I fill out the work done for certain buildings. I also submit new work orders to maintenance when anything is broken. I also have special requests, normally for larger events with lots of tasks needed. Pros Asset Essentials helps communicate the tasks that are being accomplished in separate buildings/areas. It provides a layer of security by allowing managers to review data before finalizing the completion of any work order. Cons Asset Essentials has a feature to filter work orders by the date they are submitted. I would like to filter by the date the work is being requested for, and I wish there was a dedicated section for this. I have been able to put the date in the comment section and sort in this way. I'm starting get like all the features it has but still would like it to be easier to maneuver around. Pros What i like most about asset essentials is that I can look at my pm's and add to them if need be. I can also keep up with my work orders. Cons Its not very user friendly for me anyways. We have been able to instruct all of our lower level personnel on how to access the system and how to find what they are looking for. Pros I love the ability to access all pertinent information on a work order so easily. After we got all the assets built it went pretty smoothly. Cons It is a lot to put in all the information. Multiple days without access to the system because of their technicians. What good is a work order system that we cannot put work orders into? Pros Two years ago, the support was great. Now, it sucks. Over promise and under deliver. School Dude was better. Cons Poor support. Cannot use this software across all platforms unless you jump through hoops. Wish we would have had someone better be the point person for the initial set up. Pros How it communicates with itself. When putting in work orders in it can create an accurate picture of the cost and effort to maintain things around the city Cons building it out, the person who chose Brightly for us didn't do a good job deciding how to roll it out, so now we're inputting assets, locations, and parts one by one. I don't feel like the training in brightly academy was detailed enough; it was more about what the software could do, and less about how to set up those configurations. It is truly a good system for maintaining your fleet plan. It is nice to be able to put work orders in and see the status of that work order when more than one person is needing to view the information Pros Ease of fleet management. Customer support is great and very helpful. Communication is very accessible with email, phone or the help pages. Cons Entering and deleting users. Sometimes we have the need to deleting a user from several areas, it is hard to find and figure what areas a person is associated with if you are not the person who originally enter that person into the system. " April 25, 2018 3.0 Pros This software has a lot of potential for us. The ability to track costs of repairs, parts, downtime, etc. could be really valuable. Having an accurate parts inventory will also be very nice when we get to that point. Keeping track of what work has been done on the different assets has been the best for us so far. Finally, having a parts list for each piece of equipment will be awesome. Cons It is not a very sleek or modern user interface. Also, there are abundant features that can provide great value but it takes a lot of clicks to access what I want. Sometimes it seems like there are too many steps to perform what I want to. The customer service is world class, and the feedback loop allows for meaningful dialogue between the Brightly team and our organization. Cons Early adoption was tough, and a path to scale was not clear. This became way easier as time progressed and our userbase's skill set matured. Cons My biggest problem is I can't input the things that directly report to my group. We were not originally set up to be individual. The Grounds Dept. has grown and we need to be able to be more specific in what we do. This will allow us to accurately track those job types. The Asset Essentials team is easy to reach and helpful in resolving any problems. Pros The ease of work order entry and the dispersion to the trades. Also, when I call for help, the person I reach spends as much time as necessary to answer all my questions. Cons Learning how to create different views for the work orders and batching work orders that need to be closed. From the adding users to the work tickets. We also utilize the parts portion for inventory and tools. Cons The mobile app is my least favorite. We have had issue after issue with the app kicking people out throughout the day, not just work tickets, but to the client ID. Since we have authenticator licensing, we need to also fill out that information each time. It is very frustrating. Cons Its not user friendly when you have used mobile 311 and switch to this. Maps will not follow you like mobile 311. work order set up is very hard to under stand its more like as long as you create it for someone else its ok but when you want to create and take off right there you have create a work order then go back into it and enter info. I haven't really had any bad experience with the product. I still need more training on Asset Essentials. Ver Pros The ease of going to my projects finding the project number and getting and giving updates on each project in case someone else needs to know about my project. Progress with bugs and these functionality problems take way too long if ever to be completed. Honestly wish we spent our money elsewhere. Pros setting up Pm's was a nice change from using Outlook calendar Work request made it easier for staff to tell me about broken equipment it does eliminate paper Cons very tough to start to use it because the lingo and they way they have it sorted doesn't really apply to manufacturing. to customize alot of thing you need them to do it because we don't have access. plus everything takes 5 at least 5 seconds to load. which doesn't sound like much but every thing you click will have load times. The app is terrible and unusable. load times, restriction in functionality. bugs. Ability to put in meter readings is terribly painful You cant add parts while in a workorder. its a separate page you have to go to. and you can't complete tasks while on a computer. Reason for choosing Asset Essentials I chose this one because it had an app and it looked very useful and they said it would be easy to do a walk around checklist with meter readings. It also was on the cheaper side which made it easier to pass on to upper management to buy in.
