This has allowed our staff to do away with traditional "to-do" lists and share a program for all to access and use. Pros Being able to track my requested work. This allows me to plan and schedule projects around items needing to be addressed. Cons It would be nice to have a project management tool or another project management software interact with this. What I have used it for has been easy to use but at times can be difficult. But as I said I am learning, plus I do not sit in front of my computer all the time. Pros The software is very useful, it teaches you things about thinking in a logical manner. Cons a person has to use it every day to learn all of the ins and outs of the software. Customer service has been very helpful when needed. Cons The data export function (Asset Essentials Connector)did not allow me to export data from multiple tables at the same time. I would need to export fields from two or more tables separately, then combine the fields in to one table afterwards. This did not satisfy my needs and as a result, I could not create the proper reports for my superiors. At the beginning there were a few people we dealt with that are no longer there that did not provide the same level of customer care as the ones that we deal with now. Pros We fell in love with the ease of use of the interface. The level of control over the maintenance technicians is phenomenal and the ability to provide a service request portal to users without needing to purchase additional licenses was a huge deal maker. Cons As with many new implementations, we ran into a few bugs at the beginning when we first implemented the software. With their amazing customer support, we were able to overcome those issues, but it is something to consider. I would definitely suggest this product to other companies who need a cheaper maintenance program that compares to the more expensive ones. Pros It is similar to the expensive programs I have used at previous jobs but at a better price. It is relatively easy to use with teaching aids built into the system. I would like to see better reports so that I can "fine tune" my team and trends. Also on the original setup I was suppose to have unlimited storage, then they came back and said it would be "limited." There was also only one version of AE when I signed up, then the added AEE and wanted to change pricing. I was able to work out the issues, but still not exactly what was promised in the beginning. Pros I like the support availability and the ease of use. There are still areas where I think they can improve on, one being the mobile app (android/iphone). Cons Pulling certain reports and asset history is not user friendly. I have tried to work with them on multiple reports and it is always a nightmare of finding something that will work. Pros We love how it helps us track work orders and we can assign those requests to our teams. We are a large campus and this helps us with tracking the requests. Pros The software has all the flexibility it be used in most any maintenance department. Easy to add and duplicate work orders staffing, and people changes are easy to add and adjust. Simple to look up equipment history and track past issues. Cons The dash board and charting features are easy to get looking good but hard to adjust to your specific needs. Reason for choosing Asset Essentials The program seemed more flexible and easier to understand. It also will allow us to grow in the future more licenses and more equipment. The overall experience has been great. Pros I like the ease of use and the ability to customize fields after initial implementation. End users are able to access the program remotely in the field which makes them more efficient. Pros We have used products from this company for years and we switched over to Asset Essentials in the last couple of years. This product is amazing and so much easier to enter in work orders and see the progress. It's also much easier for other people to enter in work orders and communicate with those people. Cons It can be a lengthy process to get it customized and implemented.
