Pros The set up is easy, the functionality is there for the basics. I like that you can have custom forms and ask specific questions and make them required before checkout. For the user it is easy and email reminders are sent to them automatically in advance if you would like, and that email is also customizable. It gives the user all they need to attend an event. Another perk is that Eventbrite will also promote your event on their platform if a user searches for events in their area, yours would show up as an option (if you want it to). Cons The fee is a bit much if you do a lot of events, eventually it will add up. Reason for choosing Eventbrite I chose Eventbrite because it was quicker to set up, easier to work with, and other team members were able to alter the event as well that didn't have web development experience. Any cancellations are also informed same way.All in all the whole process in managed very well by the software, this far I am really satisfied. Pros \- It is easy to use, very much user friendly. - I like the fact that I can easily find events that interest me in my area, and also I can book it quite easily. In addition to that the payment system is also straightforward and not time consuming. Pros The creation of events is simple after having done it the first time, the payment management has made the process easier for me, the follow-up reports are delivered or main. Cons I haven't seen any significant evolutions in the platform since I first used it a few years ago. They could venture into doing events directly or rethink the overall design of the site. People who use it for the first time often ask for help or get lost when making the payment or understanding the distribution of the event information. Pros I work at a nonprofit with a small marketing staff. Before using Eventbrite, we were building our events on our website which looked awful and dull. It would take a lot of time for not much reward. With Eventbrite, I can create a basic event in a matter of a few minutes. I can make it private or public to be shared with the Eventbrite community. Best of all, most of our events are free to enter, which means it's free to post them on Eventbrite. It's easy to check attendees in at the door, download reports, and communicate last-minute messages with registrants. Eventbrite is a great tool more companies should take advantage of. Cons In some instances, we've held events that require many conditional questions to be completed during registration. Unfortunately, Eventbrite doesn't allow the function of complex, conditional questions, which can really slow down the registration process. On the backend, the menu names aren't the most intuitive. There are certain functions that are difficult to find, such as where to cancel an order, but after expanding each sidebar menu, you can usually find which what you need. My biggest pet peeve with Eventbrite is that if you create an event that takes place more then five weeks away, ticket sales will automatically be set to end in five weeks from that date, regardless of when your event takes place. There have been many times when I've forgotten to change this default date and received complaints of ticket sales being closed weeks prior to an event. I wish Eventbrite would make the default date the date of the event. Review Source Whit B. What I like most about Eventbrite is its scalability. I used this to promote grassroots arts exhibitions years ago. Now, I use it to promote and manage reservations for events on a college level. It is a highly professional and simple program. Pros Eventbrite is very easy to use. We use it to promote public and private events for the college that I work at. We have successfully used it to manage tickets/RSVPs for single ticket type events as well as more complex timed entry to exhibitions and both have worked very well. It is highly flexible. We have also used the Virtual Event Space to connect Zoom-based events directly to the event making the marketing automation even easier. When someone registers for a Zoom event, they receive the link from Eventbrite when the event is beginning. Cons It is hard to point to anything that I don't like about Eventbrite. Additionally, the ability to create recurring events has been especially beneficial, as we no longer need to set up monthly events repeatedly. Cons In general, we don't have any major complaints. However, we have found that canceling or postponing an event can be confusing at times, as the process is not always clear and requires going through several prompts. We just needed a small part of the system and even for that it was a perfect fit. You can set lots of details and schedule everything automatically. Cons Sometimes it could be hard to understand how to set something. Once we found our way in the system it was quite easy to copy events. It was quick and simple, we got our money in a timely manner, and being the main user i really only had the one complaint i listed above. Pros We love that we can create the entire event from start to finish through eventbrite. This is another way small non profits raise money is through fundraisers. I can handle everything I need to do online; nevertheless, if I need to download my online ticket (free or purchased), I have the option to do so. Cons I really don't see anything wrong with the software. Again it's easy to set up, and easy to use. The only problem is that I wish there were more updated tutorials. It makes it easy to register in a hurry. As an event host, I like knowing attendees can quickly register. I like that you're able to modify the event in real time (e.g. adding more seats) without affecting the event itself. I also like that you can get a database of the attendee info seamlessly (emails, name, etc.) It's a well-known brand so people trust it when you host an event through Eventbrite; in fact, I often have people ask if there is an Eventbrite sign up if I mention hosting an event verbally. Cons I've had trouble in the past hosting events on zoom where attendees were not able to get the zoom link once they registered. Many emailed me directly as it was not in their confirmation email. This may have been resolved but as a result, I always email all the attendees outside of Eventbrite as a precaution to make sure they have the zoom/virtual conferencing details after registering. Pros Eventbrite has allowed our company to set up events and sell tickets with ease. One particular thing that I like about Eventbrite is their level of customer service. Everytime I've contacted their customer service team, they've always responded in under a day. What's also special about Eventbrite is that there's no limit to how many events can be set up. With that, I don't have to pay any fees at the start of the process as well. Cons I wish Eventbrite would offer different payment processing services such as Square. There have been times in the past when people couldn't pay for a ticket because their preferred payment provider wasn't there. Reason for choosing Eventbrite There weren't any other platforms. So far, i have had a good, memorable and satisfactory user experience with Eventbrite. Pros The ticketing feature is very excellent and easy to use. The event management feature is also seamless and works perfectly. I like the ease of being able to update the contact details (Names and email addresses)of attendees of our events and move them tp our email list. The process was seamless and easy! Cons 1\. The update and notifications feature needs to be streamlined and improved on. In other words, timely and prompt updates on events should be the major objective of this feature. I believe if this is done, the use of eventbrite will be more seamless. 2. The customer service. Eventbrite needs to improve here. Prompt response to users is very important if this software is to gain more acceptance. 3. Customization. It was a bit difficult and cumbersome to customize events with more options available.
