I love how easy it is to use and change databases. I use it for two separate companies and it makes billing breeze.

Glitches on glitches! You need to simplify and streamline this product or offer a parallel streamlined product for truly small businesses. I use only a small fraction of the services offered.

Pros

It serves its purpose.

Cons

It is glitchy and unnecessarily complex to use. It is nearly impossible to chase down any mistakes I may have made and there are client accounts which are irretrievably messed up.

The one or two times I was having problems, support staff helped resolve the problem.

Pros

Timeslips is easy to use to keep track of legal work being done, and as a good historical reference for long-term or completed work. And it is affordable.

Cons

Some of the less used input or field options are not always easy to find, but that is true of most software.

We are an all Mac environment, so had to purchase a Windows application program in order to be able to use Sage Timeslips on a Mac.

Timeslips is easy to navigate and has the functionality and reliability you need. The billing stages of Proof, Revision, Audit keep you straight where you are at in the billing process. For a small law firm, the software is just what you need and easy to train users.

Cons

Sometimes the reporting is limited, but that could probably be improved if I had the time to play around with customizing reports.

I have had a good experience with Timeslips. Changing from one year to another year was a bit frustrating but once I got used to the new product, it was good.

Pros

Timeslips is very easy to use and very easy to teach others. I can find the answers I need to issues easily.

Cons

Setting it up, but once it has been set up it is okay. Making changes to the appearance of bills or changing other aspects sometimes take longer than I would like.

History Report that makes it easy to go back and see what work was done for a client.

Cons

The size of the available space inputting data is larger than space available in history report; therefore, you have to constantly check to see if everything inputted is included in the history. Very time consuming.

Still learning the features. Mostly positive surprises. If I look hard enough, I can usually find or adapt a report that meets my objectives.

Cons

A few glitches: Twice recently we've posted fee collections that show up in management reports but are missing from the clients' history. Deleting and re-posting the entries did not help.

Pros

The ease of navigating the program and utilizing all aspects

Cons

I am unable to reprint aged invoices/billing. I can see the invoice totals in the accounts receivable listing but not the actual detail.

Pros

an undo button would be nice. Easier ways to manage the templtes of reports/invoices (without a programing degree). Reports that are more useful such as invoice date and time with totals, or better layouts of the reports that are produced.

Cons

It would be nice if there were an undo button for accidental deletions. Also, to be able to select multiple slips at a time to delete would be nice. The update of expense rates ( in existing slips) does not always work.

I love the fact that everything I need to know about the clients of our office is housed in this one application. I can find client demographic information, view their payment history, submit billing info, and more, all within this one application.

Cons

Every once in a while, maybe once a week, Timeslips just freezes, and I have to close the entire application and reopen it.
