Pros

The fact that you can use it anywhere, even on your phone, and can take it anywhere you go, and are kept up to date with all projects at the same time. We also use the Estimates/Invoices a lot, and helps us keep track of payments.

Cons

The Reports section can be set up to have more detailed in depth reports, that can be exported to be mailed to management.

Their customer service team is phenomenal. Answers back immediately.

Pros

Interface is easy to use. Plus, depending on your needs and requirements, it touches a lot of them: time tracking, simplistic resource management, scheduling, task management, project conversations.

Cons

The schedule could use some love. Ideally would like to assign multiple people to tasks, as well as have tasks be dependent on one another so timing can be adjusted.

Cons

The iOS app doesn't cover all the options offered by the desktop version and visualization on mobile devices is not always optimized

In the two months I have been using it, it is fantastic.

Pros

Really enjoy using Active Collab, a fast and easy way to stay on top of a multitude of projects within a large team. Efficient use of time.

Cons

The only glitch that is frustrating is when files will not upload and we have to email files through, this can lead to someone forgetting to upload later and not be able to access the files related to the project or the task.

I have been using Active Collab in my organization as project management tool since May, and I have been using Trello and Freedcamp before. This is the most useful.

Pros

It's easy to use, has a friendly interface/user experience, lots of useful apps as complements (like timmer, slack, or desktop app). Also you can give acces to customers to see the progress of projects.

Cons

The thing I deal with is that tasks can't be assigned to two people.

Pros

Everything is in one place. Very easy to manage day to day tasks and long term projects. It's also very convenient that you can add the hours for a certain project/task.

Cons

The fact that I can't set deadlines to subtasks. I set up projects as tasks under headings such as "pamphlets", but under the specific task, I set up subtasks such as "get translation". It would be much more convenient to have deadlines for the subtasks as well as the main task (which currently exists)

What I like the most from ActiveCollab is how easy it is to use and keep my tasks organized. I'm not missing any deadline anymore.

Cons

It could be that I still don't know how to use it properly, but what I don't like about ActiveCollab is that I can't organize my tasks by due date.

Active Collab took us out of the stone age of project management and standardized our workflow so we could scale our business.

Cons

I wish there was dependency functionality between tasks. When a massive timeline has been built and things need to move a day, it's a lot of manual effort to keep things on track.

Cons

ActiveCollab has improved it's UI but it's still kind of clunky compared to other collaboration software.

Cons

The iOS app needs some update. They feel limited compared to the desktop app and the push notification didn't work.

\- ability to connect to Google docs, attach images and link to web pages - ability to set tasks - ability to communicate with team members about projects - note feature

Cons

\- the interface is a bit confusing--it would be nice to be able to reconfigure how project info is viewed (for example, we don't use tasks and discussions much, so I'd prefer to have the Notes tab visible without having to click on it after opening a project) - a lack of folders to contain information makes it hard to find things at times (we tend to use notes a lot, but then have trouble finding where the notes are... this may be due to user error, but it would be nice to have a list view of all notes instead of just the project titles) - the fact that individual Notes change position depending on when they were edited, makes it harder to find things - formatting in Notes is not very robust--difficult to correct formatting errors when copy-pasting text

We use activecollab to manage all our projects between our studios in the U.K. and USA. It's enables us to work together smoothly and is so much easier than constant emailing. I love the ability to make our own tags to make it work for us.

Pros

Ability to customise tags.

Cons

Having to scroll to get multiple projects to load. Not being able to change tags from projects page but having to go into the project to edit. The licensing structure makes adding our next employee (number 16) a big price jump.

I like the ease of use and attractiveness of the software. It is easy to see what task needs completing and to make comments about each task.

Cons

From my experience, there was no way of accumulating all the hours over all tasks I worked on. It would be nice to automatically be able to generate a sheet of all worked hours and total time each task took to complete.

Helpful messaging/file sharing and easier project management.

Pros

Threads are really good for us to organize our projects/conversations. Google Drive compatibility has been helpful as well. I like how customizable it is for each individual user

Cons

Mine tends to crash extremely frequently around the time updates become available. I have issues with my mobile app sending my messages multiple times. I would like for it to be more compatible with gmail.

There are a few childhood diseases e.g. bugs, at some points no color picker etc. But nothing big, so it does not hardly disturb your workflow - but still a little bit.

Collaboration improvements: every one knows what we are up to in which part of the project and as a manager you can keep track of results and challenges.

Pros

Variety of functions. To-do and project management. Time tracking and invoicing and reports. For agenies, consultants and other service providers it is all very convenient. Plus it works seemed on Mac - even with an own desktop app and Mobile app.

Cons

Export functions of graphs and reports can be improved. Role system is sometimes not flexible enough, but they always keep you updated on what is going to be improved next so I'm sure it's going to come soon.

I think it may be useful to add some customisation options, the way my team use AC is each project is one of our clients and inside the project/brand we have task lists and subtask lists. It may be helpful if we could upload a logo/project image
