It has streamed lined our workflow. We have all the patient information at our fingertips. Including I-Phone and I-Pad applications.

Pros

Ease of use. Clean look. Our faxes go directly into the patient's chart. The company listens to their users. They incorporate our ideas constantly.

Cons

Building the templates. They have hundreds of templates. We thought it would be easier to build out own. I wish more practices knew about them. Honestly, I can't think of any.

Pros

The Customer support has fine tuned their training to allow for ease of learning and ease of use and continued use.

Cons

The ehr side of things may be a little to reliant on the build it yourself side of things, But once you know what you are doing it becomes like second nature.

I own a walk in clinic. I signed up for their service at the end of July and they overcharged me for the entire month of July. I made it clear however when I signed up, they should start the charges in August. The first week of August they charged my account again. I kept calling them about the overcharges, they never addressed the issue. They would always say, we will have a manager call you, and it never happened. My staff tried to go through the training - they were very slow, hard to reach, have a very bad customer service and no tech support. You call, leave a message, and with all luck you will get a phone call days later. My staff found their software very complicated. The practice managment portion was difficcult to learn. They would assign you live lectures that are spread weeks apart. My billing company started to learn their system to do my billing using their software, they found Advanced MD billing portion to be very complicated and cumbersome. That is when I felt I've had enough with them. The proccess took 5 months, I cut my loss short and cancelled their agreement. This was after serveral attempts to have them be more customer service oriented and help me finishing the training. This was at no prevail. This is by far the worst experience I've ever had. Up until today they still owe me the charges for one month from the beginning when I signed up. I wrote them several correspondences, no reply or answer.

We used it in our practice for almost 2 years. Its easy to use, but pricing was the main concern.

Pros

Customer Service is fantastic, they have multiple reps at all times to help you. Also, there is an easy way to get instructional videos on whatever page you are on that will guide you through everything. Very complete in the PM and EHR.

Cons

The main thing is pricing. I found different companies that have similar features for a lot less money.

Patients cancelling appointments when they receive reminders and not being able to reschedule. This featurescannot be cancelled unless I cancel appointment reminders.

### "Good software with poor support"

Pros

The ICD-10 functionality makes it easy for billing to code correctly. We purchased this software for this functionality alone and were thrilled to use it, but have so far been disappointed by all the other hang-ups we have had.

Cons

Can never reach support in a timely manner and any more complicated issues such as credentialing, importing electronic EOBs from insurance companies directly using their integrated system, pairing with outside modules such as solutionreach, etc. has been nothing but a problem. Would like to once again switch our software. There was a time when ADMD support was decent and reachable but that time is long past.

Pros

I like the ease of getting a hold of customer service. If theres a problem, they will help. It may take some time before you get an answer but it's a start.

Cons

I had the PM and EHR with their billing service. I had read so many wonderful reviews about their billing and came to find out they weren't so great. I had many claims that sat, were sent in past the timely filing, they're not good at following thru with claims. They do not work with workers comp cases (I was informed they did). Many claims were entered incorrectly by their billing staff which caused a loss of income. They reviewed all of this and took 1 month of payment away. I wasn't paying for their mistakes!! Also.....the software I was shown in the demo is not like what I have. Thought that was awkward.

I have tried to reach out to all with little success. I always am on hold for a long time have about 10 open tickets with not much resolved, looked at billing service because apparently only way for AdvancedMD to look into my system to see if it is set up correctly but the references provided to me were not happy with billing company-just another number in a large company and practice still had to fight claims with insurance company, find a different credit card processing company and do own patient collections.

Pros

Simple to use, demographic portion, old scheduler, claim inspector, had system for almost 6 years-not much better

Cons

Lack of support, reporting is awful, buttons that don't work, very expensive to practice, aggressive sales force

Pros

I loved the linear and intuitive use. I am really unhappy with the lack of support when you disconnect with them

Cons

I vetted them extensively and was assured that all the information we inputted into the EHR would belong to us and we would be able to access it even if we changed systems. That was not true. We began using AdvancedMD in 2009 and then closed the practice in 2015. We were told we would not have access to any of the medical records we created in AdvancedMD, only to documents that we had scanned in. I was unhappy with this, but AdvancedMD declined to offer me a solution and then stopped returning my calls.

If it was easier to use and I could figure out the report for daily totals run on any given day like my previous PM, I would recommend this PM 100%.

Pros

I love the schedule. I like grouping families together for family balances and statements. I like having a chart files tab. Pop up memos are wonderful. Entering charges is easy and verifying insurance has been good when it works correctly.

Cons

My biggest hang up has been not having a payment report that can be run at any time. I called CS to figure how to create the report several times and have not been successful.

Pros

The software is easy to use. Our clinicians have found it very user friendly. The ability to do our own billing is not only cost saving, but it enhances our ability to receive payments in a very timely manner. The support staff has always been useful and their training staff is exceptional.

Cons

Sometimes it takes a little while to get an answer from support. I would like a little more prompt real time troubleshooting.

### "Advanced MD EHR review"

This software saved our practice time when it came to filling out paperwork because it was all electronically done. I liked the software program overall despite the price. I would recommend this software program if asked to.

Pros

I liked that the EHR was simple easy and quick to use. I liked that the EHR customer service was nice friendly and available whenever I needed them. I liked that my EHR implementation specialist and pm implementation specialist were readily available when needed. This software saved our practice time and was fast and didn't take too long to figure out. I liked that this software program logged you out automatically after a set time frame. I give this software a software a 8 or a 9 in a rating scale of 1 to 10.

Cons

The training videos were a lot to digest take in and remember. The price of this software I felt was a bit much in price but you are getting a lot for the purchasing price.

Pros

Responsive staff and navigational aspects of the system are useful. The Dashboard and benchmarking are what I like most.

Cons

Custom Reports and the inability to format reports in certain formats for certain programs. Some of the data needs to be changed from time to time and the export, formatting and pulling data hurts.

Not worth the money. RCM is useless, had to hire a biller anyways while paying them a ton of money. Get a different EHR for your business.

\- easy to use if you have a weekend crash course on it.

Very powerful software, excellent set-up and ongoing support.

Cons

Program is too complex for a small practice. While support is excellent, the system requires a lot of support to get started. Seemingly simple tasks are complex to execute.

Absolutely hated it. We ended up going with another practice because they never were able to give me what I asked.

Pros

Pros are it is very customizable if you know how to code and create a system for yourself

Cons

They don’t know dermatology at all. Simple stuff we asked was super complicated and we never got what we truly needed. Nothing was built in. It’s more for scheduling and not for EHR.

Pros

The product really does cater to the advanced biller. Many of the features in AdvancedMD are really terrific for those individuals who have lots of experience in medical billing. I can use the reporting features to export lots of different data. I would like to see some additional reports, but I find the reporting to be pretty user-friendly. I also like the ability to build the letter templates for patient billing and insurance appeals. I love the fact that AdvancedMD is always updating the product to stay current with all the changes taking place.

Cons

First, I do not like the eligibility feature. It is too expensive and not as good as some other eligibility modules I have seen. It does not provide the information that I have seen in some other practice management software products, and it goes down too often. AdvancedMD needs to make some changes in this area. I do not like the inability to see the patient history when in the charge entry screen. I am not happy with the inability to have AdvancedMD open more than once on one computer.

Pros

The product is put together very well, with a huge array of capabilities. One can easily get from one field to another. The vendor has a nice woman who was helpful to me in one-on-one training. Their iPad app was ahead of others at the time I signed.

Cons

This product is for very large practices only, although they sold it to me, a solo practitioner. My practice was stressed multiple times while researching their product. Still, they were more interested in a sale than an appropriate fit. I find the vendor not to be concerned with the personal aspect of the relationship. There were strict timelines on training (even when the ADP staff was unavailable because of ADP scheduled training, my time was not extended). The person overseeing my training was to call to me and decided on her own that she would email every week instead, and then she went two to three weeks being out of touch. They have a lack of respect for my needs and abilities, as well as trying to pass over things that large practices will miss because of large staff.

For everything they will promise, pls have it in writing or else one department says verbal and no way of verifying although there is an email stating for same reason. I will never recommend this company.

Pros

software is excellent, it is interfaced with my electronic medical record so no paperwork but Kareo and other EMR are interfaced as well

Cons

support - each department is very disconnected and support is a nightmare. One department promised something and the next department has no clue whats going on and its up to you to prove everything again

This software needs a lot of help! It's an awful program that will frustrate you from day one! I would recommend doing your homework and finding an actual EMR that works efficiently and more simply. It's so complicated, time consuming and inefficient that we are going to have to switch! Trust me, look elsewhere.....it will be worth it!

Pros

Not much good about it at all.

Cons

Scheduler is terrible, patient billing, receipts, statements are even worse. It takes our doctor double time to do charts now which isn't cost effective! Nothing is easy let just put it that way!
