Pros

PM easy to use and EHR is customizable over all the software is set up in a easy to use and understand platform

Cons

notes are all held in EHR unless pulled into word doc that must be custom made by your practice and if you make any changes to this word doc then any notes prior to this change will not have those new changes. It is very confusing and time consuming! Also advancedmd is not reliable, they do not bill accurately, their fax system is a separate system that you have to go into and push out all the faxes that anyone in your office hit ''fax" on. I could go on and on with the cons of this system.

### "It’s not good "

The tec support are helpful but the software does not improve. Also the representative they assign to help you is useless

Pros

If you have a very basic practice it works

Cons

Everything is an add on and if you have anything more complicated then a PCP office the features are just not there. Constant problems with connect and development just does not build features to compensate for shortcomings

### "MIPS"

I am very appreciative of the support staff but one in particular, Beth Linker. I can't tell you how helpful she has been to our company. She stayed on the phone in the past countless times until I understood all the changes and requirements for MACRA MIPs (which is a task in itself) and is available to me whenever is convenient for us. Thank you BETH!!

Pros

Advanced Support System and programs the continue to grow with our company. We like to new program to incorporate Advanced MD and Demand Force

Cons

The only thing we do not care for at this time but working to utilize it more each day is the new Legacy scheduler, we were use to the old way but will adapt to the program

Pros

1\. progress notes section can be totally designed from scratch 2. When you finally get a good support staff they are helpful

Cons

1\. Unable to bill home health re-certifications because system does not allow entry of agency provider numbers 2. Using the system for 9 months and still have not been paid on any claims filed electronically. Only paid on paper claims I printed and submitted myself by snail mail. 3. AdvancedMD entry of information in insurance and provider data base files (master files) was inaccurate and has caused a large number of problem and even paper claim rejections. 4. Takes 30-40 minutes to enter information for a patient encounter, 60 minutes or more for a new patient. 5. Looking for a new system 6. On phone line for hours in que waiting for support, after months of claims billing problems finally got an assigned support person, very nice hope things get work out!

Disappointed. Would use another provider if my staff didn't have so much time invested so far.

Pros

I'm not sure what feature I like the most because we haven't gotten to use anything after 6 months of training.

Cons

Onboarding and training process is terrible. Pleasant and professional, but only fair understanding of their own product, and poor ability to explain and follow logical work flow. 6 months and we're still not up and running yet. Repeatedly hearing: "sorry", "I don't know why it did that", "This is just a trial, don't worry about it", "let me check why that's happening".

### "Excellent Customer Support "

Pros

The ease of workflow from scheduling, check in and through to check out. The advancedMD Fax is a wonderful time saver to file all records into the patient's chart. Also, the tasks are a great way to reminder yourself for an upcoming ToDo.

Cons

We the advance insight reports, I wish I could extract out our monthly volume reports not only with the appointment type but with the CPT also.

### "Works yet aggravating & a TIME SINK for end user MD"

WEAK , frustrating software; a poorly implemented EHR ;

Pros

Theoretically it has useful features, like the embedded spell check features, possibility of creating your own templates, reminders to save work before closing a screen, uploads documents easily, and a library of template., yet its clunky and a time sink. .. though it does work. Yet, there's got to be a better way to get the job down.

Cons

Clunky, poor templates, poor User interface / User experience, time consuming templates to complete, challenging to use and make new templates, too much stupid stuff, time sink, even just scheduling is poor ly enabled and conceived; Overall, the end user physician was NOT a priority in design and use.

Pros

there is nothing to like. the practice management and EHR are separate modules and make use difficult . they charge for every little report and once you sign with them they will not let you leave

Cons

we are moving to eclinical at this time. AMD has advised us that it will take a minimum of 5 months and maybe more to to get out data. I believe this is a attempt to discourage our 15 member group to move. we are in the process of starting litigation and complaining to regulators. most horrible experience and constant nickel and dime billing experience. avoid this company

For smaller practices and family based PCPs, AdvancedMD can be a great fit but for those larger organizations, some of the tracking, reporting, and customization features will limit the usefulness of this EHR.

Pros

Screen layout is easy to understand and color coding helps with pt creation/checkin process. AdvanceMD steps you through the checking process and can help track the pt during entire office visit

Cons

Manipulating appointments and performing follow ups is cumbersome Ability to create and track multiple Docs at multiple locations is not possible, especially when Docs travel schedules changes month to month Reporting ability lags behind other top players Updates and customizations are difficult with cloud based EHR.

Pros

Billing and Accounting was more streamlined/user-friendly to my recollection.

Cons

Attempting to put in information was difficult, and navigation from day to day was effective enough to be useful but streamlining appointment-making would have been appreciated. That being said, this was well over 5 years ago and I'm sure updates have been made.

### "Decent PMS"

Pros

Good interface with our EHR and credit card payment company. Detailed scheduling and decent array of available reports. Relatively easy to use but templates must be manually entered annually, they cannot be copied for replication.

Cons

To build custom data reports requires a subscription to expensive Advanced Insight. You cannot subscribe to just one provider either; it must be for all. Customer service not very responsive unless you use chat. Roll out of new schedule did not come with instructions ahead of time so we were struggling to make it work.

I struggled with the customer service at first but after getting connected to the person I felt comfortable with the issues were fixed and the system worked well.

Pros

The system once you learn how to use it overall is easy to use. The ability to add templates and the variety of templates available to you. The price is great.

Cons

The training is very fast-paced and if you do have issues after training it can take many calls to get it fixed

Reason for choosing AdvancedMD EHR

The cost of the system and at first how easy it seemed to use. It is easy to use now it just took a lot of phone calls to get to the point we are now. I would not change now and the CSR are very good and the system is easy to use.

Cons

The billing company is totally absent! It has set us back months in establishing our nurse practitioner's practice. Please don't go there!

Overall a good system to use.

Pros

We've used AdvancedMD for over 8 years and it's been great. Very user friendly. Works well with a number of specialties.

Cons

There has been a number of system issues/bugs over the last year that have affected use with my clients. System slowness, crashing, etc. I know it was due to growing pains, but it's been frustrating.

Overall we have had great a great experience with AdvancedMD. The addition of insight has been a game changer, it should be included in the price however

Pros

Advanced Insight has given us the ability to really customize our reporting and no longer be stuck with canned reports. We now literally have access to every bit of data in the system. We can accommodate our clients obscure report requirements with relative ease now.

Cons

Price, the fact that Insight is an additional cost is disappointing. We have a large number of keys and paying for insight per physician is costly.

Some benefits include being able to see all previous visits, be connected to the pharmacies, print prescriptions from patient's EHR.

Pros

The ability to add templates and create them to our specialty. Really appreciate the ability to connect with pharmacies and pull the patient's medication history.

Cons

The software is extremely slow on most days. The patient receipt is very confusing looking. The payment line is above the charge line and does not even print the patient address, city and zip on it. There are so many steps to just print a receipt as well.

I would still purchase AdvancedMD. I would just go slower and be more diligent about understanding everything

Pros

Great EHR so far. I've only been using it a short time. Better than Misys, Cerner, ECW, Elipse. Not as good as epic (but a lot cheaper). They seem to have put a good amount of investment into development.

Cons

There are some beta functions so somethings don't work like they say but this will obviously get better as they work on it. I'm not worried about that. Major con had to do with the disconnect between the sales team and the implementation team. I bought my EHR during a "fire sale." They definitely rushed me and it was my decision to go forward. In doing so, there was definitely some miscommunication. I would ask LOTS of questions about training. They consider understanding your needs in the office as training time...I get it but that was not made clear to me. Long story short, ask a lot of questions. I don't think they were purposely misleading, i just think they know more (and therefore assume others know) about their product. I also had some communication problems with our first PM trainer but his supervisor was communicative and attached us to another trainer right away.

Pros

This product is easy to use and customer service is always available to assist.

Cons

Though no product is perfect, AdvancedMD is always working on making improvements to increase efficiency.

### "TOO MUCH DOWNTIME!"

The continued downtime is making us consider changing vendors.

Pros

The practice management features and layout are good. The EHR is okay.

Cons

Way too much downtime! There is an issue with either PM or EHR (mostly EHR), literally once a week. Issues range from loss of features and some functionality to not being able to use the system at all. For example, once we could not login to PM or EHR for over 2 hours! And when we called it wasn't just our office, it was a system wide outage.

I like the fact that I can do what I need to do quickly and everything is right there. No hunting for information to bill, it's very easy

Cons

I don't like that I have to go into a different area to change the Doctor on a claim. I wish there was a way to get rid of the different pages when charges are done.

Simply an incredible disaster. This is a lot to say considering we are a brand new practice without any rollover needs.

Cloud Base EHR. Mobile. Looks Pretty. E-fax

Cons

The revenue cycle management is a disaster. We have lost thousands of dollars Implementation is a joke... we are over 6 months in and some of our key features are non functional Customer support... pointing fingers game, let me get back to you game Sales Rep-doesnt tell you the truth. If you have that company do your RCM YOU WILL NEED TO HIRE A BILLER/CODER Re: EHR. the generated progress notes and notes to referring providers are a giant ugly PDF mess

The software works well with a multi office clinic.

Pros

The EHR side of the system is great for customization of Medical Documents. After testing several EHR systems, we were able to implement an EHR product that used the same work flow as a paper chart. The PM side of the product is great for scheduling and A/R workflow capabilities works well for our office staff.

Cons

The system has periods of slowness. The support team is not always as helpful as required to get an issue resolved.

Pros

The PM software is very complete. It does everything in a well thought out way. There is a complete set of available reports with many options for customization. And it all even works! Support is readily available. The support folks are friendly and very helpful. If the person you get doesn't know the answer, s/he finds somebody who does and gets you question answered or problem resolved. I've used other software. One was quite good. The second was not good. This one is the best.

Cons

Every now and then I find something I would like to do in a certain way and I have to do it in a different way. Or I'll find something I can't quite do. But I always find a work around. There are a couple of reports that aren't in the large available list. I have found others that will give me the information so I have never gone into making my own reports.

IT WOULD BE GREAT TO BE ABLE TO CLICK ON A PATIENTS APPOINTMENT DATE AND HAVE THE SOFTWARE BRING US TO THAT DATE IN THE SCHEDULER
