Pros

I like that the schedule is on the side and how I can pull patients from there and code and enter my charges. Everything I need on one screen.

Cons

The delay!!! Patient names Do Not 'drop off' the review list automatically. Nor do they remove from the top bar by the Dashboard. Is there an easy way to do this? It wouldn't be so bad if the delay wasn't so bad. I find myself just sitting.....waiting for the next screen. The Classic EHR was more time efficient.

I have been very happy with the overall AdvancedMD platform and compared to most PM software it is extremely easy to use and to teach staff. It is a logical software and they have some exceptional staff on board with the company..

I like that the software is web based and easy to use. We can get people set up on it very quickly. The system can do UB billing which is a plus.

Cons

There are limitations due to our specialty. It is based on office visits and scheduling versus an emergency room.

Over the past year I have tried four different systems and looked at what i feel to be everything. This is not a perfect system but it is as close as I could get.

Pros

The customization features are where this shines. I run and alternative clinic focusing on major neurological disorders... needless to say i don't fit standard billing and patient flow. The hot key functions are lightning quick, the reports and incredibly simple to use and reproducible. The patient portal is not unique to AdvancedMD but is is simple and very useful it you actually put in the little bit of time to get in just how you want it. Oh, one the most important aspects... customer service... well above average.

Cons

The debate of cloud vs server based has good arguments on both sides. I am partial to a cloud based system. That being said... even being in a medical suite with the areas best internet service we have had a few days of bad connection and that means... sitting duck.

This is the first EHR system I have used and once I learned all of the specifics I can’t think of another system I would rather use. Very impressed.

Pros

I love the ease in being able to schedule patients and be able to schedule future appointments. It is extremely easy to search for a patient and see all of their insurance information, history, and everything else I may need to schedule or fill out a prior authorization.

Cons

I would prefer if most EHR and EMR systems were connected so there wasn’t so much jumping back and forth, but when it comes to advancedMD in general, I have absolutely no complaints.

Move on. Sales tactics are more suitable at a used car lot. That deal that expires at the end of business hasn't changed in a year. Don't fall for it and demand a trial live. Save yourself the time this product has no value today.

Pros

Excellent help files though many are for previous version of product and need updating and in the end they are help for an inferior product.

Cons

There is no EHR. Don't be fooled by cartoon demos on video. Its actually just a word merge system build on Word 97 which you need to even update a template. It takes hours of tedious work on MS Word to move anything to a presentable format. Sales will tell you it does everything you need. Don't believe me or them, ask for a live trial and see for yourself. You wont get one, if they let anyone try it they would have no sales.

Pros

We had a great trainer after pronounced delay at start up. They left no time for multiple, complex issues, especially to solve problems for new users. Initial load of basic data was delayed (3 months), because the programmer was sick. ADP AMD did not compensate for time lost and was very strict about scheduling training times.. They would give no leeway or flexibility. So many of the very complex components of the software went unexplained and unreviewed at the time of training. I have no references to other users in my area.

Cons

The program is very complex and it has a very detailed complex setup. I had to download and print the manual (still at spring 2013 version). This may help me use the software better. It's a rather pricey system for a small practice (I am a micropractice internist). Help and support is difficult to get in a timely fashion, though when I get it, they are very good. They do not give you much time. For a Fortune 500 company that started off as a payroll and data processing company, that went into medical billing, then into EHR, they are a bit disappointing. Obviously, they do not have many medical people, especially MDs and RNs involved on an on-going basis. They are not actively seeking feedback from their customers, and are not listening to such feed back.

Pros

Great customer service, this is a product that we have been using for over 10 years, and find that using Advancedmd has made the work flow efficient

Cons

there is a new scheduler, however it still takes you to the old system when you edit the patient demographics, I know that it has better layout, but like anything else, we have to get used to the changes.

Should format with Excel automatically when we run the report.

Pros

reporting, Patient statement everything is at ease. AdvancedMD keep the data for us on the finger tips and do not have worry about it. Dashaboard is really fantastic and more informative.

Cons

search criteria and reporting system is really good, We can pull the report based on our requirement and criteria. EHR is user friendly and identify the information required related to patient in EHR.

Our key account manager does a great job communicating with us and resolving issues as they arise. This translates into prompt communications with our billing clients and quick resolutions to problems. Our clients appreciate this, as do we.Whenever we have issues, we do have the ability to suggest improvements to the system - which helps.

Pros

I love the user friendly practice management software. Being user friendly not just on the front office end but the back office billing end. From sales, set up, training and support they are there for you!! I cant say this about most softwares. Usually after the sale and set up you are on your own. Not AMD they want to hear from you. They are there to help that clients whether adding new services or just a daily support call. If you have a comment or idea on how something can be better they are listening. The pricing is excellent and affordable. Their pm software is robust without being complicated which speaks volumes to the medical community.

Cons

I would like to see the collections module developed more and offer some addition options. Working on old debt is time consuming in most any pm software and it pays nothing. So to make a collection module that would actually do more of that time consuming work would be worth so much to AMD clients.

I started working with AdvanceMd in May of 2016. I have never done any billing or office type job in my 12 years of working, but AdvanceMd made it look like a piece of cake. It was simply to understand and there was always help just a phone call away. 90% of the time the support team always had an answer and was quite to solve the problem.

Pros

I love the fact that AdvanceMD has so much to offer our clinic even though as a small clinic we don't use much of the offers, but it's nice to know they are there if needed. I also appreciate all the help the support team did with me last year on learning how to use the software.

Cons

THE ONLY issue I have with advance is checking liability on insurance. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, BUT withing the past two months I have had no issue.

The past year, while billing has been excellent with this system, our providers are continuing to complain about being unable to sign notes, send claims over for billing, the system will freeze out of nowhere, and Advanced never has a solution.

Pros

Billing is easy to use and understand, most of the time. The system itself is pretty to look at.....

Cons

Advanced md is very pricy and when we do have questions and problems we wait on hold for close to an hour before anyone answers, after they answer we are put on hold consistently and usually just receive a ticket number rather than an actual answer to our question.

Everything else. IT support isn't helpful. Constant glitches and technical issues. Very complicated platform. Clients getting emails for appointments they cancelled. My staff is unhappy, my administrative team hates the platform, I'm frustrated and can't wait to find another option, Covid-19 has made it difficult

You will be very happy with the AdvancedMD system. Whether you are a one physician practice or have a dozen physicians, this is a great program to work with.

Pros

AdvancedMD has a great customer service team. If you ever need to reach out to them for anything they extremely quick to help and if they need to get back to you they are by far the best customer service team I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. The sales team was also very helpful making sure that you get exactly what you need and they Do Not try to sell you on options you don't need or want. The EHR is very user friendly and can be customized to exactly what your practice needs. We like that we can access our patient records from any of our offices if needed with the web based filing system yet it is still secure.

Cons

At this point we have not found any major issues with the AdvancedMD software. If there is anything it was that it took a few weeks to set up the software and get the staff trained on the new system. That is likely going to be the case with any of the EHR setups we looked at.

While there are some outstanding aspects of this software, there are also several things I question. For example, if you scan in EOBs and want to attach them to a claim/visit, you can't. You can attach them to appointments. As our physicians see 90% of their patients in hospitals and nursing homes, this does not help. The fee schedule component is also unusable, as the fee schedules attach to the financial classes, not the individual carriers. Their EDI reports aren't available in the claim or visit. If you need print an EOB to send with a paper secondary claim, the only one you can easily print is in their format, one that I've had 3 different carriers reject. So you have to search through the EDI reports to find one that has the claim you're looking for. But each EDI report may consist of several actual EOBs, so the one you print is a mess. The two positives I can say about this software is the electronic billing, which is exceptional, and the claims scrubbing, which is also excellent. The two worst aspects of this software are the reports and their customer service. They have a huge list of reports, all of which are the same basic information with different names. They have no understanding of what Date of Service vs Date of Entry means. And there are no comparative reports at all. Of course, you can have custom reports done at a price. They messed up our Medicare EDI enrollment so times, I finally just did it myself. This is all better than the mind-numbing prospect of having to do a conversion and redo all of our EDI enrollments in a different clearinghouse.

If there was a glitch, then getting support to fix the glitch was a nightmare. When I finally gave up, manager of support services helped but not until I had 2 weeks of downtime.

The mobile app was amazingly easy to use.

Pros

My firm OBT Billing Services, LLC made a corporate decision to move all of all providers to Advanced MD over a year ago. Since the partnership began the advanced MD software product has streamlined our services and claims processing 10 fold. Many of our 40+ providers were using a third party ehr which integrated into advanced MD taking the manual labor out of our day. Our providers love the back end use of the dashboard and the thoroughness of the advanced insight reporting tool. As far as EHR goes our two largest providers groups are completely thrilled with the complete package of practice management and EHR. In my 26 years in the medical billing area I have found that advanced MD's training and support provided by advanced MD is second to none.

Cons

Quite frankly, there is not much to complain about with advanced MD. The product and the company exceed my expectations of what I look for in a partner.

I like how it has improved over time and how it continue getting better and integrating with all needed aspects

Cons

The templates setup takes a lot of work, I suggest to have predefined fields that we can combine in one template. Also it is complicated to set up the word merge correctly

Cons

customer support more likely to refer you to help on website then actually help you. EDI enrollments are either costly to have done for you or very time consuming to do yourself. most softwares include EDI enrollment in the setup at no charge
