We were primarily looking for sharing documents and virtual workgroups to synchronize with our writers. SharePoint proved to be too expensive, platform-dependent and required time-consuming implementation. Thanks to Capterra we found Bitrix Intranet. They offer a very convenient way of testing software in their virtual lab and free on-demand webinars. We tested it and found it fits our requirements and budget limitations. For some $499 we got even more than we expected. Now we step-by-step implementing more features available in the product. Task management and calendaring is already on-air. Next in the row are instant messaging and social networking. Cons The back-end administration can be considered too difficult for an average user. I also like the free account so we could try out the software on a small project and upgrade as needed. Pros Bitrix24 has a large assortment of features and collaboration opportunities. The built in CRM feature is great. Bitrix24 also has a built in web mail service which I tried but found that send email from Bitrix24 to my regular email was easier. The task sharing is easy and is inclusive fro everyone on the team. There are different levels for access which is great for separating different levels of the project. Cons There is so many features which makes it difficult to learn and it takes some time. I prefer Projects rather than work groups but I have learned to understand the Bitrix24 setup. If you manage to force your people to use it, you'll have "everything in one place": internal and external processes. What I like most is a convenient feed in which you can quickly look at events related to client tasks. Cons The support service replies to all requests that it will try to eliminate problems in the next release. But as you probably guessed, this does not happen. We still hope that the platform will finally begin to work as it should. Which is why I tried this software in the first place. It great, does everyone I want, and is very easy to see everything and chat or reply to your users. Pros Clean interface, very nice amount of features, and very easy to get the hang of. Cons Yes there is a free version of this, however for a business the paid one is quite a bit higher than other software that do the same thing. It seems there is a project management just for kanban, but no, it's done somehow. A couple of employees said that it’s good to display sales statistics. There is a Gantt chart. Cons Beautiful design, but terrible interface. The developers seemed to want to attract a good wrapper, but forgot about the useful and, most importantly, normally working functions. Pros The free trial was easy to establish and required little training for implementation. It allowed a small business to have adequate staff and new clients input to move forward on most products and services. On-boarding new users took much more of an investment, and we did not have the volume of clients that made using such a robust CRM a good use of staff time. Cons It was our lack of volume, not the product's capacity or functionality that put this on hold for our team.
