Great! Customer service has always been great, the price is comparable to other systems, and the product is professional.

Pros

The ease of billing. The billing system is easy. Overall the ease of use for all parties, including the attorneys.

Cons

The reporting feature is still on the more difficult side to get what you are needing. If you want to look into a specific client for dates, it does not give you that option.

ease of use and layout of software. I've been using the program for a lot of years and it's been very useful.

Cons

data protection these days is an important part of business. most servers are in the cloud off site and I don't feel as secure with what direction sage and timeslips is taking.

Overall, Sage is a dependable tool for professional time tracking and billing. Their customer support team is amazing and answer your queries patiently.

Pros

Sage Timeslips is reliable straightforward for tracking time and billing clients. once it is setup logging time is easy and accurate and the reporting is strong enough for professional use.

Cons

The interface feels dated and not very inuitive at first. Setup takes bit longer than it should and some workflows feel bit complicated than necessary.

It was great for decades, but now seems more geared to larger teams of attorneys, as there is a much cheaper rate for larger groups- for a solo or small firm I would not recommend it.

Pros

I liked that it was simple to use and could generate reports easily- I used it for decades and loved it.

Cons

I have used Sage TS so long, that I actually used it on a paid for CD. What I did not like was when it went to monthly subscription it was super expensive, far too expensive for a solo practitioner so I had to leave.

Perfect for what I needed to use it for: entering time, expenses, and preparing bills. I wish some features were easier to use, or understand with tutorials and/or live support.

Pros

Ease of use for navigating each entry. The toggle function from entry to entry is the perfect way to edit and review multiple entries while saving time. Preparing bills was very easy. I like the locking of bills before approval stage.

Cons

Some of the functionality was either complicated or confusing. The interface at times was a bit dated. I felt that many details were not as easily explained without doing further research.

I have used Sage Timeslips at two different firms between 1999 and now. I enter time; produce reports and bills.

Pros

Easy of time and expense entry; wide range of reports available and the customization options

Cons

Many of the reports have such small print that they are difficult to read.

Pros

The ability to print a report showing realizations for each imekkeeper and an overall client realization rate and write-downs.

Cons

Sage did not improve the software and fell behind in features.

The customer service detracts from the quality of the program which I think is excellent.

Pros

Timeslips has excellent time tracking and billing features. The billing and invoicing features are excellent.

Cons

In all honesty, I am extremely disappointed in how Timeslips provides support to customers. Trying to solve a problem through "chat" services is ridiculous. What has happened to one-on-one conversation? Customer support is the worst feature of Timslips, yet it should be the most important feature aside from the product itself. Also, for the amount of money I am paying each year, I should have the ability to have more than 4-5 support interactions with being charged. I honestly believe that these issued should be addressed.

Overly complex and antiquated. Takes too much time from both the end user and administrators. We are way happier using Avaza and Quickbooks than we ever were on Timeslips.

Pros

There wasn't much to like about Timeslips except maybe an abundance of reporting

Cons

Clunky and over complicated. Interface was outdated. Started on the locally hosted version which was nearly impossible to upgrade and required keeping a really old computer around. Did demos with Sage to see about getting on a newer version and I wasn't impressed at all with their offering compared to other products I was looking at.
