### "Data Extraction made easy"

April 30, 2022

5.0

Overall I am really enjoying using this software. It has made my work life really easy and productive. It has enhanced my performance and its UI is really intuitive and easy to use.

Pros

The software is fully packed with the features and the shortcuts which makes life of an analyst super easy to work on daily data requirements. It is really fast and also very intuitive to use for a new user. Speed and execution is what I really like about this.

Cons

It has a limit to show the preview of data when queried, that limit can be slightly higher and data connectivity solutions can be improved.

### "Relational Databases for implementing robust system architecture"

July 20, 2019

4.0

MySQL is a really good tool for building your project or product database architecture from the scratch. There are variety of features available in MySQL which can help in making a robust and scalable platform for your project or product for future.

Pros

Relational databases like MySQL are great for building a robust and scalable database architecture from the scratch. The SQL server is optimised for enabling faster queries for your system's data and provides variety of features like triggers, transactions, views for building up your system efficiently. Features like geofencing are really easy to develop as MySQL has an inbuilt support for the same.

Cons

MySQL is relational database which means the tables schema and the relations between them need to defined from the start. Databases like NoSQL do not need a defined schema and any changes to the schema can be easily implemented in them unlike in MySQL.

### "My experience with MySQL is very good, a very light and easy to handle database."

March 10, 2018

5.0

MySQL allows me to create a database for a website in a quick and easy way without major worries. When I'm going to make a simple system, I only think of MySQL.

Pros

My experience with MySQL is very good, a very light and easy to handle database. My experience with MySQL is very good, a very light and easy to handle database. The sql statements are simple, it is a database that can be installed on almost any computer, it does not have many hardware requirements. In addition, it is available in almost all hosting providers. I like to connect it with web systems.

Cons

MySQL is not recommended for large volumes of data, since queries become extremely slow. Also, you can not use prepared statements, you can only create dynamic SQL statements (concatenating strings), in these cases you have to use tools like addslashes, htmlspecialchars and others; and the other, is not object oriented.

### "MySQL is fast, reliable and easy to use db"

April 15, 2021

We have great experience using MySQL, 90% of our db are MySQL.

Pros

Is fast, reliable, easy to use and free db. You don't need any third party software to do almost everything

Cons

Should have its own graphical client / manager like sql managment studio. There are many third party free softwares but Will be nice if it have its official client version

### "Simple and well tested"

February 16, 2021

5.0

MySQL has been around for a long time and I have been using it as my go-to database for as long as I'm working with websites. With its incredible stability, all of my websites databases are in safe hands. With recent updates it actually became even faster and more stable. I can only recommend it as the best and fastest database for small and medium size projects.

Pros

The thing I like most about MySQL is that it is free, open source, and fast. It is extremely stable, and I don't remember the time it crashed for whatever reason. Another additional benefit is that it supports multiple operating systems.

Cons

Really large databases become slow and need a lot of maintenance. Error messages are often vague and unhelpful so finding what went wrong requires a lot of work.

MySQL has more overall support. There are more people using it and more people sharing their experiences on forums and tutorials. MySQL is also much easier to set up so it was very easy to make this decision.

### "MySQL for data management and as a reporting database"

November 13, 2021

4.0

I am using MySQL database for storing the tables and performing transformation jobs on top of the dataset. And the output of MySQL queries are utilised by reporting softwares

Pros

The most impactful thing which liked using MySQL is it supports almost all kind of operations on the stored dataset. Which helped me to shape the input for reporting software. Writing queries in MySQL is very easy compared to other databases.

Cons

What I liked the least about MySQL databse is performing any join queries on large dataset tables are not optimistic, most of the time it gives timeout error.

### "No better DBMS in the market - MySQL!"

May 18, 2020

5.0

MySQL was part of the LEMP stack we installed to run our Wordpress website. We use it daily for data management and have needs to pull data manually by inputting queries. And it excels at its job perfectly!

Pros

MySQL was taught to us in high school in IT. It was easy and amazing and it still has all the charm it had then. - Pretty much learn all the basics in a week. I taught it to a 16 yr old, so yep! - Super light and can be run on a single chip with no issues. - Huge databases can be stored without a hitch. - The UNION and CONCAT functions are amazing. - Record search and pulling is easy. - Its completely free of charge. - Automated MySQL entries can be done via scripts in all languages. -

Cons

\- Smaller and faster DMS do exists. - Some OS have trouble running MySQL, so alternatives have to be used. - Has more potential of SQL injection vulnerabilities than competitive software.

### "An excellent database for your company and web projects"

September 22, 2020

I have used this database for several years in application development, as a database for information management of these systems as well as in data hosting for reporting purposes and others.

Pros

What I like the most is its easy use, which is a fast, well-supported and administrable database It also provides us with security in the storage of data as well as integration with other systems and products.

Cons

so far I have not had any problems with this product. But I think it could improve more in the workload, to improve the performance

### "Fast and reliable relational DBMS"

October 18, 2022

5.0

Overall postiive experience - it just works once configured correctly. Even easier to use AWS RDS / Aurora for managed Mysql Instances.

Pros

Flexibility and 1st level support from most application servers via JDBC ODBC connectorsMost cloud providers offer Mysql as SaSS or additions to PaSS offerings - so in terms of reducing costs to run mysql instances, these can be placed under op expenditure.

Cons

Standalone product support can get expensive (from Oracle).Database restore for master/slave replication can get complex with bin log files manual adjustments being required to fully sync replication.

It really helps to save cost and is generally fast to operate.

Pros

MySQL is very easy to get started with MySQL and often its easy to use in simplest manner. It is great tool to deal with data management. It is fast and its installation is also very simple. THe best part of MySQL is that we can us it for free where as many RDMS has subscription patterns.

### "MySQL makes it easy to manage databases."

April 23, 2022

4.0

MySQL is suitable for both beginners and experts. My company's performance has improved with the use of this software. MySQL is Simple to use it has Cross-platform support, allowing it to run on any operating system, MySQL Connect to practically any backend programming language with ease.

Pros

The best thing about MySQL, in my opinion, is that it has one of the best user interfaces of any database. With existing databases, a variety of filters and queries can be used, and tables can be imported from other applications or third-party browsers. MySQL is based on a standard database, where we use it to perform CRUD (create, read, update, delete) operations and manage data for a web application or a variety of other uses. One feature to note is that the relationship between tables in a database can be tracked, which we can easily retrieve using indexing functions. Because it supports user authentication and validation, many online applications use MySQL as their back-end to manage user data.

Cons

What I don't like are the few options it has for building tables and it requires a lot of software to be installed to work properly.

### "The best database management system for relational databases"

November 20, 2019

5.0

Ever since I learnt MySQL, it is the only database management system I work with. It's really easy to use and has all the features and tools you would need to manage your database, regardless of the database size. Extremely reliable, the number of users should speak for itself.

Pros

MySQL is very easy to get a hang of and learn, once you get the basic foundation down it's really easy to use. If your database is properly structured, MySQL is the best for relational databases. It can handle a wide range of data, including large volumes. Its one of the most popular and trusted database management systems and free to use. Our go-to database management system is always MySQL and has been MySQL for quite a while. It's supported by any environment and it is fast and reliable.

Cons

Only con would be that MySQL is for relational databases ONLY. If you are planning to use NoSQL, then MySQL is not for you.

### "Free dbms from oracle for small to medium projects"

December 8, 2019

5.0

Its one of the best opensource rdbms for small projects. Easy to set up, configure and use

Pros

Its one of the most used databases and powers most of the websites worldwide. There are lot of frameworks like Wordpress, LAMP etc. which use mysql as the database. Its very easy to install and configure. The community is very helpful and you can get instant help. Most of the issues/ trouble shooting is already available in stackoverflow. Very easy to create triggers/stored procedures

Cons

\- Not good for very large databases - Due to the popularity NoSQL dbs like mongo db, new frameworks like MEAN stack are using mongo/other nosql dbs. - Maria DB is replacing MySQL for most of the linux OS like RHEL - Find it hard to migrate from linux to windows due to naming convention issues. (Tables are stored as files/folders and in windows files are not case-sensitive)

### "Mysql the best Relational Database Management System for Beginners"

March 7, 2022

5.0

My experience was phenomenal. When I started developing Content Management Systems, I used MySQL and the experience was indeed great

Pros

I like the fact that it is free, It is easy to use Mysql for managing small, medium, and large databases. I also like the fact that there is documentation all over the internet that provides help. I like the fact that Mysql is very secure when using it for your website. Apart from that, MySQL has many tutorials all over the internet; it becomes easy to solve any problem regarding it. I can create a database for my website with a script. I won't have to manually create the tables.

Cons

So far, there is nothing that I don't like about MySQL

Reason for choosing MySQL

I chose the fact that it has many support materials which offer help. Despite that, it is free; I don't like buying software when I am broke. But when I have money, I don't mind buying software.

### "Where would we be without MySQL?"

August 29, 2019

5.0

I have made a number of websites using MySQL and never had any real issues. It reliably stores data. Conceptually simple, but absolutely vital to practically everything I do.

Pros

It lets you keep track of huge amounts of data. A database is necessary for practically everything computers can do, and this is the most popular among them. It has served many websites and servers very well for many years.

Cons

What can you say bad about something that has so drastically changed the shape of our world? Honestly, I was taken aback to even see reviews for this. It feels almost like reviewing the concept of a light bulb... who could possibly have something bad to say? Granted, I'm not technical enough to say this is the best possible implementation or anything, and I'm sure the world would move forward, but who could deny how much MySQL has shaped things on the web?

### "MySql is fast, reliable y ease of use"

October 7, 2020

5.0

I like it and it helps us to support the thousands of systems that use it as a native database.

Pros

It is a database with good performance, present in the main operating systems. It is very easy to use and we have used it in several open source systems. I like the way I can migrate the databases.

Cons

Many of the things that I did not like have already been overcome, for example the stored procedures. On the other hand I understand that they could offer more in the toolset.

Reason for choosing MySQL

I actually use both, there are many applications that I use that require the use of MySql. I have also decided to use it occasionally when I am going to work for Linux or Mac environments.

May 31, 2022

5.0

I'm more than just happy with MySQL. For every PHP application I ever developed, I used MySQL. I can't think of an application without this DBMS.

Pros

I like how easy it is to use MySQL. I have been using MySQL back from 2014, I didn't even know about MySQL back then, I was using WordPress. Later when I came to development, I get to know MySQL. I find its command easy, and too many resources online to learn from. It's not possible to get stuck and you can't find a solution online!

### "You're better with postgres"

July 5, 2021

3.0

I'm grateful to mysql as it's free - but I feel like it's had it's day as a database, and there's better open source options out there.

Pros

Mysql is easy to set up, as things like access controls are generally very simple. Thought that benefit is quickly lost if you need more complex controls. There's a couple of nice features about the mysql syntax that I like - e.g. being able to insert and update using the SET command.

Cons

Having using postgres and mysql in parallel on two similar applications, I regularly wish we'd migrated out of mysql years ago. Postgres is a little harder to set up, but then it works. I can't think of a time when I've had to go trawling through internet forums or manuals trying to explain some weird database bug. Mysql on the other hand frequently introduces it's own strange little bugs into the mix, which we've had to work around.
