I realize this will not be published, but I feel for the price, the value isn't great. It's okay and it will do. However, if I were a product, I'd want a little more than to be mediocre.

Pros

Time entry is basically easy; preparing monthly bills is easy.

Cons

Customizing reports and invoices is painful at best.

Customer service is awful! Takes hours to get help if you get it at all. Can never speak to a person!

i get bills out, that is all and if i have a problem I am on my own. I was told i could use it on my phone and we lost all the data! I am about to retire but would never recommend this to anyone.

Pros

I have used Time Slips for 30 years, it used to have support, then you paid according to the type of support. Now the price is insane and there is apparently NO support, when you reach someone they say make an appointment or go fish. I am not sure why the price has sky rocketed with NO SUPPORT at ALL

Cons

There is no longer support and too many bugs that make my bills gibberish. I love telling the client "pay no attention to the miscellaneous charge, no one knows why its there or how to get rid of it."

Pros

Timeslips generates reports with ease.

Cons

There is not a "duplicate" entry notice. If there is an invoice with duplicate entries, timeslips does not have the ability to flag that possible duplicate.

I have used sage for years, it was fine until they switched their billing model

Pros

I like being able to bill clients and manage accounts receivable and this product does it nicely

Cons

They switch the bill model and now I have to pay a yearly subscription and for a small firm I really don’t find it necessary. I only use the basic services and its a waste of money

Pros

I like it because i have been using it for years and i am familiar with it

Cons

I would like there to be an app feature for billing so that I can input my billing from anywhere. I also get regular complaints that the format of the bill is very confusing. My clients don't understand the bill and then call to get clarification which is a wasteful use of my staff's time.

Extremely frustrating when you need assistance, even when you have paid the extra fees for support services.

Pros

The billing reports are easy to create and it keeps track of the history for court purposes.

Cons

It is extremely difficult to get help when you have an issue, even when you call. I also paid the extra fees for access to support, but it has not helped at all. It is very impersonal to use the chat and it has NEVER helped. I still have the same problems and can't get them fixed because I can't get a person to communicate via telephone.

Easy to use and customize reports, lots of options. Attorneys find it easy to put their own time in.

Cons

We are on an older version that needs to be upgraded through our server, so take that into account - but even before that I think we lock up a lot.

I have worked with Sage for over 15 years. I find the software to be reatively easy for day to day use. The support has been good.

Pros

Time slips provides a reasonably easy to implement a time and expense business product. The bill prep and real generation is strong allowing for real time corrections or adjustments.

Cons

The reports are not user friendly or easy to adjust

With Timeslips we are able to track the time spent on each client. Employee productivity and client financial viability is very important to reach company financial goals and Timeslips is a very important tool to achieve that goal.

Pros

Sage Timeslips make billing and invoicing easier. We integrate our accounting and tax software with Timeslips to make our billings accurate and timely. We bill as we work.

Cons

Generally, Timeslips is an almost perfect billing software. However, I wish it could interface with the Outlook program. The issue of changing client addresses on both software sometimes could be cumbersome.

I have been a TimeSlips customer for approximately 30 years. For a very long time it was both an awesome program and a good value. With respect, it has become very expensive over the past five years.

Works well to keep track of attorney billing but would love more flexibility to design invoices and reports.

Pros

Entering attorney time for billing is simple and intuitive. Interface is unfussy and easy to navigate for the most part.

Cons

Lack of flexibility to design invoices - the design platform is difficult to use and unnecessarily complicated and rigid. Similar lack of flexibility with reports.

It does well for tracking and billing and costs by Client, but for 4,000 a year we should be able to talk to a live person for any help and issues we have.

Pros

It does a descent job keeping track of all fees and costs per Client

Cons

Lots of issues and questions about using Timeslips but customer service is no help. They want to charge for any issue even though we pay $4000 a year to use the software

I have been using Timeslips since 1992. It has kept getting better and better over the years. It is essential for lawyers like me who bill their clients for their time, and get reimbursed by clients for expenses incurred on their behalf.

I really like to talk to a human person for support - the online support take so incredibly long to get to the root of the problem and quite often I need to speak to a human after all. It is very painful.

Great! Customer service has always been great, the price is comparable to other systems, and the product is professional.

Pros

The ease of billing. The billing system is easy. Overall the ease of use for all parties, including the attorneys.

Cons

The reporting feature is still on the more difficult side to get what you are needing. If you want to look into a specific client for dates, it does not give you that option.

Ease of getting billing data for each client prepared for court. Reports are needed for court filings and they can be printed quickly.
