Very complicated, template design very difficult and poor the software is not helping you to customize your template, and you have to pay extra money to customize it and very expensive

The product is easy to use. I'm always happy with the support team although there is usually a long wait.

Cons

1.I do not like the clearing house 2. You are not up to par with PQRS. Other programs are much better. 3. Meaningful Use has to be chased after. 4. The time difference for people in EST makes for some difficulties. 5. The added costs to make this program more efficient is prohibitive.

Pros

The integration of PM and EHR including electronic claims submission and insurance eligibility verification makes ADP AdvancedMD a 10 out of 10. When a patient makes an appointment, insurance eligibility can be checked in a few seconds. The claims scrubber gets claims accepted and paid quickly by insurance companies. The PM reports are fantastic, and the customized invoices and other documents are easy to set up. The system startup training and support staff are available, knowledgeable, dedicated, and pleasant to work with. We are confident that they have the extensive resources necessary to keep up with demands of the future government requirements and industry standards.

Cons

The training videos would be better if they were divided into smaller segments and searchable for a specific activity the user would like to study, review, or complete.

Pros

Good features if you can learn to use them. Unfortunately, not the most user friendly PM system out there.

Cons

zero support once you buy. Expect to be on hold for hours. Chat support will simply keep pointing to the articles to read and never actually fix anything

Support system. Today my rep help me more than a hour to get my lab Corp interface problem to be resolve. I am impressed about her professional attitude to solve my office EHR problem. She really did great job.

Cons

I wish if from the very beginning if there would be one person assign to my office to help perhaps I would have more productive time with AdvanceMD and my patient care.

Overall we like the features the software provides . Customer services is very knowledgeable and friendly.

Cons

The computer is very slow sometime going from one field to the next and the wait time for customer support is long . Even when you ask for a call back it takes I while .

It is very medical based but we are a mental health care company so there’s a lot more on the program than we actually use. However this is vital to our company as we use it to store all our notes and data

Pros

This is convenient to use because you can use it on your phone, iPad, computer, etc. it allows me to do work remotely and it’s great. The phone version is easy to use

Cons

Right now there’s been a glitch or bug so it crashes a lot on the phones and iPads. The computer version is much harder to use.

We worked hard to solve a case about a patient whose emotions made a simple matter more complicated. Everyone involved did such a great job--utmost of professionalism. My thanks to them for making my interaction with an emotional patient that much easier.

Cons

needs more often coding updates to more diversified sections--such as patient portal; so update diversely, consistently.

My District Manager and trainer for Advanced MD always make the time for any questions I have. They go above and beyond with assist and go into great detail to explain process. Wonderful bunch of people to work with. Custom Templates are easy to make.

Cons

inbound CIE reports do not download into system in format that is clean and easy. Needs more detailed help videos.

Pros

I like the ability to do auto-posting. However, this is offered with other software. I like the way that the schedule looks, but it could use some work to make it more user-friendly. The EHR has several quirks that need to be worked on. This is not a transcriptionist-friendly software (it needs hot keys that are actually functional) We were initially told that the EOB would automatically attach to the patient's charts/charges. This is halfway true. What actually attaches to the chart/charges is a "reinvention" of the EOB that is sent over from RelayHealth and not the EOB (the "reinvention" does not look like a typical EOB and does not list the reason/denial code verbiage on it).

Cons

It is not very customer-friendly. They seem to forget about issues easily. They don't have working relationships with other clearinghouses.

Pros

Extensive program. Eprescription is easy, Lab orders are comprehensive. Ifax feature available for sending and receiving faxes, Customer service is exceptional, you always get a representative that will try to resolve the issue while on the phone, Trainers for the software are knowledgeable and helpful. PM and EMR communicates and easy to use both sides. Verifies insurances 2 days ahead of the appointment automatically. Patient portal is available. Billing service is fast and reimbursement are quick. RCM team is amazing.

Cons

Too many clicking between pages. Inability to check "Reviewed" box on a summary page at once, rather have to go through different tabs to check boxes. Too many "OK" to click with eprescription. Scanner only "Twain" compatible. Have to go back and forth between tabs to review PMH, Preventative medicine, vitals and care team

### "No Customer Support; You Are Own!"

Pros

Product is good, but outdated. Newer programs have many more helpful feature. Prior to the AMD being sold to ADP, it was a worthwhile software product.

Cons

The software support is horrible; no, actually, it is nonexistent. There is no support for the billing portion of the program. The standard answer is "Oh, we outsource the billing. Can't help you on that."

Overall, the best software I have seen and used. I have reviewed and worked with 7 software companies.

Pros

The solid base of the platform, it is customizable and responsive. The learning curve is fairly easy and yet the depth of the software continues to add more value as you learn it.

Cons

The progress notes open in word documents, not inside the software. The scheduled drugs are not able to be scheduled into the future for the software to prompt for refills.

Pros

It's easy to contact customer service. You can contact them via the online Dashboard or by calling. Their personnel are very friendly and will spend quality time trying to resolve your problem. ADP is a great company, so we thought this system would be top of the line. However, it was not software that was developed by ADP; that is my understanding. It was acquired by ADP. So buyer be aware.

Cons

Using this system involves too many tasks: clicking with the mouse, using the tab button, and also the enter key. Billing issues were not resolved promptly. We had some serious issues which were not detected by their billing company (3rd party). The percent charged for their billing services is way too high for all the time and effort our staff used to try to resolve problems the billing company couldn't resolve.

This product have the ability of completing multiple functions in the healthcare facility. Also, we do not have to continue to use an outside billing company.

Cons

There is nothing bad about the system, overall, love the product. Going from paper charts to electronic will require an extensive training for employees.

I think this software is fabulous in a setting different than ours. We are a DMEPOS provider and we were told that the price list would automatically update and after signing the contract found out that this wasn't the case. So we had to abandon the software. I otherwise think it would be a good software for other types of medical offices.

Pros

EHR seemed easy to use and we loved that it was customizable. The scheduler was dynamic and we liked the intake options.

Cons

They could not automatically upload/update the DMEPOS Medicare price list for us, so it was a deal killer.

It has both PM and EMR so there is no need of switching from one system to the other for billing or medical records.

Pros

very easy to use even for someone that never worked with any EMR system. Easy scheduling and easy to put the charges in.

Cons

Can't build more reports without paying extra money. Not enough help with correcting the claims with RCM. The statements do not include CVN for patients to put when mailing back the payments.

Pros

The mobile app for your iPhone is very user friendly and easy to check the schedule or demographics. I find it quicker to send prescriptions on my phone than any other device.

Cons

First and foremost, constantly being told to "watch the video" instead of a person actually taking 60 seconds to answer your question. Then, not providing adequate support, not enough training, too much being "pushed" onto clients who are medical professionals, not computer technicians, or data entry clerks.

Office isn't a big fan of Advanced MD. You can't customize reports to your liking and need to accept the reports that it provides.

Cons

It doesn't run batches for eligibility so we need to verify individually. The pastel colors are difficult on the eyes.

Pros

The ability for information to be entered once and pulled into multiple additional forms (i.e, assessment, contact notes, treatment plans). Also love the ability to customize the forms to the way I want them.

Cons

Steep learning curve, but they have a good system set up with assigning you a trainer and unlimited support.

Pros

I am a novice nurse practitioner who started a clinic from the ground up. Needless to say I was overwhelmed with all so many software choices. Then I spoke with an amazing young man who treated me with so much respect and kindness that I knew I wanted to go with AdvancedMD and hoped the software lived up to my expectations. For me personally, I was more interested in the people at the company and how they treated me simply because I was going to need a lot of help. The software is great, but the people who represent it really won my respect.

Cons

There is nothing about the vendor that I don't like! The people who had the task of training me are top-notch, and my salesman is unbelievable! I am new to the practice setting and am getting used to the software. There are a lot of features that I am still mastering and I don't have anything negative to say about the software. Most of the time if I think something is wrong, I find out it is my user skills and not the software.

I like the autposting the most about this product. It is very easy to use and allows you to see everything you are posting before you post it.

Cons

The only complaint I have is when the insurance companies separate service lines and causes the autoposting feature to not work correctly.
