features when don't work. For example they introduced a feature called client reconnect which is supposed to text clients when they are overdue their appointment but it just doesn't work, yet they charge an extra £40/month for it. Also if you have multiple sites, none of their reports or stock inventory work across multiple locations so you have to go into each location to run reports or get stock information which is very time consuming. It also doesn't link into any other software or marketing software so you have to do work arounds and manual exports if you want to use your client data in facebook or email marketing. The email and text marketing within Phorest is expensive and poor quality compared to industry specific software so another downside to Phorest. There are many much superior softwares available that are cheaper, easier to run and integrate easier into other business softwares. Having stuck with Phorest for over 5 years now I wish I had made a move to better software years ago.

Pros

The appointment diary is simple and visual but basic. There is an online reputation manager which helps you manage your online reviews but now I have seen what other systems can do I think it is basic and its only available when you are on their most expensive package.

Cons

The company has hidden charges which they deduct at source so you can't see them or audit them. They consistently over charge and apply higher charges to bills than your original contract and insist on payment by direct debit so its not easy to detect them. They manipulate your data without knowledge or consent, for example they opted many of my clients out of being able to receive marketing information without my knowledge, I only discovered by accident and it turned out to have been an issue in their software which they denied to begin with but then had to admit it was their fault. I have no idea if they corrected the fault just with my account or whether other customers who have been affected but are still in the dark. A few years ago they made a major to how their online booking system worked, but didn't inform any of their clients so all our online bookings on our website went down and again it took a few weeks for them to admit the mistake was theirs, but it still cost me thousands with my website developer to re-design my website to overcome their change which is incredibly poor change management and poor knowledge of their customers and how they use the software.

I made the switch to Phorest after a competitive tendering system, where Phorest made various written representations about the features, benefits and pricing so came out top on the tender requirements, however when the software was installed, it came out that many of the features that they had confirmed the software did were 'in development' and some of them had still not been launched over 5 years later...

My team at the front desk finds it very easy to use, and as I mentioned above my Favorite thing about the software is the customer support.

Pros

Have been in the Salon business for a long time, and believe this is our fourth software. This software will be our last, as it meets all our needs. What I like most about Phorest is the customer support.

Cons

When trying to find a way to do things, sometimes you have to put in the exact words, and sometimes what I’m thinking, doesn’t match those words. However, I call customer service and they handle everything for me.

Sometimes the reporting is difficult but usually we find it. I would also love if we could get better discounts and offers for salons with multiple locations.

how slow the software works. stalls alot or freezes

Wider clientele was attracted, and customer retention increased, thanks to the integrated marketing tools. Overall, Phorest proved to be a useful tool for streamlining salon operations and attaining business objectives because to its user-friendly design and extensive features.

Pros

A whole range of features designed especially for salon businesses are available through Phorest. Appointment scheduling, client management, and staff organization are made simple by its user-friendly interface. The software's powerful marketing options, which include automated SMS and email campaigns, aid in bringing in new clients and keeping existing ones. The integrated point-of-sale system from Phorest makes inventory management and transactions simple. Salon owners may receive insightful information about the operation of their businesses and make data-driven decisions with the help of thorough reporting and analytics.
