Pros: I work in the payroll department and I am very satisfied with the Payroll and benefits modules. I am pleased to see all of my payrolls for the whole year, to be able to calculate and make changes for the whole year. The benefits module is very helpful for employees to see the amount of their life insurance, health and dental benefits. The vacation and sick days are also online, employees can see their balances as of today and also in the futur. After some training, I am much more comfortable using the Reporting module, I can build reports to our needs.

Overall: Our vacation and sick time and are recorded and approuved online.
Being able to calculate payroll in the present and in the futur.
Managers are able to view their employees hours and track sick and vacation time.
Timesheets are done online, no need for paper timesheets.

Pros: Ceridian has been an excellent solution for our payroll and timekeeping needs. Dayforce is customize-able and can accommodate multi state payroll. Excellent resources and customer support.

Cons: Implementation is a beast to say the least. However if you really take the time to think all your company processes through from start to finish you will have the system set up to meet all of your organizations needs.

Comments: Overall, Ceridian Dayforce HCM is slick. It is such an improvement to what we had!

Pros: The cloud based platform is quick and real time. It is easy to navigate and you can learn most of it by just exploring.

Cons: There are some features that could use some improvement. But what's nice is you can suggest an improvement and if others want it and vote on it, the Ceridian team will review it and possibly implement your suggesting in one of their upgrades!

Pros: I like the fact that I can now access Dayforce from multiple internet applications, including my Mac. The convenience has helped me tremendously with my very busy schedule.

Cons: What I like least about Dayforce is it can run slow and reports can take a while. There is no mobile application available for employees, it is view only from a mobile device.

Pros: I love the fact that they made it so easy to request certain days off and give reasons why, you can even put comments in so that the manager understands what's going on.

Cons: Sometimes it takes a while for the system to load up, and I have to refresh often to get it to show me anything new with my request offs.

Overall: Easy access to schedule and requests off

Dayforce is easy to use and navigate. Some improvements can be made to the dashboard interface.

Pros: Clear display of information in each category (eg. Earnings & Benefits). Under the earnings category, each payslip is displayed clearly. I also like the overall look and feel of the software.

Cons: The dashboard on the front page is too confusing. Both categories and subcategories are presented on the same page, which confuses and overwhelms me every time.

Comments: There is a lot of potential with this product, however the most useful features are limited to those with universal access; most managers at my workplace do not have the authorizations to access advanced reporting that would be extremely helpful. Furthermore, while there is a lot of functionality, it is not quite intuitive enough. I found it easy to navigate but probably due to my prior experience with similar software. Managers here struggle to make full use of it and spend more time, rather than less, on things like scheduling, authorizing time sheets, and the like.

Pros: -Advanced reporting capabilities -Automation features to save time -Both Time Management and Payroll in one program is very beneficial

Cons: -Not as intuitive as it needs to be -Most beneficial functions are locked to those with high-level access -More complicated than necessary in some ways, which means it takes more time to navigate and utilize than necessary

Pros: I love that it is one solution. No more imports, no more worries about data dropping off. The test portal allows us to set up new deductions and earnings, and test them before putting them into production. The future dating feature works really well. It allows us to enter increase early and test them in a future payroll to see how the employees pay check will look, and gives us more time to audit our changes thus relieving some of the stress that comes with year end. The education portal is a big plus. It allows us to learn at our own pace, and to schedule that classes that are helpful for each administrative role.

Overall: Before Dayfore, we were using three different systems. One for payroll, one for time and attendance, and another for HR. We had to import data from one system to another so there was the potential of data dropping off. We were able to combine three systems into one with Dayforce. Since Ceridian uses one solution, once an employee is hired they are visible in all parts of the system immediately. No more waiting for overnight updates. Ceridian cut my payroll processing time by 40%, which allows me more time to audit my work. There are some great audit reports built into the system, which I run every payroll. They point to problems with can be corrected before we finalize for the week. The ability to run wage and tax registers, and W2's anytime of the year, allows me to fix any potential problems, which in turn make year end a breeze. My employees now are able to manage some of their own data, which alleviates the burden off HR and Payroll and allows the employee to update their records when it is convenient for them.

Comments: Overall I am looking forward to using this platform for all our payroll and HR functions.

Pros: I like that the system is intuitive and it is easy to navigate and use which is key for any HCM. The reporting options are really great and the pre-loaded forms will be a big time saver for business analysis.

Cons: The implementation phase is very laborious and often because so many functions are going on at the same time it makes it very challenging for an organization. Some of the forms aren't editable by systems and there are options that would be a major benefit to have listed. Example Hiring Form should have the entitlement policy option.

Comments: I can't wait for the next new realease!

Pros: I love that it is literally an all-in-one system. We've been able to do away with several other supplementary vendors since DayForce implementation. I also love that they are constantly updating/upgrading their system. Something that may bothers me now, is surely in a patch, upgrade, fix, release down the road.

Cons: I don't like that when you submit an incident to support that it takes a very long time to get something resolved.

Pros: I like that it's an integrated solution that works in real-time. Ceridian is well-organized in their approach to implementation.

Cons: The benefits administration system is not as intuitive as our last system. But it does allow the user more independence in administration. We don't have to rely on bad service to wait and wait to get a problem solved.

Dayforce has completely changed how we do life at Kern Health Systems HR.

Pros: We love that we have been able to go paperless in all of our HR processes from application to termination. We no longer use paper apps, compensation change forms, benefits apps, or onboarding documents. Everything is paperless. We can look in the system and see where approvals are sitting. This has made our HR flows and processes so much easier and efficient. We also love the one employee record. From application to hire we only have to enter their information once. We have significantly cut down on our errors and the spreadsheets we used to keep to follow all of our processes. Our Onboarding is streamlined and professional. New hires can fill out all of their documents prior to the first day of work, so that we can maximize our first day with them. And finally Support. The Support Team is world class. I can't speak highly enough about the responsiveness, expertise and efficient way the support team works with their clients! Ceridian gets an A+ for their support.

Cons: Prior to the newest upgrade to 53, Reporting was a bit clunky and difficult to understand. As a busy HR Leader, I don't have extensive time to take a bunch of classes to learn how to run reports. They need to be easy, user friendly and intuitive. Prior to the upgrade they were not. The new Reports module has come a LONG way in improving this. The reporting module is now in HTML and much easier to understand and use. Other than that, I cannot think of one other Con to the Dayforce system. I came from a very different provider that I was extremely displeased with, so it makes it a little more challenging to find Cons. I am very happy with the decision to move to Ceridian.

Overall: HR efficiencies, ROI by 60% over our other provider in the first month and a support team that truly supports their clients efforts. I feel like we have gained a partner not a vendor.

Comments: This is a fantastic product which I am excited to fully implement.

Pros: The automation through the Dayforce HCM system is unmatched. It is a step ahead and innovative and that is where our company wants to go.

Cons: Security features could be more granular. Reports are lacking in regards to historical data, and pulling from every field.

Pros: Easy to access, not hard to understand feature, Dayforce is always on point when we have issue they are quick to get fixed.

Cons: There is not much that I don't like about this software only that when we are up for medical benefits they can be a little complicated.

Overall: With a growing company as we have been Dayforce is up to date and can stay up beat with up.

Pros: All-in-one integrated system. Easy to use for employees, yet sophisticated enough for power users to customize the back-end for our needs. I like their road map for the next couple years. They've made great changes to the interface as well as added new features. It looks like that trend will continue, which is exciting.

Cons: Performance can be a bit slow because the foundation is built on Silverlight. Technical support can be hit or miss.

Comments: We were able to go from having seven different systems for payroll, benefits to only one. We have automated many of our processes and reduced/eliminated most of the spreadsheets we are using to track information as we have an actual system wherein to track this data.

Pros: One single application, totally integrated for payroll, benefits, HR, recruiting, performance management, etc. We really like that the system is easy to configure. Dayforce itself has come a long way in the 18 months we have been a customer--they have upgraded the platform several times. They are good listeners and seek to improve all the time.

Cons: We have struggled with carrier feeds. Dayforce is growing at such a rapid pace that it seems like the customer support side has been slow to catch up. In the 18 months we have been with Dayforce, we have had 3 customer success reps. The turnover (on their side) is a little worrisome.

Comments: The Ceridian XOXO program is an excellent feature that helps you connect with other users to gain insight from a user prospective.

Pros: The totally integrated platform of Dayforce HCM is a major plus. The integration results in many efficiencies for our organization and we see the possibilities for more with every update.

Cons: The implementation process is very time consuming and did not go the smoothest for us. I would suggest an organization take at least 12 months for this process.

Dayforce is a great product that has simplified many processes.

Pros: User friendly program makes life and workload manageable. We have gone from having boxes and boxes of backup to having almost none.

Cons: Not knowing enough about the background steps to make changes needed within the system confidently. There are many different screens that make up the background processing that I feel can be redundant but not being confident where all those places and screens are makes me hesitant to make those changes.

Pros: The integration of 5 systems into 1! The real time between the timesheets and payroll. Also, having an environment for testing purposes.

Cons: The implementation of this product was very challenging. The Project Manager will need to be 100% focused on implementation as well as the team.

Comments: I would love to have one customer service rep assigned to our company who knows our system well and we can reach to him or her directly.

Pros: All the help is available online. I also like that all modules are available on the same plateform. Easy to navigate.

Cons: There are some features - I would like to see. Hopefully they are coming in future release. for eg. - Reverse termination.

Pros: one piece of software for the employee lifespan from recruitment, hiring, onboarding, schedule, payroll, WFM, benefits, ancillary costs and performance management

Cons: previous releases were in outdated Silverlight coding, but that has been fixed with their consistent, reliable releases

Pros: The Payroll auditing features in real time is very powerful. Year end PPACA is so much easier than our prior software.

Cons: Need to be savvy in report writing to create your own teports. Configuration requires some SQL experience.

Comments: Overall this system makes life so much easier.

Pros: Having a system that thinks for you. The tracking the system is capable of doing is amazing, it calculates and updates the system automatically

Cons: Going to multiple screens for information. There is so much information that is stored in each screen that there has to be multiple roles to go into.

Pros: 1. Ease to use 2. Perfect example of what HCM has to be. 3. All data are secured and linked well with all different products (systems)

Pros: One of our major wins was the consolidation of HRIS, Workforce Management and Payroll under one roof with one employee record. We were able to move Canada, UK and US employees into ONE SYSTEM. Huge win for our users and technical team.

Cons: The implementation was complex and our team struggled throughout the phases. We required strong project management resources on the Ceridian side, and that role was not a strength. We went through multiple Ceridian PMs and eventually hired an additional PM for the client side. The implementation team approach to certain functions - specifically entitlement setup - did not align with best practices endorsed by the Ceridian support team. Unfortunately we did not learn this until after go-live. We ended up reworking Entitlements post implementation.

Comments: Do your research before you sign on! It is well worth the time to assign someone from your company to take all of the training programs through the Dayforce Live program PRIOR to starting implementation. We rushed straight from signing to implementation, and a few things would have gone much smoother if we'd had a more complete understanding of the Dayforce platform prior to making some decisions on the format and structure of the program. Since the platform is so configurable, you need to go in knowing exactly what you want and have a list of your "musts" ready for your implementation team before starting Discovery.

Pros: We really like the ease of managing our employees through a single employee record, and the consistency of the user experience. We operate in 38 states and 5 countries, so being able to publish a single set of user guides is a huge benefit. We also love the ease and continuity of the reporting and payroll calculations.

Cons: We have had some challenges getting things set up just the way we want them, and we discovered an issue when an employee transfers between countries that interrupts the single employee record protocol (it's unavoidable at this point- taxing laws in different countries are just too challenging to house in a single employee record.) Despite the difficulties, Dayforce is a strong, adaptable program with many useful features.

Comments: In my experience, the strongest determining factor of successful utility of Dayforce is the knowledge of the administrator. Logical and intuitive, in the hands of someone who understands HRIS, the potential of Dayforce to drive business efficiency is endless.

Pros: The breadth of their features and the configurability offers endless solutions for businesses to drive best practices and innovation.

Pros: Payroll processing is by far the easiest on Dayforce than on any other system. I particularly like that I can run a processing at any time to provide financial data to the Accounting Departments when asked.

Cons: At the quarter end, when we have to open an Off Cycle payroll to enter termination checks or misc earnings after the final regular payroll and the end of the quarter, the Off Cycle is missing a feature that allows for you to "Pay Out To Date" an employee. The problem then occurs that the hours or generated earnings being paid are not marked as paid so there is the chance that they will import to the next regular pay cycle to be paid again.

Overall: More efficient than previous software used

Employees dislike this over their previous ADP time tracking software. Too difficult to use.

Pros: The software itself is pretty comprehensive. There are many options and it keeps track of daily time, time off requests, sick days remaining, vacation remaining, etc.

Cons: Some employees, like me, who punch a clock find it difficult to use as far as approving "time", requesting time off. Often takes too long too load before punching in. A common complaint is punching in late when the employee was actually early to work. This seems to be computer dependent. Newer computers having little to no problems punching in while folks using older computers have the software loading too slowly issue.

Overall: None over previous software. I do believe that it is better for the people who process our payroll, but for us users like me (time clock punchers), it is more difficult than our previous software.

Comments: Dayforce works great under the right circumstances, but they still have some work to do to gain a bigger market share.

Pros: Dayforce HCM (DF) is a great product for payroll, which is the company's core offering. They have incorporated other HRIS modules into DF, some of which work extremely well. Dayforce does a great job of using only one employee record for everything, so there are no internal interfaces, and all changes are made real time. The company keeps up to date on all regulatory changes, and is quick to roll out updates and fixes to the software, which are seamless because they happen in the cloud. Works great for both our US and Canadian populations.

Cons: Dayforce does not process payroll in Mexico, so we cannot use it for the sole solution in North America. The reporting on data is sometimes difficult; the tool is pretty robust, but some common-sense reports are almost impossible to build, due to the cumbersome process of linking data fields together. This is getting better, but still lacking. Support response times are usually timely, but support personnel are not always knowledgeable enough to fix the issue right away. Any extra work on the product is always billable, and never cheap. Due to the design of the product, any changes to the company's organizational structure will almost certainly result in a long, expensive project to update the product.

Comments: Oh, there's so much to say. Horrible software!

Cons: From the financial reporting side: Reports that are generated, are not in the correct Excel format. I have to manipulate EVERYTHING just to be able to use it. They don't have a work comp report, unless you want to pay them to create it, which we had to do. I just needed them to run SUTA expense with payroll, but not pay the tax to the state, since we have a trust. They can't handle that. So now, I'm stuck with no SUTA expense to record and Ceridian staff saying, the software doesn't support what we need. Basically, if it's something you need that doesn't fit them, forget about it. You are required to conform to them, not the other way around. They are not customer oriented at all. Customer support is severely lacking. Our implementation has not gone well, and we are not finished. It has been 5 months. The entire process has been extremely frustrating.

Comments: Great tool. Have used many HR products over the years and this is by far the easiest, and most user friendly tool of the bunch. I would recommend this application to anyone searching for their next HR suite.

Pros: I find that Dayforce is great product for use by employees and the employers. It is not difficult to navigate through as an employer, and there is flexibility on the employees side. I like that someone can review their immediate employees hours from anywhere - even mobile.

Cons: Honestly, I dont have very man Cons to using the product. I have found it easy to use and there doesnt seem to be many interruptions due to outages and such.

Comments: We implemented this system almost a year ago throughout our whole organization and we LOVE it! Our team members appreciate having some of the power in their hands to be able to see their schedules on the mobile app, request time off on the mobile app, managers can approve request on the mobile app, and the system is very easy to navigate. If we had to make the choice again, we would not change a thing!

Pros: Dayforce is very intuitive, which is one of the reasons we decided on Dayforce. We looked at the system from the perspective of the team member, who would use it, but most likely not daily. How would they be able to navigate the system? What would be their challenges? We found that Dayforce was able to rise to the challenge and provide many tools that would help our team members out along the way. One of them we like is the great mobile app that appeals to the millennials. Being able to check schedules, time worked, request time off, etc. on the mobile app has been a huge success for the team members as well as the managers who would get the calls to find out what the schedule is, or how much time off is available.

Cons: The reporting for someone not as advanced is great, but for those that are more advanced it can be challenging. To be fair, they do have a lot of standard reports that you can tweak, but for those that like to get in and pull various reports, I don't think they have a good way of letting you know what the tables are and where to pull the data from.

Pros: The functionality! We have some complex policies / procedures that other vendors simply told us could not be automated. However, we have been able to automate not just successfully but accurately these complex policies to improve our internal customer satisfaction and remove a lot of the administrative burden. Ceridian is also clearly dedicated to excelling and staying ahead of the industry's needs, as clearly reflected in their willingness and execution to implement clients' ideas based on their individual needs.

Cons: Silverlight plug-in is a problem especially for my Mac users; however, they are working on getting rid of this, thankfully. In addition, they had to address some implementation inefficiencies.

Comments: Generally speaking, the Dayforce product features a pleasant professional looking user interface the is quite intuitive. The single user interface and single client record allows for less time in the system, and more importantly, the ability to run nearly endless metrics for strategic planning. The system is quite robust and offers a full set of features where most competitors lack a full feature set. When you sign up as a new customer, the customer support, training, and networking with other Dayforce customers is fantastic. Overall, the products sets the bar for industry standard.

Pros: Dayforce provides a single user interface and a single client record. Many products have multiple records that impact the flow of data point. The Dayforce single record supports advanced metrics for strategic planning.

Cons: There learning of the product is extensive. This is initially a con, however, the learning and networking opportunities are vast.

Moving from a spreadsheet/ accounting program module to Dayforce was like "dancing in the rain".

Cons: The only thing I would like to change about Dayforce is functionality to add more items to items such as pay approve checklist. This is to work like my day but the manager is not on the page as it is displayed in my day. So eventhough Pay approve checklist is a lot user friendly than may day I have to complete an extra step and run a report to find out who the manager is for the employee I am approving time for.

Pros: I like that you can set up specialized access for your different employee and managers based on the need of the roles. One of the biggest things that I like about Dayforce HCM is that they really listen to their customers. They care about what we think and utilize suggestions for improvement and ease of use. I have been through 2 implementations and I highly recommend Dayforce HCM

Cons: There is very little that I don't like about this software. One thing that comes to mind is the updating of direct deposit accounts. I frequently have employees needing assistance with updating accounts. Also, it would be nice for employees to view their withholding forms in Dayforce and not have to rely on seeing what they are claiming on their paystubs.

Pros: Dayforce caters to our needs. We can now do so much more than we could ever think of doing in our old HRIS system.

Cons: During our performance evaluations we had some trouble with the settings not being so customizable as we thought it would be.

i really enjoyed using this program and would greatly recommend it

Pros: This program provided an easy and efficient way to navigate the site for both my co workers and I. we know we can succeed more through this program

Cons: I believe that there is nothing I dislike about using this program. It has affected my department in a very positive way.

Pros: We like the freedom to do our own configuration. The interface is very user friendly. It is nice to have all of the information that we need, right at our fingertips.

Cons: Initial set up and implementation is a little challenging because when converting, you don't know what you don't know. Some of the hidden features and functionality don't become apparent until you make a mistake and have to seek assistance.

Overall: We can now customize our own system, we can run reports, and we have total control over our employee database.

Dayforce HCM is a great, single database cloud software, that is constantly adding new features.

Comments: Having used Dayforce HCM for over 5 years, I can honestly say that it is an incredible piece of software that is ever-expanding, and the developers are always hard at work creating more modules. As opposed to previous systems where it required multiple file feeds internally, which would constantly update one place such as the HR record, but would not update in Payroll, Self Service, Benefits, or wouldn't update in any of them; with Dayforce however, there are no longer such data integrity issues, as it uses one database to house it all. It also also far easier on the eyes than some previous systems, and the ad-hoc reporting along with topic builder make creating custom reports quite easy (once you get the gist of how it works - there is a learning curve if you don't take the training - but if you're savvy, it's quite robust). The key with Dayforce is IMPLEMENTATION. If you are not diligent, clear, and thorough with the discovery stage and throughout implementation, it will haunt you down the road. Make a team, dedicate someone to nothing but testing and making sure you've got it doing what each team/department/manager/user needs it to do, just do something to make sure you are comfortable with the application and get what you need, otherwise you will spend a lot of time fixing issues with upset employees . Ceridian has grown their teams vastly, so the support reps can be hit and miss, but if you are techy and willing to learn the system, it is far superior to the others out there, and can be very low maintenance.

Pros: One database means data is always consistent throughout modules. The flexibility within the configuration is unmatched. Beautiful appearance and very user-friendly.

Cons: The switch from SilverLight to HTML has been slow and each release has been somewhat buggy initially after upgrading when using the new HTML pieces. Aside from that, the system is as good as your involvement and motivation to learn (especially during Implementation - be diligent and thorough in your discovery and scoping, or it will be painful when transferred to support).

Comments: Overall, we have truly benefited from partnering with Dayforce. Our team members are excited about the user friendliness of the program, the accessibility from their mobile devices and the functions that empower them to submit requests & changes electronically. Our managers have raved about being able to schedule within labor guidelines and team member availability. Time Off requests are easier to track, schedule, approve/decline. Personal Action Form items that require approval are now electronic, which has smoothed out our process. We have seen a decrease in the amount of paperwork that was being processed & tracked, we have seen an increase in managerial productivity, we have seen a time savings in our payroll processing and an improvement in our reporting capabilities.

Comments: When implementing, you must know ahead of time what your organization set up is and how it will expand out to all levels. It would also help to have some programming background. Dayforce is one system, so be aware all changes can effect another.

Pros: It is an incredibly comprehensive and customizable product. The training that is offered is vast and at all levels. Implementation was supportive and provided a team that worked well with ours. The offer so many avenues of training, support and networking. I love the payroll side and I find it much easier to use than ADP's Workforce now.

Cons: Customer support is not as responsive as I would like. It is not an instant set up, it takes a lot of programming to customize it to your company. Dayforce is not a cookie cutter system it takes work to make sure that your organization is reflected correctly for HR and Payroll.

Comments: I don't see myself using any other product

Pros: Very user friendly, One stop shop, Uses real time, Reporting is very simple to use and can pull lots of data out.

Cons: When up grades are down in the Dayforce it sometime creates other issues and you have to wait for hot fixes to get them resolved

Pros: Everything is all in one place. We love processing payroll with the time sheets right there. And having the employee record handy works well too.

Cons: The constant updates. Updates are happening often and sometimes it will update one thing but break another. We have to be on the lookout for items on a regular basis.

Pros: Pros include the customer support and success manager. Pros also include the technical acumen that the system offers.

Cons: Dislike the dashboards & My Project. It appears that Ceridian needs to invest a bit more time and money into these features.

Pros: The report is great, we really enjoy this feature! Payroll processing time is cut in half of our previous vendor.

Cons: The lack of immediate attention to issues that arise during our daily processes. We don't really have too many dislikes.

Comments: No real general comments other than the current support structure is a little disturbing. There are time you can call support and get a person to help and try and determine the problem. There are other times you get a person that literally tells you they are opening a ticket and that's it!

Pros: compared to older Ceridian applications (HPL, HPW, Source 500) everything is done and complete. No more application/Signature issues.

Cons: There is still a 'back end' that as a client I can not see. You used to be able to use SQL to make behind the scene application changes and have the data flow to Signature. You no longer need to flow anything to Signature but there is so some of behind the scene work the client can't do,

Comments: Overall I do think it is a quality product, it just requires a lot of massaging to get out what you need.

Pros: Having benefits, payroll, (WFM), tax compliance, all in the same system is very useful. Changes are reflected instantly

Cons: Support is not worthy. The product seems very focused on retail and manufacturing companies and employers, such as mine, have to manipulate the system to work with our office staff who do not use time clocks or conform to schedules. A lot of 'upgrades are broken upon release and could use more internal testing before dropping them on customers.

Pros: The integration of payroll, scheduling, document management, performance management, recruiting, and onboarding on one platform.

Cons: It can be more intutitive. The system is easy enough to operate, but I think it would be more beneficial if some of the features were more intuitive so new users can become more efficient in a quicker manner. It takes some getting used to. I would recommend changing the format for drop down selections. It isn't always obvious to new users.

Overall: A one stop shop for mostly all human resources and payroll functions.

Cons: Regular hot fixes and releases, it often leads to some changes to existing processes. Delay in support portal, especially when a problem has occurred and you need a quick fix

Comments: Dayforce HCM is a fantastic software, but you need to have the skill and time resources to use it well.

Pros: Most flexible software available. Always expanding with new, sometimes "free" additions. Can do just about anything you throw at it.

Cons: Very slow customer support. Difficult to keep up with updates. Requires a very good administrator to make changes or just keep up with updates.

Comments: Our company is still going through our implementation so I'm sharing all the real and live experiences of what we are going through. It's extremely painful working with Dayforce. Please do yourself a favor. DON'T consider Dayforce. You will regret!!

Pros: They have nice homepage/ contemporary looking website. They have a good sales team who force you into purchasing their product.

Cons: Horrible implementation team. Whole bunch of overseas IT who has no HR knowledge or understanding of labor laws. We can't understand most implementation team members' English. They promised us many things at the beginning and they only accomplished 10%. It's the slowest system/website I have ever used. Their customer support takes forever to resolve one issue. We have a simple issue that took them one month to resolve. Their website is extremely unstable. We get error messages and get booted out all the time. Their data integrity is horrible and their systems have so many limitations. They can't even build a simple formula that can properly accrue and calculate our PTO and CA sick leave policy. It has been incorrect for 5 straight payroll since we went live. Their report function is corrupted. We run the exact same report 3 times and each time we get different outcomes. Their system is corrupted. Our company regrets so much to choosing this company. But we already made our investments this far, there's really no way out at this point.

Pros: It's evolving at a steady pace with features and functionality. We have been through one new release and it included a brand new benefits and payroll modules that thankfully did not replace the previous modules for now so it wasn't disruptive. We have ample time to learn the new modules before they completely replace the old. The support model has been mostly very good.

Cons: There are still some bugs with the new functionality. I wish there was more control over the data to have an efficient method of fixing records that have bad data. I also think the learning curve is long to learn the advanced reporting methods of creating new topics.

Overall: Streamlined some of our manual processes, better reporting options, Automatic carrier feeds, etc

This is a new process for our company, so far it has been a good experience

Pros: Very intuitive and easy to use. Very customizable (do so during implementation).

Cons: It takes a bit to get used to, but once you do, you will never want to turn back!

Overall: My company switched from Paychex to Ceridian Dayforce HCM in January 2017. Our implementation team was by far the best implementation team I have ever worked with. They are a very organized, cohesive group. This product is very user-friendly and intuitive. The user interface is very easy for even the most novice of users. Dayforce HCM has your HRIS, your Time & Attendance, and your payroll all in one application. A great product!

Recommendations to other buyers: Make sure that your data is accurate in your legacy system prior to implementation so that you have as clean a migration as possible.

Pros: It has a lot of information needed to do reports and Journal Entries. It's easy to navigate thru and gives me the information I need.

Cons: Some reports are hard to read. Customer service at times has trouble either getting back to me or they fix the problem but don't tell me how they did it so if it happens again I can fix it.

Overall: We started in January 2016 with HCM . At first we struggled but as the year went on all parts of the module became easier to use. I don't receive as many requests for payroll information.
Employees are using the system better than expected.

Comments: Pros - Our previous system basically operated on a "point in time" basis; historical information was kept in hard copy in employee files. Reporting from the payroll system was difficult and in many cases required expensive custom reports to be written by the service provider. Approximately 65% of our employees do not have access to the company email account, consequently requests for vacation payments, time off requests, address changes, tax changes, bank account changes were sent to HR by the employee's manager. Employees monitor their own personal information in Dayforce such as salary, job title, etc. ; they have access to forms; managers have access to a multitude of reports to help them manage their workforce. The HR/Payroll team have the ability to provide executive reports almost instantaneously - time spent producing management reports has been significantly reduced. Company policies and agreements have been uploaded into Dayforce eliminating the need to produce hard copy documents - this includes handbooks, links to benefit websites, corporate forms (eg. Code of Conduct) which saves time and money - no hard copies required. Time spent in payroll has not reduced, however, quality has increased significantly - more time is spent in value added auditing rather than paper processing. Compliance with legislation is much easier to manage. Immeasurable ROI on employee satisfaction - we spend more time talking to our employees; Dayforce has facilitated a closer relationship between HR and employees - they feel like they are part of something big, because they can see it! HR and Payroll is no longer a mysterious machine somewhere in corporate office. The Ceridian learning tools are awesome - although we do not have all of the modules, providing access to the Ceridian University gives us opportunities to attend sessions and experience other activities that our organization may want to consider.

Con: We do not have enough time to explore/implement the many features available.

Overall Satusfaction: Dayforce provides everything we need!

Overall: It was a move from multiple, interfaced together to the single point of record platform of Dayforce. One of the best moves the organization could have made. Users enjoy it and find it easy to use. Training is available from several resources and the support continues to improve. The partnership Ceridian provides to the clients is very impressive.

Overall: Really like being on one platform for HR and payroll. Dayforce is a very robust product. Ceridian continues to improve on this product and offer more features each year. Truly a one stop shop product.

Pros: Payroll/HR System is easy to use and the icons they have created helps when issues need to be addressed for my managers.

Cons: Silverlight crashes a lot but Dayforce and Ceridian are moving away from Silverlight so it should not be a problem in upcoming future.

Overall: Previously I was processing payroll and onboarding employees using 2 different systems. A time and attendance and a payroll/HR system. Switching to Dayforce has streamlined the way we handle HR incidents, new hires, payroll, time and attendance all in one easy to use the system. My employees appreciate the fact they can now take ownership and enjoy the fact that they have access to see their time, paystubs, able to change addresses, or personal info has needed. As a payroll/HR administrator, time is of the essence when processing accurate payroll. Dayforce streamlined our payroll process and what used to take 3 days, now only takes 1!!!

Recommendations to other buyers: The system is very intricate. Think outside the box when in implementation. The system can do much more than you think....
