June 23, 2021 4.0 I appreciate the ease and access that Eventbrite provides, once you have familiarized yourself with its capabilities it brings an organization and sweatless experience to the event host and attendees. Pros The reports and analytics as well as the ease and access of purchasing. It makes the software a great tool. Cons Familiarizing yourself with all that it's capable of isn't always the easiest which can grow frustrating. I'd like to see more how-tos on the site. Pros It provided event management options that were highly customisable, like the registration questionnaire, and ticketing options. Being able to schedule messages as well was very useful. Cons Some functionality was not intuitively located and many times we knew we should have been able to to do things but could not figure out where the options were located. While this was frustrating it is a part of the process of engaging with new software and applications. Some of the communication we wanted to have with registrants were not supported. Full calendar integration would have been useful and being able to send messages with images. Pros Eventbrite is perhaps one of the most unique platforms I have come across that heps with event creation, managing and promotion, a few competitors exists, but they have a unique style that stands out, from having an active help center to having a chance of using the app free of charge ,one cannot ask for more privilege Cons Amongst the many good things that the platform offers, I with they improve customer service and help center response for free users, most of the times it feels like flawless customer care service is only available to paying customers only. Their customer service was unresponsive at best and non-existent at worst. The idea of being able to manage an event using tools that were all part of the same platform is a good one, but I didn't find Eventbrite to be the most intuitive platform. Therefore, set up for every step - marketing, ticketing, and communications - was difficult. Data management was impossible. Pros I liked the idea of Eventbrite, and the intent that the marketing, ticketing, and communications for an event could all be managed in one place. However the idea and the reality were two very different things. Cons Fees, fees, and more fees! After Eventbrite has taken a huge chunk of our ticket sales, they sent an invoice for even more fees and no one in customer service would explain why we were being charged extra fees. Every service that Eventbrite provides could be provided somewhere else for less money or for free. There's nothing about using Eventbrite that made it worth the hefty percentage of our event fees that they charged. I would recommend that people NOT use Eventbrite and use separate email and payment service providers to get the same results without giving away such a large percentage of the event profits. I have used it to create events, to purchase tickets or RSVP to events and frequently, to search for events. To create an event page, Eventbrite makes it as easy as possible for you. From there, you have easy access to who is and isn't attending, and also receive a guestlist for your event which you can use for check-in. From personal experience on the user side, I love that once you've RSVPed, you get a clear confirmation email that allows you to easily 'add' the event to your calendar of choice (or you can do this from the Eventbrite page right after you've RSVPed), and Eventbrite plugs in all the relevant information into your calendar. This always saves me so much time and usually encourages me to attend the event. I imagine that the participants signing up for events I have created in the past have also enjoyed this feature. Cons There is not a lot of customization available. You don't get to control the font/size or other design-related aspects of the event page so the event information and photo are all presented in the same way for each event. I have, in the past, generally used Eventbrite in combination with other softwares, e.g. a FB event page (that links to the Eventbrite for RSVPs). Review Source Marie R. It opens a lot of doors to opportunities! Love it! Pros I love how easy it is to search for Events.. Love how I see all the fun events, different categories are very organized on the website. I love how I can book easily the reservations for the events. The bookings go straight to my email once it's confirmed. it's a great event booking! Cons I feel like the design of the website can add more layers to it. More faster design for browsing would help. cause sometimes it lags but overall a good website. Also, the service fee and price are transparent. I have used another ticket selling platform, the price appeared to be cheaper than Eventbrite, however, there is hidden cost within it that I was not aware of. Pros The app are is very easy to navigate and is very convenient to do check-in. I have used the Eventbrite app to check in guests in an event with around 1000 attendees. The app saves us much time and we can easily get the attendance of our guests as a useful data. Cons There are many functions and features for the analytic report, it took me a while to familiarize every function. However, once I figure them out, I can access to very useful data and reports that help me organize my future events. Switched from [Squarespace](https://www.capterra.com/p/143461/Squarespace/) I used Squarespace to sell tickets via our organization's website. It gave us flexibility, however, we have face many difficulties to do check-in. Squarespace does not generate barcodes to attendees so that we have to check their info manually. The easiest way to sell tickets to your events, fundraisers, galas, etc. Pros Eventbrite is amazing for event planners or anyone who ever hosts a gathering, event or activity. It's super easy to set up, integrates with Facebook, has its own email feature (or connects with MailChimp, etc.) You can create coupon codes, password-protected events, free events, etc. There's an app to help with check-in or on-site purpose. It's really the best all-in-one ticketing software. Cons If you're running a super specialized event or event series, this may not be the best option for you. For example, we run a Theatre Festival with multiple performances a night for one week. We used Eventbrite for the first year, but have since switched to a specific theatre ticketing platform. You can have your event ticketing up and running in minutes. I have been using Eventbrite for ticketing for about five years. It has helped make event management so much easier. I used it for school admissions and event purposes, for nonprofit fundraising events where tickets were complimentary, etc. It is easy to specify the exact questions for my guests, gathering data on them that helps me in other areas. Easy integration into websites and emails. I have recommended Eventbrite to so dozens of businesses, organizations and individuals. Easy to use product and with all that I often have going on, it's nice to know I can depend on Eventbrite to quickly make a difference. Cons You can search for a registration based on a registrant's name. However, you cannot print a report by Registrant's last name. Not being able to print a registration report by the name of the registrant is the only reason I gave this product four stars instead of five stars. Help screens are good. The help response I received was very clear and easy to follow. It would be nice to have a live person to do a chat box with or talk to but so far, all of my questions have been addressed either in the Help screens or when contacting support.
