As we mostly use it for free events that target a small number of people (50-70), it works alright. However, larger crowds might be better managed with some other solutions. Pros Very easy to get started. Easy to setup registration fields. Seamless check in for attendees, and customizable email receipt. Thus enabling a more personal experience for our guests. Custom URLs give us higher credibility. Cons Vipps payment solution is not available in our country (Norway). From our experience, this is the easiest method for our guests. July 29, 2023 4.0 Eventbrite is simple and quick. It is ideal for events that do not require to provide several details to the users regarding the events. However, the improvement opportunity regarding design, visualization, and organization is wide. Pros I like the fact that Eventbrite immediately sends you a notification with your events and you receive your QR code in your app. You may access this QR code every time you need it and see the dates of your events and the details. Cons Once you select your event and receive your ticket, you may see general information about it in the app and your email, such as time and date. However, it lacks the details of the events you were given at the time of booking. On the other hand, I understand that Eventbrite may perform some improvements regarding the design of the events, so it is easier for the user to see a bunch of events at the same time. Great that it notifies me of interesting zoom lectures, tours, etc. I would not have known of or been able to attend because of being in another location. Pros Eventbrite does a good job of notifying me of events that relate to myself and my work. Eventbrite is used regularly for ticketing in local events and it does a very good job. I've never had a problem. What I like about Eventbrite is it regularly notifies me of events, especially lectures, that relate to my work as a scriptwriter. In this zoom age, most of these events are available remotely so I can attend events in other cities. One example. As I scriptwriter I have often written horror material for networks like Showtime and Nickleodeon, and horror feature films. Eventbrite notified me of a zoom lecture in the Detroit Public Library of a talk by a very articulate professor about the history of Black Horror Cinema. Without Eventbrite I would never have know about that event. I've had other fortunate connections like that through Eventbrite including guided tours of graffiti in inner city neighborhoods, another topic of interest that I've incorporated in my own scripts. Cons Eventbrite's e-mail notifications are great but there are a lot of events listed. Some appeal directly to me but many don't. It allows the host to update FAQs and also interact with the attendees making it truly exhaustive. Cons What i don't like is that it doesn't allow to put the original website page on the dashboard. Sometimes certain categories of events are empty. It sends you a confirmation right away and you receive notification or reminder upon the events. Even my old colleagues who were very into RSVPs in a very-old fashion way can figure out how to book an event for themselves and checkouts. As an administrator, posting an event is very easy, it has automatic payment processing, basically, it's like posting a regular post and Eventbrite does the rest. I don't have to send invitations to everyone individually, waiting for them to pay and to confirm. Cons Everything actually looks fine, it's just money-wise, everyone wants something free especially since I'm only using it once or twice a month. My guests were a little surprised that this was a must thing, but they used it with great pleasure. Many of them did not know how it works and learnt about Eventbrite by me. Pros This is a perfect event management app and helps me a lot. When my supervisor delegates me an event to hold, they have no clue how hard it is to pay attention to every detail. Eventbrite helps to understand the number of people who will attend so that you can reserve the event location properly with the right capacity. They get their tickets and the scanning process is a lot of fun. After each event you get a recap of it straight to your email address. Cons The cancellation option is poor due to which generally out of the 100% registered people only 70% turn up at the event. It would be ideal to send a reminder to the attendees with a line if you wish to cancel - do it NOW, 2 days in advance, otherwise a small fee maybe could be charged so that the attendees feel more responsible for the attendance of the event they registered for. I have all of my contacts right at my fingers and can create a fully customizable event. The forms are customized so that I can be sure I receive all the information I need from customers. I am able to share so easily on most any platform and manage everything, from attendees, to the event details, payments and ticketing, and even checkin and registration on the day of the event. It makes it so easy for event to go flawlessly. I highly recommend. Pros I really like how easy it is to set up a planned event with full customization. I am able to import contacts from many platforms allowing me to reach a larger audience. It is great for any size event and allows customers to attend the event with minimal interaction with employees. Once I got going. The options for setting up your events, down to tracking and the reports. Simplified my experience as the Host for our Family Reunion. Our family has been using Eventbrite for the last 5 years. Much better than waiting on money to come thru the mail. It also made the Registration for the Reunion so much easier. I just printed out the list. Then checked them off as the family members showed up. I was able to see if they paid for the Cookout or just the dinner. Some paid for the entire reunion. I knew how much to buy for each event. Pros When I signed up to host our 56th annual Family Reunion in Clearwater Beach Florida. While not only myself lived in another state. So did a lot of the family members. Using this platform for registration and payment. Saved me so much time. No more tracking lost mail with money orders. No more wondering about who was coming and who wasn't. I was able to do all of my registrations online. The monies were automatically sent to our business account. I never had to go inside the bank. I just used the Debit Card to pay for the Reunion. They also give you an option of when you want the monies deposited. Then sure enough. It would be there. I did not have to worry about any return items. The money was always there. This made shopping a lot easier. I was constantly receiving monies months b4 the Reunion. I did not have to use any of my personal money. Unless I chose to. Cons The only issue that I had at first. Was setting up several events within the same platform. We had ticket sales for kids attending. Then there were the ticket sales for the adults. I also had to break down the different events for the weekend. Because, some of the family members were unable to attend. All of the events. So, I had to price every event. I also found a small glitch when sending thru text messages. The link kept breaking. Definitely would recommend to others Pros Eventbrite is a great platform if you have an event (or events) you are selling tickets to online. - Easy to integrate into Facebook Events so your followers & FB friends can purchase tix right from the events page. - If you have a scanner, you can scan tickets and register guests as they arrive so you know who has entered already, and who has not yet scanned their ticket at will call- Pricing is not too expensive in comparison to many other ticketing sites Cons I think Eventbrite could reduce their fee structure a bit. As they are not involved in the event itself, taking a portion of each attendee ticket sale (3.5% fee) in addition to their $0.99 Service fee seems a bit excessive. I realize this is likely the structure that has allowed them to grow to such a large business in the events space, but I think this model may be a bit much as event organizers also have to pay the $9.99 monthly fee to be an Eventbrite member. Free to anyone who isn't requiring payment for tickets, Eventbrite makes it easy to quickly put together a good looking registration page fast, without the hassle of payment or subscriptions. The paid feature for anyone requiring ticket fees is a little more rigid in how the user can collect it's money which can make it a little tougher to work with depending on how badly you need the revenue from your ticket sales. The payment processing fees are still reasonable, though. Pros \-Powerful system that provides a large number of great features (creating, promoting, tracking, checking-in, analyzing) for free -Event page creation is quick and easy. If you want something simple, you can be done in minutes. It negates the need for a seperate landing page, you can use their link to direct interested people to. This saves having to maintain seperate pages and eases data collection. Pros The ability to find different types of events in a location and similar related ones.The ability to tailor events as a host. Cons The ease of navigation and event design as a host could be easier on desktop or mobile without the app.The advance payments needed to run an event can make you have to delay the event date to allow for funds to reach your account. As my needs depend on the number of confirmed attendees it can't be booked at short notice, limiting the amount of events that can be run a year. Reason for choosing Eventbrite To be honest it was the first platform I came across over a decade ago as an attendee and over the years it's been the most convenient to continue using as a host.
