Pros: This software is an all in one program that encompasses 4 different programs our office is currently using.

Cons: While it has highly convenient features, it is costly in that you pay per encounter versus paying one lump sum for the program.

Comments: Steer clear of this one.

Pros: Patient entry is straightforward. Customer service does try to help when you finally get a representative. Many of their representatives are not knowledgeable but they definitely try to help.

Cons: Too many to list, I do not think anybody who wants to succeed with an EMR system should go with this product. Reporting side is horrible!! Must swing back and forth between Internet Explorer and Chrome because if you have Advanced insight it does not work in Chrome. Too many clicks, too many bugs or glitches and no support at all for MIP/MACRA. This was not designed by physicians for physicians.

Comments: I should have started with a less expensive record and upgraded when I had a client caseload already in place.

Pros: It will be a good record when I have clients and add all the extra products. Better navigation than Ipitomax or Netsmart.

Cons: Too expensive, I thought that I was buying the "add on products". The training webinars are geared for convenience of the trainers not the customers.

Pros: I like everything about the product. But what I like most is how they listen to their customers. Us. They take our ideas and wants and make them reality. They have us meet with their engineers and designers to show them what we like and what we need. They take our ideas and incorporate them into the software. Then come back. Show us what they have done with our ideas. Then make them a reality. They listen then produce. Always giving us things to make our lives easier. A clinician is the person that should be designing the medical software. Everyone wants better and bigger. That¿s what you get with ADVANCEDMD. You can¿t go wrong with them.

Cons: I don¿t know if this is really are any cons but ADVANCEDMD offers hundreds of templates. It¿s hard to know what to choose if you haven¿t used an EHR before. You can customize the templates to your liking once you know what will work best for your practice.

Great product, but limited on cost-effective options for smaller practices.

Pros: I really liked most of the features of this software. It was user-friendly, had excellent claims turnaround data and a lot of patient-interactive options.

Cons: I did not like that there was not a way for a single-provider group to adjust the price point. While the product was reasonable priced, it was still too expensive for one provider. It would be nice to have a lower starting option for providers that are new to private practice.

Cons: It has been a nightmare to work with this people. To all who want to listen.. be very clear with them about the agreement cancelation. Especially with the sellers. They will promise two months of implemental phase for free but it is going to take more than that and you will finish paying for a service you are not receiving. That happened to me and they started charging me. When I tried to cancel the contract nobody answered. So they continue charging our account. After a lot of conversation, they offered to credit my account if I continue with them which for me it was a big "bribe" Of course at this point I was not waiting for a piece of honesty from this people. We are going to be sent to collection for a 'delinquent" balance charged for a service that we didn't receive. BE CAREFUL this could be your story too.

Comments: too soon to say much , havent been fully functional yet , but seems will work well

Pros: seems will work as partners well with existing EHR, seems needs at least 6 weeks after sign up to get somewhere , but hopeful to get positive outcomes looks like . with time like in 3 months , will know more

Cons: not the cheapest. but like it that it will integrate with existing EHR , taking long to get thru process

Pros: It's easy to use and as a lot of additional functionality. It offers more than what we utilize at this point. Our rep is PHENOMENAL! She responds timely, is knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with.

Cons: Some of the add-ons are costly. Worth it, but your initial price will grow because you'll want to experience more.

Pros: Available customization for documentation. Implementation consultant did a wonderful job. Available online video training for referring back for help.

Cons: Doesn't fit seamlessly with Mac. Opening of multiple tabs between EHR and PM isn't ideal. Timeout time is too short.

Comments: This is a great system that can easily be adapted for a private practice or large agency. The price is also reasonable.

Pros: Ease of use. Self intuitive system. Completely customizable. I liked that you can use it to document and billing as well.

Cons: Customer service - not always easy to reach someone. Also some of the features require multiple steps.

Comments: Would be nice if we could write our own rules for our billing staff to run more effeciently Would be nice if the referral tab actually calculated correctly

Pros: F1 key and one rep that went above and beyond out of allllll the reps I spoke to.

Cons: If copay is applied to visit; it must be removed to apply the insurance portion instead of auto calculating The system does not allow you to attach a consistent modifier to a CPT code Test runs should have been made on each electronic payer prior to implementing system live Still unable to process TMHP and MCR RR electronically

Pros: The system is pretty straight forward and easy to use. The basic billing features (submitting claims, posting payments) are easy to do. The collections module is helpful and the authorization tracking is pretty nice.

Cons: We find that they do not have upgrades very often and do not take customer comments and suggestions into consideration very often. For being a web based system it is not the easiest to set up due to Active X controls and certain browser setting requirements. Reporting is lacking, even in basic data, unless you purchase their pricey reporting module.

Worked with AdvancedMD at my last job and it was probably one of the worst programs I've worked on.

Pros: Pro's was it was easy to understand but way to simple a cheap for anything that my providers were actually looking for.

Cons: No customization on the reports. I worked with Mercury Medical and got the best over and went to the worst with this program. Everything was sorry we can't do that or that's not available. Especially with anesthesia billing.

Pros: Best features of Advanced MD are Scheduling and Claim Center. Video Training Library is good to assist any user by displaying and explaining how things work.

Cons: Reporting module is lacking and didn't run the requested reports. Advanced MD insight is available on fee but definitely this is not the solution and their is other add on modules & features which needs to be activated for extra fee.

Pros: The best feature for me personally is the ability to work on my iPhone and iPad. I am extremely busy and not always able to sit at my desktop to work so this feature is crucial for me.

Cons: It was a bit difficult to learn how to customize templates the way I prefer but once you get the hang of it, it's fairly easy to work with.

Pros: Extensive program. Eprescription is easy, Lab orders are comprehensive. Ifax feature available for sending and receiving faxes, Customer service is exceptional, you always get a representative that will try to resolve the issue while on the phone, Trainers for the software are knowledgeable and helpful. PM and EMR communicates and easy to use both sides. Verifies insurances 2 days ahead of the appointment automatically. Patient portal is available. Billing service is fast and reimbursement are quick. RCM team is amazing.

Cons: Too many clicking between pages. Inability to check "Reviewed" box on a summary page at once, rather have to go through different tabs to check boxes. Too many "OK" to click with eprescription. Scanner only "Twain" compatible. Have to go back and forth between tabs to review PMH, Preventative medicine, vitals and care team

Pros: I like the electronic billing options, 835s, Collection Module, and denial tracker. The claim scrubber is very helpful too.

Cons: I would like to run a report by CPT, Modifier, or adjustment code and we cannot do that without purchasing a separate package.

Support is horrible and useless.

Comments: Beware Sales team is aggressive and trap you quickly. Steer clear of advanced MD.

Pros: PM System is decent and easy to work with. I like the cloud system and ease of sign in. But see the cons because these pros are not worth it!

Cons: EHR IS TERRIBLE! Support is not knowledgeable and you wait hours on hold for useless support staff. I am fed up!! Scanning is horrible and dysfunctional.

Comments: Overall, I am very happy with the PM and "2-3 out of 5" happy with the EHR. Once you become familiar with the difficult quirks, it just becomes second nature. However, what is "second nature" for me now would be appalling to someone who is familiar with a most customizable, more user-friendly EHR.

Pros: The scheduling part of Advanced MD is so intuitive. To move an appointment, just click, select "move", and click on the date and time you want instead. I like how you can customize the time intervals, color code appointment types, and assign each a default length of time. Adding a patient is easy. Making billing notes, sending messages/tasks, entering patient info, are all quick and simple. There are nice features in the EHR, such as being able to pull in medication history from a national database, look up pharmacies, customize acronyms and use pull-down menus to drop in often-used phrases.

Cons: Actually customizing the templates is quite difficult if you have not been formally trained by Advanced MD specialists, which costs extra. Trying to figure it out yourself online via training videos is next to impossible because it is not customized to your situation. Also, finding training videos to answer specific questions is also near impossible. In order to print a note out, you have to select a "WordMerge" option from a menu, then click several times until a word document opens up, which you can THEN print. Far too many clicks just to print out a note, in my opinion. I have not found a simple way to print out all of a patient's notes, so I end up repeating this process many times when an entire medical record is requested -- VERY time consuming. Advanced MD offers all sorts of conferences and trainings, but they all cost outrageous amounts of money, and most are in a location where you would have to travel to get there. I wish training was more accessible and not so costly. I wish creating templates were more intuitive and more easily done by a regular run-of-the-mill user.

Pros: my biller likes the program and some of its features , as a provider, we have not had any problems with billing relay to our EMR program

Cons: integrating w/ my EMR ; it took us some time to synch the 2 programs . Reports were difficult at first until customer service walked our biller through the procedure .

Pros: PM easy to use and EHR is customizable over all the software is set up in a easy to use and understand platform

Cons: notes are all held in EHR unless pulled into word doc that must be custom made by your practice and if you make any changes to this word doc then any notes prior to this change will not have those new changes. It is very confusing and time consuming! Also advancedmd is not reliable, they do not bill accurately, their fax system is a separate system that you have to go into and push out all the faxes that anyone in your office hit ''fax" on. I could go on and on with the cons of this system.

Every time I've called Customer Service - I've gotten exceptional, prompt & professional service!

Pros: I find the software to be comprehensive and generally easy to use. I like the favorites capability for frequently used reports. The more I use it - the more I find it can do.

Cons: It's not always easy to find information on what I need it to do - which is where the exceptional Customer Service representatives come in. They're able to resolve any/every issue I have/had.

Overall: The ability to know exactly what's happening with our claims.

Pros: intuitive layout, software reflects knowledge of actual workflows, cloud-based , best set of ready-to-use reports I've encountered. It does not require a separate IT specialist systems administrator to keep it going.

Cons: occasionally I have to hold for a while waiting for a rep on the phone, but the reps are very knowledgeable and understand our business and are able to remote in and help, which is great.

Overall the experience has been pretty good, training could have been better and longer.

Pros: Once you get used to it there is ease at working it. From other billing software that I have seen this is by far easier to maneuver through and find where and what you need to be doing.

Cons: We have had trouble, not sure if its the software or internet, but it will kick you off during the afternoon hours. This happened frequently for a while but now is down to just a few times a month. You can just be working and it just stops.

Pros: My assistant has a site to go to. And uses it daily. But she has been limited in tracking remittances from Medicare (see below).

Cons: It's delay of setup with Medicare; transferring remittance advise from Trizetto to McKesson. Currently after six months working on this transfer. Company gave clear instructions how to do it. But why am I doing it?

Pros: Have used multiple EMR's in the past and this has by far been the easiest to nagivate and use, love that I can customize it to fit my practice needs to help with smooth work flow during a busy day.

Cons: I wasn't impressed with the functionality of their immunization module which is essential for me as a pediatrician , definitely needs more room for improvement

Some support people are much more knowledgeable than others but overall everyone is helpful.

Comments: We are a fast paced Orthopaedic office with 3 surgeons and 1 PA, this system has made the office workflow between the 4 providers so much more efficient we are able to focus staffing resources in other area of need now.

Pros: From the first inquiry about AdvancedMD to contracting to set up to actually using the system, AdvancedMD and their staff have been AMAZING. The system is user friendly, easy to learn, and easy to customize to your specific practice needs. We are transferring form a less than adequate EMR system to AdvancedMD, and I cannot be happier with the decision to go with AdvancedMD. I researched at least 20 different EMR vendors and had demo's with 3 and it was apparent from the start AdvancedMD was the only choice for us.

I mostly use this to look at patient visit documentation and to upload forms

Pros: that it is connect to the practice management program. On our old system to had to purchase two different programs. One for EHR and one for practice management.

Cons: the nursing staff doesn't like it very much. They are still getting used to the change. I don't work with the Electronic Health Record side very much. I do most of my work with the practice management program.

Pros: The product offers easy navigation as well as easy for staff to scan, list and check insurance verification. Insurance verification and collecting co-pays and deductibles is an important part of a practice. Advanced MD makes it easy.

Cons: Reporting could be easier for information needed on a daily basis. I would like to be able to create reports to meet my practice's needs.

Comments: So far, the program is working well for me and there have not been any glitches. All of my billing is going through well and that is really the big thing for me

Pros: AdvancedMD works well for my needs as a behavioral health clinician managing a private practice. I am able to easily bill out my clients and document progress notes and treatment plans.

More pros than cons. Good for medium sized practice.

Comments: If it was easier to use and I could figure out the report for daily totals run on any given day like my previous PM, I would recommend this PM 100%.

Pros: I love the schedule. I like grouping families together for family balances and statements. I like having a chart files tab. Pop up memos are wonderful. Entering charges is easy and verifying insurance has been good when it works correctly.

Cons: My biggest hang up has been not having a payment report that can be run at any time. I called CS to figure how to create the report several times and have not been successful.

Pros: I like the autposting the most about this product. It is very easy to use and allows you to see everything you are posting before you post it.

Cons: The only complaint I have is when the insurance companies separate service lines and causes the autoposting feature to not work correctly.

Comments: Webinar training not appropriate for the software I bought

Pros: There is little that I like so far - The "enrollment specialist" has been unhelpful and I needed to inform them on at least 2 occasions how to do the enrollment and I know nothing about billing.

Cons: I have had to tell the software company how to set it up and I relied on google search to find the information

Pros: My favorite things about this software is how it tracks claims all the way through the revenue cycle. I also love how customizeable it is, allowing me to set it up for the needs of our specific practice.

Cons: It's not terribly intuitive. It's so comprehensive that it can be overwhelming and takes a while to get used to.

Overall: This software enabled us to bring billing in-house. We have control over the entire revenue cycle now, from coding through posting payments. This software improves our ability to service our clients effectively and handle problems when they arise.

This system is easy to use between the PM an EHR side.

Pros: What I like most about the system is everything is at your finger tips and easy to learn. I get excited when I see they have updated something and it never crossed my mind it could improve any better than what it was.

Cons: Least favorite: I wish the eligibility for insurance gave a little more details that other systems do.

Pros: User friendly, customer service is always available for help. I have had very good results with all areas of Advanced MD that I use. Our rep he is the best. Always helpful and concerned that all is taken care of in our practice.

Cons: I have problems sometimes finding eob's and have to look through several until I find the one that matches the payment that I am trying to work on.

Overall: Demographics flow over from Practice Fusion, claims/superbills flow from Practice Fusion, EOBs/ERA/s are readily available for me, system is available at any time for me to work.

Transition was pretty seamless, just stay open to change

Pros: I love that the system encompasses billing, A/R, EHR, Labs, etc into one interface. Statements are easily tracked and it's easy to keep up with claims that aren't getting paid. Payments are also coming in faster than our old system.

Cons: On the EHR side, our doctor feels like there is a lot of setup required to make the system more user friendly. Until setup is complete, dictations require some extra time and work.

Comments: I have tried to reach out to all with little success. I always am on hold for a long time have about 10 open tickets with not much resolved, looked at billing service because apparently only way for AdvancedMD to look into my system to see if it is set up correctly but the references provided to me were not happy with billing company-just another number in a large company and practice still had to fight claims with insurance company, find a different credit card processing company and do own patient collections.

Pros: Simple to use, demographic portion, old scheduler, claim inspector, had system for almost 6 years-not much better

Cons: Lack of support, reporting is awful, buttons that don't work, very expensive to practice, aggressive sales force

Pros: We love that it allows us to build our own templates to fit our practice. We are a co-occurring Mental Health and SUD program, thus we needed customizable documents and templates. The schedule function is great as well. We can set appointments with color coordination, multi-person groups, and easily move appointments.

Cons: Not a lot of templates for us to use with our SUD program (but we created them!) Hard to learn all the features of the software as there are so many.

Comments: We are an ophthalmologist office and has been working with Advancedmd for over 10 years, that speaks for itself.

Pros: Great customer service, this is a product that we have been using for over 10 years, and find that using Advancedmd has made the work flow efficient

Cons: there is a new scheduler, however it still takes you to the old system when you edit the patient demographics, I know that it has better layout, but like anything else, we have to get used to the changes.

Comments: We used it in our practice for almost 2 years. Its easy to use, but pricing was the main concern.

Pros: Customer Service is fantastic, they have multiple reps at all times to help you. Also, there is an easy way to get instructional videos on whatever page you are on that will guide you through everything. Very complete in the PM and EHR.

Cons: The main thing is pricing. I found different companies that have similar features for a lot less money.

Pros: I am a manager and therefore have full access. There are many features I rave about. The work flow ease from front desk personnel to billers to providers is amazingly user friendly. I do like that there are access limits to set for each job title within the company. The accountability of each service date is complete financially as well as historically.
The scheduling module can be as complete as you design it. The fact that we are able to customize certain areas is absolutely wonderful. The EHR portion is very complete. I like that AMD allows additional information to be added at anytime to a patients record not effecting the scheduling.
I also like that we are able to access this program on our Ipads for quick usage.
I am glad we are able to export reports to excel to manipulate information as necessary. I rave about your program all the time! I have worked with three other programs and am the primary person that hand picked your company's program for Therapediatrics.

Cons: There are always quirks in any system. REPORT ACCESS* and referral/authorization areas could use improvement. I do find that important reports for business purposes such as for finance, current active clients, marketing, HIPAA, rx renewals, referral counts, etc are not accessible unless your purchase an additional module with AMD. There is not a report that pulls all current active patients. There is a report that pulls discharged or deceased, and there should be a report that pull all active only.
The referral area does not count referrals/authorizations the way the insurance companies count them, which is critical for our industry. Every single client comes to us by a script and could be accompanied by a referral or authorization. I would like to see this area reviewed to its usefulness for our industry.

Overall: more than I expected.
The accountability for finance is complete.
The EHR area is wonderful.
Having the program available anywhere is fantastic.
PC and Mac perfect!!!!

Pros: Any time I have had an issue or a question on how to make something work for our needs the support personnel at Advanced MD / EHR have stayed on the phone and walked me through my question until I understood everything, they would then even make suggestions on how to make it more efficient. They always seem to go the extra mile every time you need them. The whole system from the support team to the software is easy to use and very multi-functional.

Cons: More detailed Advanced MD manual with step by step instruction on how to do things with out calling support, for example the exclusions tab in the Claims Center. It would be nice to have more detailed information as to how to fix the issues and when you need to delete and re-enter a charge after making corrections. The EHR is great as it is but having the ability to "lock" or "secure" an account completely, due to a patient requesting nothing be given out to anyone at anytime.

AdvancedMD has been a life saver for me as a sole practitioner. Their support staff is outstanding,

Pros: Staff support availability and skill is really outstanding. They have consistently been able to train me and repair my mistakes. It is very easy to review problems and income.

Cons: It is a bit too complex for my needs as a psychotherapy sole practice. It would be great if I could get a version that is more tailored to my simple needs.

Overall: This is the first time in decades that I have a payment rate of over 99% of services provided. I cannot believe how easy it now is to do my own billing and monitor payments.

Comments: Over the past year I have tried four different systems and looked at what i feel to be everything. This is not a perfect system but it is as close as I could get.

Pros: The customization features are where this shines. I run and alternative clinic focusing on major neurological disorders... needless to say i don't fit standard billing and patient flow. The hot key functions are lightning quick, the reports and incredibly simple to use and reproducible. The patient portal is not unique to AdvancedMD but is is simple and very useful it you actually put in the little bit of time to get in just how you want it. Oh, one the most important aspects... customer service... well above average.

Cons: The debate of cloud vs server based has good arguments on both sides. I am partial to a cloud based system. That being said... even being in a medical suite with the areas best internet service we have had a few days of bad connection and that means... sitting duck.

AdvancedMD is a great Practice Management software program.

Pros: Ease of use. Great Customer Support. I am currently seeking my degree in Healthcare Management. The assignments learning practice management software had online simulations. None of the demos or simulation exercises were as user-friendly as Advanced MD

Cons: Training information to customize templates would be useful. A task calendar, to display in one of the corners would be beneficial.

Overall: Ease of accessing patient demographics. Verifying insurance eligibility upon entering new patients, scheduling, canceling, and rescheduling appointments were made so easy to allow more time for other tasks.

Pros: Ins verification feature is quick and easy. On line chat feature is helpful, and all vendors have that feature.

Cons: Cost. Add on costs for every thing. No billing support help. They charge for that. The initial set up for master carriers had errors and they wanted to charge me to fix that. AMD wants to DOUBLE our monthly cost for adding 1 single provider that will add only 10% more revenue for us. Thus, we can not afford to add more staff PRN! Implementation was long & painful and not thorough.

Comments: For everything they will promise, pls have it in writing or else one department says verbal and no way of verifying although there is an email stating for same reason. I will never recommend this company.

Pros: software is excellent, it is interfaced with my electronic medical record so no paperwork but Kareo and other EMR are interfaced as well

Comments: We used Therapynotes prior to AdvancedMD and it was a drastic change for the better. AdvancedMD is everything and does everything that I wanted in a software program! So glad we switched!

Pros: The ability to click on one button to check insurance eligibility is amazing! It saves us a lot of time and money! The customer support is great! I could go on and on because there are so many great things about this software!

Pros: The insurance billing is fairly seamless once you learn it. The EHR has worked in a way we were hoping for. The calendar can handle expansion/growth as we are forecasting. You can easily use this for multiple locations and multiple providers.

Cons: It can take a long time to train new staff the features and functionality of the program. They charge per provider on different features, which can be a little frustrating.

Overall: Ease of billing, flexibility with the scheduler, EHR for notes. Simplified our practice operations.

Pros: 1. progress notes section can be totally designed from scratch 2. When you finally get a good support staff they are helpful

Cons: 1. Unable to bill home health re-certifications because system does not allow entry of agency provider numbers 2. Using the system for 9 months and still have not been paid on any claims filed electronically. Only paid on paper claims I printed and submitted myself by snail mail. 3. AdvancedMD entry of information in insurance and provider data base files (master files) was inaccurate and has caused a large number of problem and even paper claim rejections. 4. Takes 30-40 minutes to enter information for a patient encounter, 60 minutes or more for a new patient. 5. Looking for a new system 6. On phone line for hours in que waiting for support, after months of claims billing problems finally got an assigned support person, very nice hope things get work out!

Overall experience with AMD has been great.

Pros: Easy to maneuver around. Like that you have options to use for different tasks, such as posting payments, posting charges. I can use one way to get through fast and easy and/or
another way to be more detailed if needed.

Cons: Sometimes, not often, have some issues with the eRemittance posting payments. I really have no other complaints. We are still using the Practice Management software to date, so cannot comment on the newer version.

Pros: Good interface with our EHR and credit card payment company. Detailed scheduling and decent array of available reports. Relatively easy to use but templates must be manually entered annually, they cannot be copied for replication.

Cons: To build custom data reports requires a subscription to expensive Advanced Insight. You cannot subscribe to just one provider either; it must be for all. Customer service not very responsive unless you use chat. Roll out of new schedule did not come with instructions ahead of time so we were struggling to make it work.

Cons: The system was great when we were 4 offices. Now that we are 14 offices, the system speed is terrible. We constantly get error messages and have to restart the system. Comments: I am extremely disappointed in Advanced MD customer service. I have been using the product for about 8 years. They market the product as costing less than provider which is not accurate. I have 3 providers in my office and I have to pay /month. They admit to their mistakes in the software codes, but refuse to work with their clients when Advanced MD's mistakes cause significant harm to a practice.

Pros: It will find errors on claims prior to submitting them to insurance carriers. It allows for macro billing which saves data entry time

Cons: There are too many "add on modules" that you must purchase in order to get the functionality out of the program. There customer support is below average. We purchased an add on module that wasn't functioning properly. We noticed this 1 week after purchasing the module and made Advanced MD aware of the errors. It took them about 5 weeks to shut the program down and it caused financial harm to my practice and also upset many patients. The software was texting/emailing patients up to 16 times in one day. It was a significant error in the software code and Advanced MD refused to act quickly to shut down the module. In addition, Advanced MD continued to charge me monthly for the module even though it wasn't working correctly. They refuse to provide a solution.

Pros: User friendly, able to connect to credit card processing, able to pull great reports monthly. Ability to run A/R reports and numerous other reports.

Cons: Billing service (separate fee from software) not excellent and not on time. Enrollment service also takes some time to set up

Comments: I think this software is fabulous in a setting different than ours. We are a DMEPOS provider and we were told that the price list would automatically update and after signing the contract found out that this wasn't the case. So we had to abandon the software. I otherwise think it would be a good software for other types of medical offices.

Pros: EHR seemed easy to use and we loved that it was customizable. The scheduler was dynamic and we liked the intake options.

Cons: They could not automatically upload/update the DMEPOS Medicare price list for us, so it was a deal killer.

Comments: The past year, while billing has been excellent with this system, our providers are continuing to complain about being unable to sign notes, send claims over for billing, the system will freeze out of nowhere, and Advanced never has a solution.

Pros: Billing is easy to use and understand, most of the time. The system itself is pretty to look at.....

Cons: Advanced md is very pricy and when we do have questions and problems we wait on hold for close to an hour before anyone answers, after they answer we are put on hold consistently and usually just receive a ticket number rather than an actual answer to our question.

When it works correctly it is fine but when it doesn't support is impossible

Comments: Why can we not reach or get connected to anyone higher than a supervisor who generally just back up the support personnel instead of finding the issue

Pros: Reports are generally easy to find what I need , the system is user friendly for the most part but changes to or adding templates seems overly complicated

Cons: support is sketchy with most issues being blamed on our ISP even when we are having the same issue across multiple ISP providers , mistakes are sometimes hard to get corrected

Comments: This product is much better than the previous software we were using.

Pros: The software is very user friendly and has videos to guide you with each software function. There is also good support if you have immediate questions.

Comments: I can't say enough about AdvancedMD. The software, the staff, the users. Everyone helps one another. NEST is a great resource.

Pros: Ease of use. User friendly. Excellent help files and videos. Customer support. Easy to contact. Several ways to contact. If they don't know the answer they will find the answer. Always adding new software applications. AdvancedMD listens to what their customers want, then incorporate it into their software. The company is like a small family. They all know one another and they remember who you are. Very personable and knowledgeable about their product.

Cons: You can do so much with the template creation. It can be overwhelming. But they do have experts that will help you tweak what you have created.

Comments: They have no conception of customer service. Hold times are generally over an hour on the phone, and 20-30 min for the chat line.

Pros: They have a good billing system, it is easy to use, well organized, and has many reports that you are able to run.

Cons: As an EHR they have no clue what they are doing. The system is hard to use, is expensive, the patient portal is completely non-functional. They say they are meaningful use qualified but it is only to a very limited number of measures not relating to specialties. The cost is outrageous for the functionality you can get better bang for your buck elsewhere.

Pros: How easy the system is to use and the great customer service. I also enjoyed the transition of our old billing system to this billing system, the implementation process was smooth and very informative.

Cons: We use this system to create the second half of our payroll reports for our individual providers and there isn't an actual report available that provides the information we need. We need to go to a larger report and custom design the report in excel to fit out needs.

Overall we are very pleased with the software.

Pros: Overall we like the features the software provides . Customer services is very knowledgeable

Cons: The computer is very slow sometime going from one field to the next and the wait time for customer support is long . Even when you ask for a call back it takes I while .

Pros: That it is web based, it is user friendly, and I like the reporting capabilities. Whenever I call support they are friendly, easy to understand and extremely helpful.

Cons: I would like the software to be able to be able to merge duplicate patients. At times the system is slow or freezes. I would also like to be able to access multiple keys at the same time.

Intuitive and regularly innovating, comprehensive.

Pros: The Practice Manager and EHR are very broadly integrated, are very smooth and thoroughly comprehensive.

Cons: I have found it somewhat challenging to customize clinical templates , but there are many choices available.

Overall: The software revolutionizes healthcare documentation. You can't be without it. It's easy to learn, intuitive and expands to accommodate a wide variety of needs.

Pros: Quality is good. We have not had major issues with downtime. Sometimes it is hard to get support to quickly address a situation when it arises (don't give me a number and a promise to call back, give me someone to walk me through fixing something when I call)

Cons: Every time changes are made to the system (adding another provider's schedule), the monthly charge is substantial and frankly is too high. There should be a one-time fee to add another provider to the system because frankly the cost on your end is not that much to add an additional schedule to my system. Also in the ease of use critique above, when I need to change the hours a provider is working in a given day, it is not easy and your cust svc staff/programmers seem put out sometimes when changes are requested.

Overall: The software is like all the others on the market but is actually a little less user friendly when changes are necessary to the template. easy to use in scheduling and billing and demographic entry

Comments: Do not sign up with this company. They will take your money and never let out of your contract no matter how bad their software is.

Pros: Training was excellent. Nothing much else to say. Most Electronic billing software is very similar.

Cons: They are constantly upgrading their software which puts their system down for days. They have lots of software issues. It is not reliable. I submitted claims 3-4 mo ago which never got submitted to the anthem blue cross nor united healthcare. United healthcare has a 3mo deadline. I was wondering why I never got my reimbursement checks. It was because AdvancedMD never submitted them even though I completed the end of the day wizard. By the time I found out, it went beyond the 3mo deadline, and resubmitted them after. This cost me which made me not be able to pay bills on time costing me my practice. I am now in default all due to advancedmd's misleading software making you think everything is submitted when it it isn't. They have software issues that will cost you your practice. Also this is not for chiropractors, it is designed for MD's.

Probably a better product than the "free" EHR we were using.

Pros: Seems to have a lot of functionality- more than we are aware of. The ability to perform customization to our practice needs is very important.

Cons: The proper utilization of ALL the functionality is severely limited by the quality of the training provided with the initial purchase and set up. It seems that we have bought a product which is in a large part beyond our ability to utilize to its maximum performance.

Pros: The reporting. There just about any imaginable report needed. I also am happy withthe key accounts line. Having a live person to help me in the moment is very valuable to me, rather than logging a ticket.

Cons: The advanced insight reporting.Its not intuitive to use for custom reports.
Aldo the auditing trail. I wish there was a feature that allowed me to see the activity on each account, but it may be Im not aware of it yet.

Pros: The ease of use with this software is great! It makes training new staff members very easy. It is also easy to check if Meaningful Use requirements are being met!

Cons: There are times when you are working on a task and then the program has to restart. It happens with no notice and the information is not saved. But on the plus side it only happens to a single user so it is nice that the whole office isn't down. Also, it starts right back up again so there is little time wasted.

Pros: Responsive staff and navigational aspects of the system are useful. The Dashboard and benchmarking are what I like most.

Cons: Custom Reports and the inability to format reports in certain formats for certain programs. Some of the data needs to be changed from time to time and the export, formatting and pulling data hurts.

Overall: I am able to manage the office functions much more efficiently.

Working on AdvanceMD is pretty easy to use if you receive the correct training.

Pros: You are able to enter the charges in different ways, You can have quite a few employees working on the system at the same time. If the Insurance are set up correctly and the procedures are set up, everything can run smoothly. You could run budgets with seeing where your money is.

Cons: The claim inspector not knowing why the claim has been held. It does not tell you what the errors are, it will state within the claim there are one or more errors but it does not state what are the errors. Some times when calling they can not answer the question quickly. With what the Doctors have to do with an EMR and they want the billing together. It has taken a long time for our EMR to reach out to a doctor that will be leaving cause the Doctor asked me what are EMR is like and I could not tell him. IF we are billing we should be able to see the EMR so we could inform our groups and get them on the system instead of losing a doctor. Which is what is happening to one of my big Groups. There is not communication between the Advance MD that uses your product and how it is better or what the changes are. Not everyone can go to the yearly meetings to see the products.

Advanced MD is easy to learn. Not as intimidating as first feared.

Pros: I SCHEDULE SURGERY SO I LIKE HOW EFFICENT AND FAST SCHEDULING ACTUALLY IS. I can look up a patient in a fast effective way if they are calling regarding their surgery. I can reschedule them easily as well. I can see all the information I need quickly about a patient. Their demographics, insurance etc.

Comments: We made the transition from outsourced billing to in-house billing and with AdvancedMD the transition has been smooth! We are so glad we made the jump. We have saved money and have gained full control to see what sources are paying out and which are not.

Pros: The system is very user friendly. There are a lot of reports and screens, which can be overwhelming; however, with great customer service and implementation specialists designed to make your transition smooth, you realize how much you are really getting!

Pros: The interface looks great, everything is easy to find, and it integrates easily with labs, SureScripts, etc. Dot phrases speed up note-writing.

Cons: The telemedicine component still needs a little work. Someone has to actively watch the scheduling screen to know when a patient arrives for an e-visit. Pricier than some of the competitors.
