Pros: Dayforce is always adding new features and modules - plus improving on the existing ones. May modules are customizable.

Cons: Customer support is generally very good, but if there is an urgent need for a top level support person, it can sometimes take a while.

Overall: It's no helpful to have all our employee information and payroll in one place. Really cuts down on the paperwork and need to integrate with other products.

Pros: Best thing about Dayforce there is no interface. Everything is done in real time. I have the ability to do a lot more reporting wise

Cons: My cons is when there are new upgrades they some time effect other things in the application which can be annoying at time. We usually have to work around this until there is a fix

We went live with Time & Attendance 9/2016 because of the scheduling benefit, we were impressed with the product.

Pros: I manage the employee benefits for 2600 employees. Managing benefits including file feeds and billing if VERY simple. PPACA reporting is on point!

Cons: Reporting is challenging. An administrator Topic package that includes all topics. Too many topic reports require many reports to be merged to get the info you are looking for. No employee home page.

We switche over to Dayforce HCM in Dec of 2016 and have never looked back!

Pros: Everything is in one platform, self-service, paperless, could based, intuitive, and easy to navigate.

Cons: No huge cons. Everything that was promised was delivered from implementation to current time. I would just advise anyone switching systems to test as much as possible before going live.

Pros: Dayforce HCM has been an effective single solution for us. It has allowed us to leverage technology, replacing manual paper-based processes. The PPACA module has effectively allowed us to remain compliant with ACA. The mobile app is also widely used by our nearly 2000 associates. Lastly, Ceridian continually seeks to improve the product, often leveraging customer feedback.

Cons: Ceridian Dayforce HCM has experienced continual growth since we partnered in 2013, resulting in internal movements with our support teams. This movement has created relearning at times for those changes.

Pros: We love that our HR, Payroll, Recruiting, Benefits and Scheduling needs are met with this product and they are all in one place which as helped us go from being 80% paper-based to less than 10%.

Cons: There isn't much to not like about this product but I do wish there were a couple additional features on the mobile app like being able to review and approve your timesheets.

Overall: We went from being an 80% paper-based company to less than 10% because of Dayforce.

Work with dayforce for tracking hourly employees.

Pros: I liked the ability automate many of the different pay rules depicted by state laws such as CA's sick time and overtime within the time and attendance. It is easy to navigate and touches on all functions of HR and payroll. We used the HR piece to do our new hires, benefits, time and attendance, along with payroll was pretty decent. The import process within Dayforce was pretty smooth to work with, considering all the types of pay data that needed to go in. Overall I would recommend for anyone who wants to go automated and cut out the manual work. I was impressed even with the retro calculation feature we used to do retros.

Cons: I don't think their was anything I disliked, other than having to upgrade every few months to the next release to ensure functionality and maintain success. Otherwise no cons, but cost maybe.

Pros: The personalization (photo, bio) features in Dayforce allow our staff to connect with others that they may not have met, and also conversations in performance management allows instant feedback between supervisor and employee.

Cons: Any software conversion is time consuming and challenging but once complete, you're happy it's done!

Good experience Dayforce was used for scheduling at a company I was a manager for.

Pros: I like that its easy to learn. Your staff can log on from home and get quick up to date changed with their schedule. I also like how each person can go in and update their availability. When you are managing a retail store with college kids it can be a hassle to get everyone's schedules down especially once exams start. Dayforce takes a lot of the guessing and extra hassle out of scheduling.

Cons: It can be a bit confusing with the colors to see what you are looking for with ease. Can be a bit slow when you are trying to enter a lot of information in at a time.

Overall: Quicker ease of access scheduling. Less hassle for the managers as well as the employees. You are also able to use it from home or with the phone version. I did find it was slower on the phone and not as user friendly as just using it on the work computers.

We use this software for HR purposes at work, it works as expected.

Pros: I like using Dayforce, it works the best it can for how we use it at my company. I don't dislike anything so far.

Cons: It's not the software I don't like. What I don't like is the my company only utilizes a small portion of Dayforce and then uses other software for things that Dayforce can do as well. I say, let's stick to only software for multiple functions but I don't make the calls on that.

Pros: We transitioned over to this HCM a couple of years ago. For the most part it is serviceable, but at time it has it's limitations.

Cons: The updates can be few and far between. The customer service could be more responsive. Compared to others it can take a lot of clicks to get to what you need.

Dayforce is helping us bring it all together!

Pros: Dayforce is extremely customizable! It truly fits the needs of any company; Dayforce fits the company and is not like other HR/Payroll systems that require the company to fit them. One of my favorite things about Dayforce is that you never have to be done configuring the system. Of course, you aren't required to make on-going configuration changes, but for me, having the ability to change a workflow or a scheduling policy or rule is amazing. As we make changes in our organization we can make changes in Dayforce that keep meeting our unique demands.

Cons: As a newer user of Dayforce, I haven't come across any real cons so far. Very happy with our choice to go with Dayforce!

Pros: There are many pros to Dayforce. It's eliminated around 100 spreadsheets, automated timekeeping and attendance, simplified and streamlined our HR processes and brought our department into the 21st Century. We've been able to save time and save money since its implementation - removing the need to employ an additional HR team member. It really is an amazing application.

Cons: Sometimes reporting can be complicated - but one we've got the hang of it, it works really well and is a very robust system.

Pros: Using the software basically only for vacation tracking.
Nice GUI, yet many screens with functions not in use.

Cons: As a cloud service, software should not be that slow...
Loading... Downloading Web Components... Initializing.... Loading again... after 2 minutes you finally have access to the software and all you wanted is to fill in a vacation day. Hello, this is 2018!

Overall: My only formal way to post and track vacation days for myself and employees.

Pros: The software is User-friendly for employees and the functionality is essential is providing LIVE accurate data.

Cons: My least favorite since GoLive (2014) is the complexity of the reporting module. AdHoc reports provide immediate data for internal questions and immediate auditing. The TOPIC are very difficult to understand and create.

Pros: The thing that I like the most about this program is that it is super user friendly, and it is available as an app.

Cons: Uploading information to the time clock is not as fast as I would like it to be, causing some errors.

Overall: Ability to stay up to date with all employee files and requests.

Pros: I liked being able to see my schedule and paychecks right on my phone. When working multiple jobs being able to do these things on the go is crucial!

Cons: I had a bit of trouble with updating my availability/requesting time off. I eventually figured it out but there seems to be a few ways to do it!

Pros: Dayforce is much easier to navigate from an end user perspective, so training the field on authorizing schedules, time sheets, time away from work, and any kind of employment form (promotions, terminations, ect.) was successful at my organization. I think having a system that is simple to use has really helped us to increase our payroll accuracy across the organization since the field is more willing to be engaged.

Cons: The fact that some of their modules still use MS Silverlight, which means my browser choices are limited when working in the system.

Dayforce allowed my company to integrate 5 systems into 1!

Pros: What really stood out to us is the integration. It is a time saver. We went from five main systems to one.

Pros: Dayforce is highly configurable. We are a mid-size manufacturer with plant's in 3 states, 2 different pay frequencies, and 4 different bargaining agreements. Needless to say, we have a complex payroll. Dayforce easily handles our complex pay and benefits structures, and it is easy to make changes each time there is a new bargaining agreement. Customer support has gotten much better since they changed to a the 'pod' model - now when we call or open an online ticket, I get someone that is already familiar with our company and our Dayforce configuration.

Cons: I would like to see them offer more in-depth training for those of us that are HRIS administrators, so that we could do more of our own configuration and have less billable projects. The platform runs slow at times. Only really a problem on payroll processing days.

Pros: The all in one system is great and convenient for the daily payroll tasks. The App makes life easier for everyone in the business who don't seat in front of a monitor everyday.

Cons: Customer service can sometime be not useful on level one. Not have the capability for our IT staff to access the background data.

Comments: Good company overall

Pros: Very easy to use with minimal problems. At first there were issues directly after implementation but now little to no issues at all. Just improving as we go along.

Pros: It makes my job fun and saves me time. My company has saved hundreds of dollars from our previous system. I love that you can book time away from work in Dayforce and an email will be sent to the manager for approval. I love that the program does everything I need for payroll and it's compliant with all current legislation.

Cons: My least favorite thing about Dayforce is they are weening themselves off of Silverlight. I know this is necessary as Silverlight is no longer being supported by Microsoft. It did have better graphics with Silverlight, but it hasn't hurt the functionality by going to HTML.

Pros: I really the email notifications that it sends when someone has requested time away from work. It prompts you 2x daily that there are requests awaiting your approval

Cons: I am not a fan of the reporting functions. There are to many places that offer reporting, I prefer all reports set ups to be in one central location

Comments: Unless you detail out EXACTLY what you expect from them as far as implementation help and training BEFORE you sign on the dotted line, expect a nightmare.

Pros: The system itself seems pretty solid and capable of doing most of what was shown to us in the dog and pony show we saw before we committed, if we could just figure out how to use it.

Cons: Implementation assistance and training was just enough to get us to produce payroll (mostly). After that, we got tossed over to "regular" support which is HORRIBLE. Response time for support questions is longer than any sane person would think is reasonable and usually the responses don't even come close to answering the question you submitted. We have been on the system for 3 months now and we still don't now how to use all of the modules (but of course we're paying for the whole system). I no longer even get responses back from our so-called implementation people.

Pros: Dayforce has an app for my iPhone that allows me easy access to my account. I'm able to clock in or out without a hassle, and I can check and edit my timesheet to reflect the correct hours I worked. It also allows me access to my earnings and time off requests, so I can check things even when I'm not in the office.

Cons: I do wish it had a way to log in by memory instead of making me type in my password every time. It also sometimes rounds my time to the wrong interval (ex. clock in at 10:07 should round down to 10:00 but it often puts it at 10:15 instead).

Overall: Having everything in one place has made managing my work details much easier, especially with the use of the app. I don't need to email HR as often to ask about my benefits or earnings, and I was able to access my end of year forms to do my taxes even before it was physically mailed to me.

Pros: Ceridian was able to customize the solution to fit my unique business needs. The other HRIS providers were not willing to make changes in their offerings and instead pushed an "one size fits most" product. The solution has automated our payroll, recruitment, onboarding, HR, benefits, document management, performance management process and more. Ceridian has now become a daily stop for our employees and has significantly reduced the administration work for our payroll and HR teams. Whats more, the product has enhanced our security and privacy by transiting to a secure software program instead of using paper and excel spreadsheets.

Cons: Turn around time for customer solution tickets could be improved. Sometimes when little things need to be tweaked the customer needs to submit a ticket to their client solutions team. On average the turn around time has acceptable but on occasion could be faster.

Pros: We went from 4 systems (with multiple platforms each) to ONE!!! It has made out life so much simpler.

Cons: The easily accessible features mean the employees have more of an ownership to their own profile which makes them less frustrated because they don't have to call HR or Pay to make changes on their profile.

Comments: Overall, this is my favorite payroll and benefits management software that I have used throughout my career. I hope that our HR department feels the same.

Pros: As an end user I really enjoy Dayforce HCM. The software is very user friendly and easy to learn how to navigate. I like that it has straight forward buttons/menu options that clearly designate the areas you are trying to access. i.e. Benefits (all of your benefit documents and management), Careers (opening job postings), Earnings (payroll information) etc. Requesting time off, accessing paystubs, and messaging supervisors is very easy.

Cons: The least desirable quality about this software is that it takes a long time to load. For employees who are hourly and rely on it to manage their timesheets, this presents a problem. If you don't have it loaded and ready to go at the end of the day, other employees can end up waiting 1-2minutes for your timecard to load, while they are already clocked out.

Pros: Once we went live on Dayforce is felt like we left the dark ages for the electronic age! No more paper times sheet which several people handled, the employee punching the time clock, the supervisor totaling hours, identifying how many at regular pay, how many at overtime 1.5, how many vacation hours, how many hours against sick time, where were they transferred, etc. Once the supervisor wrote all of this, then someone in HR got to key this information into a "Green Screen" and the file was uploaded to a payroll system and you hoped the data would flow though without errors or dumping. With Dayforce, the employee now requests time away in Dayforce, the supervisor either approves it or denies it, if approved the time is automatically placed on the timecard and the entitlement is deducted, both the supervisor and the employee can see the timecard each and every day and if any questions arise, they are taken care of before running payroll. In addition, our employees no longer need to complete a form to turn into HR for changes in their information. Our employees change their own information in Dayforce for tax forms, address, email, phone numbers, emergency contact, etc. Company issued property and training records are all housed in Dayforce. We recently implemented the recruiting and performance module. Dayforce keeps enhancing the product.

Cons: I do think Dayforce can improve upon the Recruiting module. I do realize they have an upgrade coming which does show it has upgrades in the recruiting module. I would like to see them provide the functionality to schedule interviews without Outlook without leaving Dayforce. I would also like to see them provide more standard reports for those client who must write an Affirmative Action Report. I don't feel I should be required to create my own report to pull the required data for this report.

Longtime partnership continues to improve through Dayforce!

Pros: Flexibility! Dayforce is easily customizable to accommodate our business needs as they change. As we continue to add modules, our processes increasingly become more efficient, effective and accurate. Simultaneously and seamlessly the system streamlines all of the data, whether it's HR or Payroll, in a functional manner. We've reduced the time to process payroll by 70%! We appreciate the partnership with Ceridian, a relationship that has lasted over 29 years!

Cons: I would like to see quarterly regional meetings to meet other Ceridian/Dayforce clients, gain insights and share ideas. The only time I get an opportunity to meet and collaborate with other users is during Insights and I seem to always miss the opportunity to meet other users. I would like to see a price break for non-profit companies. It's important to retain our services but we are limited in the dollars we spend annually.

Pros: The payroll function is very intuitive. It¿s easy to get through and the canned audit reports are very useful. Timesheets and auditing is simple as well. It¿s not rocket science when training in new employees and managers.

Pros: I like the all in one system concept. I had to shift my mindset as our previous system interfaced several products. Updates and changes in Dayforce happen as soon as the button is clicked. What's really great is, the system allows several pay cycles to be open at the same time. This allows changes and updates to be made daily for different cycles. Gone are the days of making payroll changes a few days before pay day. From a Benefits perspective, once a new hire has onboarded, they can immediately select their benefit elections. They don't have to wait until their information is pushed to another system. We look forward to implementing Recruiting and Performance Management this year.

This robust all-in-one HRIS is the best system out there.

Pros: We love the SourceTax and single database approach, and reporting has been very flexible. We also enjoy the way that retroactive changes process in the system and the easy of viewing and calculating the upcoming payroll file for review.

Cons: We've had some issues because we didn't start our training until we were already in implementation, and we made a few mistakes that we're stuck with at this point.
They frequently release updates, many based on customer suggestions, which is good, but sometimes the new releases (two per year are mandatory) cause unanticipated issues in previously functional areas.

Overall: Single database, tax processing and management, ease of updating employee information, even backdated changes

Pros: Very intuitive and easy for the end user to navigate; overall, less clunky than ADP. Even people who aren't familiar with software or computing for that matter can figure it out easily. The app is great as well and a necessity due to our mostly mobile workforce. Pay stubs and forms are clearly organized, labeled, and the graphs are a nice addition. Good value for money in comparison to other tools.

Cons: Sometimes it's confusing to have different login pages for SSO vs. regular login. Also, the SSO portion is iffy. At the end of the day, this is highly confidential financial information - perhaps SSO isn't the best method if someone could very easily be on someone else's computer and have access to their compensation information by clicking one link on a company intranet.

Comments: Make the decision to choose Ceridian Dayforce! It's worth the investment.

Pros: Dayforce HCM is a one stop shop to handle our robust business needs. We have over 2,500 employees that work multiple jobs at multiple locations and needed a system to handle our Timekeeping, Scheduling and Payroll alongside our Recruiting, Onboarding and Performance Management needs. This system has great reporting features and the ability to create custom reports that meet specific business needs. Dayforce HCM also has the ability to create several different roles with different permissions and this functionality is a plus for the different management levels we have. I also love the workflow features throughout the system and the ability for forms to be created and routed to the appropriate approver to reduce some of our manual processes.

Cons: A new system always requires training and Dayforce HCM is the same. There is a plethora of training that should and needs to be completed to be able to fully use and appreciate all this software has to offer. Great news is Ceridian has a comprehensive training site which houses videos, instructor-led courses, MyPath (hands-on) training, etc. which will be great preparation to use this system.

Pros: It is well organized. It is easy to navigate through the different screens. I usually do not have any trouble locating anything I'm looking for.

Cons: It seems to load very slowing when logging on. When dealing with a time clock, it would be nice to have it move a little faster. Pros: Like any software implementation it was not without hiccups. The Implementation team dealt with it well and we were able to stay on track and on budget.

The single database approach streamlines many processes and makes life much simpler. Processing payroll is a breeze.

So far I would recommend it to anyone.

Cons: There are some settings that are difficult to configure to match our business, but we were able to find workarounds for nearly all of them that met our needs.

Overall: Simplified Human Capital Management means I get to spend more time on value added, less on data management.

Pros: We like the total integration of the Dayforce solution. The real time feature is exactly what we were searching for. Ceridian is constantly upgrading the features. This is a huge advantage with the emerging workforce we see today.

Cons: The implementation process is very time consuming, but well worth it in the end. We are still working out some issues that were not set up properly, but gaining ground each day. Communicate constantly with your implementation team to ensure you thoroughly explain your expectations and needs.

Pros: Dayforce allows us to have 1 system where our employee records are linked and in one place. Our systems before were so dispirit. Policies were difficult to manage and each department was able to make up their own policies. This allows us develop one set of policies for the company and implement them.

Pros: They provide all your information in one place. It's easy to see how many vacation hours you've accrued or how many sick days you have remaining. Additionally it's fairly easy to adjust hours worked as needed within their software. It works very well with our internal clocking systems keeping everything aligned and easily understood by the employee.

Cons: Some functionality leaves a little to be desired. It times out and will not refresh, you must click on save to keep any changes but it's easily forgotten and/or missed by employees and the different clock in/out codes can be confusion. For some reason starting the work week on Sunday creates edits intended for Monday appearing on Sunday requiring further review and editing.

Comments: I would not recommend Ceridian Dayforce as a small company. Any pros are provided by all other similar systems still in dispute on credits to my account.

Cons: don't use this product. The sales staff tells you how great it will be, then when they fail to deliver in implementation they never get back to you. My implementation team pushed me into support as soon as the timeline for implementation was done, however we weren't finished. After 5 months I gave up on support. Dayforce just basically became a giant time keeping program. * read fine print in contract, they added fees not in the quote. * sales staff "bended" the truth all over the place * promised trip to Vegas for their convention, never heard from my salesman again * implementation never completed, took two calls and two emails over 5 months to a vice president before any concerns addressed. * still two quarters later not fully operational * website works extremely slow and cumbersome *implementation consultant was unfamiliar with US rules and practices

Pros: I work in the payroll department and I am very satisfied with the Payroll and benefits modules. I am pleased to see all of my payrolls for the whole year, to be able to calculate and make changes for the whole year. The benefits module is very helpful for employees to see the amount of their life insurance, health and dental benefits. The vacation and sick days are also online, employees can see their balances as of today and also in the futur. After some training, I am much more comfortable using the Reporting module, I can build reports to our needs.

Overall: Our vacation and sick time and are recorded and approuved online.
Being able to calculate payroll in the present and in the futur.
Managers are able to view their employees hours and track sick and vacation time.
Timesheets are done online, no need for paper timesheets.

Comments: There is a lot of potential with this product, however the most useful features are limited to those with universal access; most managers at my workplace do not have the authorizations to access advanced reporting that would be extremely helpful. Pros: I love that it is one solution. No more imports, no more worries about data dropping off. The test portal allows us to set up new deductions and earnings, and test them before putting them into production. The future dating feature works really well. It allows us to enter increase early and test them in a future payroll to see how the employees pay check will look, and gives us more time to audit our changes thus relieving some of the stress that comes with year end. The education portal is a big plus. It allows us to learn at our own pace, and to schedule that classes that are helpful for each administrative role.

Overall: Before Dayfore, we were using three different systems. One for payroll, one for time and attendance, and another for HR. We had to import data from one system to another so there was the potential of data dropping off. We were able to combine three systems into one with Dayforce. Since Ceridian uses one solution, once an employee is hired they are visible in all parts of the system immediately. No more waiting for overnight updates. Ceridian cut my payroll processing time by 40%, which allows me more time to audit my work. There are some great audit reports built into the system, which I run every payroll. They point to problems with can be corrected before we finalize for the week. The ability to run wage and tax registers, and W2's anytime of the year, allows me to fix any potential problems, which in turn make year end a breeze. My employees now are able to manage some of their own data, which alleviates the burden off HR and Payroll and allows the employee to update their records when it is convenient for them.

Comments: Overall I am looking forward to using this platform for all our payroll and HR functions.

Pros: I like that the system is intuitive and it is easy to navigate and use which is key for any HCM. The reporting options are really great and the pre-loaded forms will be a big time saver for business analysis.

Cons: The implementation phase is very laborious and often because so many functions are going on at the same time it makes it very challenging for an organization. Some of the forms aren't editable by systems and there are options that would be a major benefit to have listed. Example Hiring Form should have the entitlement policy option.

Pros: I like that it's an integrated solution that works in real-time. Ceridian is well-organized in their approach to implementation.

Cons: The benefits administration system is not as intuitive as our last system. But it does allow the user more independence in administration. We don't have to rely on bad service to wait and wait to get a problem solved.

Pros: We love that we have been able to go paperless in all of our HR processes from application to termination. We no longer use paper apps, compensation change forms, benefits apps, or onboarding documents. Everything is paperless. We can look in the system and see where approvals are sitting. This has made our HR flows and processes so much easier and efficient. We also love the one employee record. From application to hire we only have to enter their information once. We have significantly cut down on our errors and the spreadsheets we used to keep to follow all of our processes. Our Onboarding is streamlined and professional. New hires can fill out all of their documents prior to the first day of work, so that we can maximize our first day with them. And finally Support. The Support Team is world class. I can't speak highly enough about the responsiveness, expertise and efficient way the support team works with their clients! Ceridian gets an A+ for their support.

Cons: Prior to the newest upgrade to 53, Reporting was a bit clunky and difficult to understand. As a busy HR Leader, I don't have extensive time to take a bunch of classes to learn how to run reports. They need to be easy, user friendly and intuitive. Prior to the upgrade they were not. The new Reports module has come a LONG way in improving this. The reporting module is now in HTML and much easier to understand and use. Other than that, I cannot think of one other Con to the Dayforce system. I came from a very different provider that I was extremely displeased with, so it makes it a little more challenging to find Cons. I am very happy with the decision to move to Ceridian.

Overall: HR efficiencies, ROI by 60% over our other provider in the first month and a support team that truly supports their clients efforts. I feel like we have gained a partner not a vendor.

Pros: All-in-one integrated system. Easy to use for employees, yet sophisticated enough for power users to customize the back-end for our needs. I like their road map for the next couple years. They've made great changes to the interface as well as added new features. It looks like that trend will continue, which is exciting.

Comments: We were able to go from having seven different systems for payroll, benefits to only one. We have automated many of our processes and reduced/eliminated most of the spreadsheets we are using to track information as we have an actual system wherein to track this data.

Pros: One single application, totally integrated for payroll, benefits, HR, recruiting, performance management, etc. We really like that the system is easy to configure. Dayforce itself has come a long way in the 18 months we have been a customer--they have upgraded the platform several times. They are good listeners and seek to improve all the time.

Cons: We have struggled with carrier feeds. Dayforce is growing at such a rapid pace that it seems like the customer support side has been slow to catch up. In the 18 months we have been with Dayforce, we have had 3 customer success reps. The turnover (on their side) is a little worrisome.

Dayforce is a great product that has simplified many processes.

Pros: User friendly program makes life and workload manageable. We have gone from having boxes and boxes of backup to having almost none.

Cons: Not knowing enough about the background steps to make changes needed within the system confidently. There are many different screens that make up the background processing that I feel can be redundant but not being confident where all those places and screens are makes me hesitant to make those changes.

Pros: One of our major wins was the consolidation of HRIS, Workforce Management and Payroll under one roof with one employee record. We were able to move Canada, UK and US employees into ONE SYSTEM. Huge win for our users and technical team.

Cons: The implementation was complex and our team struggled throughout the phases. We required strong project management resources on the Ceridian side, and that role was not a strength. We went through multiple Ceridian PMs and eventually hired an additional PM for the client side. The implementation team approach to certain functions - specifically entitlement setup - did not align with best practices endorsed by the Ceridian support team. Unfortunately we did not learn this until after go-live. We ended up reworking Entitlements post implementation.

Comments: In my experience, the strongest determining factor of successful utility of Dayforce is the knowledge of the administrator. Logical and intuitive, in the hands of someone who understands HRIS, the potential of Dayforce to drive business efficiency is endless.

Pros: The breadth of their features and the configurability offers endless solutions for businesses to drive best practices and innovation.

Cons: Sometimes modules are rolled out without being as "polished" as I would hope. They seem to roll out basics, relying on future upgrades to complete the more functional pieces.

Pros: Payroll processing is by far the easiest on Dayforce than on any other system. I particularly like that I can run a processing at any time to provide financial data to the Accounting Departments when asked.

Cons: At the quarter end, when we have to open an Off Cycle payroll to enter termination checks or misc earnings after the final regular payroll and the end of the quarter, the Off Cycle is missing a feature that allows for you to "Pay Out To Date" an employee. The problem then occurs that the hours or generated earnings being paid are not marked as paid so there is the chance that they will import to the next regular pay cycle to be paid again.

Overall: More efficient than previous software used

Employees dislike this over their previous ADP time tracking software. Too difficult to use.

Pros: The software itself is pretty comprehensive. There are many options and it keeps track of daily time, time off requests, sick days remaining, vacation remaining, etc.

Cons: Some employees, like me, who punch a clock find it difficult to use as far as approving "time", requesting time off. Often takes too long too load before punching in. A common complaint is punching in late when the employee was actually early to work. This seems to be computer dependent. Newer computers having little to no problems punching in while folks using older computers have the software loading too slowly issue.

Overall: None over previous software. I do believe that it is better for the people who process our payroll, but for us users like me (time clock punchers), it is more difficult than our previous software.

Comments: Dayforce works great under the right circumstances, but they still have some work to do to gain a bigger market share.

Pros: Dayforce HCM (DF) is a great product for payroll, which is the company's core offering. They have incorporated other HRIS modules into DF, some of which work extremely well. Dayforce does a great job of using only one employee record for everything, so there are no internal interfaces, and all changes are made real time. The company keeps up to date on all regulatory changes, and is quick to roll out updates and fixes to the software, which are seamless because they happen in the cloud. Works great for both our US and Canadian populations.

Cons: Dayforce does not process payroll in Mexico, so we cannot use it for the sole solution in North America. The reporting on data is sometimes difficult; the tool is pretty robust, but some common-sense reports are almost impossible to build, due to the cumbersome process of linking data fields together. This is getting better, but still lacking. Support response times are usually timely, but support personnel are not always knowledgeable enough to fix the issue right away. Any extra work on the product is always billable, and never cheap. Due to the design of the product, any changes to the company's organizational structure will almost certainly result in a long, expensive project to update the product.
