Payments and ticket confirmations work smoothly, and the automated emails reduce a lot of manual follow-up. I also find the interface easy to navigate and the reports useful for quickly checking sales and attendance. Support resources have been helpful when I’ve needed clarification. Considering how much of the event workflow it handles in one platform, I’ve found the overall value to be very good. Pros Event creation and ticket management are very easy to handle, even when setting up an event quickly. I especially like having registration, payments, attendee emails, and basic reporting in one place. The dashboard makes it simple to track ticket sales and attendee numbers without having to use separate tools. Cons The fees can become noticeable for paid events, especially as ticket volume increases. I also think some of the reporting and email customization options could be more flexible. These haven’t been major issues for me, but more control in these areas would make the platform even better. Eventbrite is convenient for finding events and buying tickets, but the high fees and weak customer support seriously hurt the overall experience. As a customer, I expect a ticketing platform charging this much in service fees to provide much better support when there is a problem. Buying a ticket is easy, but getting help afterward can feel unnecessarily complicated. I would use Eventbrite again if an event required it, but it would not be my first choice. Pros Eventbrite makes it easy to discover events, purchase tickets, and keep everything in one place. The checkout process is usually simple, and having tickets available digitally is convenient. Cons The fees are excessive and often make a reasonably priced ticket feel much more expensive by the time you reach checkout. Customer support can also be frustrating when something goes wrong. It often feels difficult to reach a real person, and resolving refunds, cancellations, or ticket issues can take far more effort than it should. It also makes processing payments very straightforward if you don’t have separate payment systems set up as Eventbrite handles it all. Pros Eventbrite is very quick and simple to get set up and selling tickets straight away. I like that it’s a well known and trusted platform which is great for new events. Cons The fees are high in comparison to other ticket selling platforms. Also the marketing features aren’t great in comparison to other options. Pros It is pretty much the standard. It's easy to set up a series of events (collections) and you can have different ticket types. People can "follow" you so they get an update when you create new event. They promote your event with similar ones across the site. The few times I had to contact customer service went well. It's easy to email all registrants Cons There are two main drawbacks. One, the site is so complicated that you can fall down a rabbit hole just trying to change one detail. Two, while you get a lot, the fees are very high and they keep going up. Either your guests cover them or you have to. We ultimately went with another platform, Zeffy, where fees are optional. Another lesser issue is the Organizer app doesn't have much functionality beyond checking people in. You can't make changes like event banners or description. Pros I love how simple it is to create an event on Eventbrite. Customers can also easily and quickly purchase tickets to events by just clicking a link. I also love that events can be discovered by potential customers just browsing the site. It's easy to collect customer info and communicate with everyone by email if any changes are made. The ability to charge customers the Eventbrite fee is a great optional feature, fees are extremely fair if you decide to not charge them outward. The payment process is fairly quick as well and every report is easy to find. I have not experienced bugs, other issues, or needed to reach out to customer support, which is are great signs of an easy platform! Cons Sometimes the search function can be tricky to navigate, bringing up un-related events. The need to wait for payments to come through can be a downside to those who like quick payment options. Pros I really like how it's easy to use on the phone and also it's my go-to place for finding events. There are no bugs and issues and it's easy to pay. Pros As an end user of Eventbrite over the last 8-9 years, I have always found the platform intuitive and easy to use. From using the platform to book onto events as part of my MBA programme to booking tickets for the family, the platform works well. I have never required support from customer service, such is the ease at which the platform can be used and the confirmation emails received after placing a booking is useful, especially with tools to quickly add events to your calendar. As an end user the value for money is exceptional, as no service charge is payable in my experience, when making a booking. The platform appears to be bug free (which is rare) and I have never encountered an issue with booking tickets. Cons There’s very little to dislike. It just works as expected. If I were to try very hard to find something I dislike, it would be the layout of printed tickets, but this is entirely trivial and it in no way impacts the use of the platform. Review Source Dana P.
