Cons The least thing i dislike about Eventbrite is during the covid-19 pandemic is they lack customer services and the tickets on the sites during the covid-19 pandemic was more expensive. October 10, 2021 5.0 My overall experience with using this has been amazing and has exceeded my expectations. In times of feeling lonely, this would be very helpful to discover events in the neighborhood area according to the user's personalized interests. This is software which is to be used to make life more happening and exciting. Pros This software is extremely helpful in terms of booking and managing reservations. I get to see upcoming events in my neighbourhood and there were many times in the past when I actually attended these events after discovering them on Eventbrite. It also helps the users have a record of the past registrations which he/she has made and there were times in the past when I totally forgot that I made a reservation but realized that I made a reservation through looking at Eventbrite. Cons The least I like about this software has been nothing so far. I enjoyed the simplicity but was not impressed with the overall quality or quantity of features. The fees are high and it's not always easy to understand or predict how much you'll pay in fees. Features and functions include: Create your event with ease, market your event and sell tickets, manage registration and attendees. Collect data for attendees by creating customer questions. Eventbrite is easy to set up and easy to get acquainted with. Cons The fees are structured in a confusing manner and they can spiral out of control if your event has a high ticket price. August 25, 2023 5.0 Although Eventix is a good platform, it lacks the SEO visibility that Eventbrite offers. For our recent event, we listed on Eventix, Brown Paper Tickets, and Eventbrite. Interestingly, community event sites and other aggregators consistently featured the Eventbrite listing. Notably, Google search consistently highlighted the Eventbrite listing, whereas it never recognized Eventix. When it comes to SEO, Eventbrite is the clear winner. Pros Eventbrite is a game-changer, providing incredible flexibility! I can create various types of tickets and promo codes, which is fantastic. What I really love is that I have the freedom to personally add attendees who might be getting in for free or have paid through other means, right within the platform. I also like that you can customize your plan for what you need. We host a lot of events throughout the year and Eventbrite helps us and our clients on track with event attendance. Cons There are a few more fees associated with the service. They tell you there will be fees but it sometimes becomes costly after fees. They advertise a lot of services as free that then have fees. Cons There could be improved features for email automations for reminders to attend or for capturing those who saw the event page but did not sign up, or only gave some details. It leads to missed sales. I like particularly how it is easy to get free tickets by default, and in case of paid tickets how you can also book optional items such as a lunch or dinner and it adds to the total ticket cost. Cons It is not tightly integrated into other softwares, such as outlook or even web browsers for easy checkouts, this could be an idea similarly to paypal or stripe checkouts. It could also provide a full calendar of my next events in an easy and integrated way to other common use software. It served its purpose but after researching other systems, I now see how much Eventbrite's limitations cost me in time and money. Eventbrite is good if you're selling one general thing but beyond that it gets complicated. They did deposit my appropriate funds when expected. Pros I like that families were able to register for several different classes. I liked the ease of adding custom questions allowing me to gather the exact information I needed. Customer support did respond in a timely manner every time I needed them. Cons My biggest complaint is they changed the software without notifying me therefore I was not able to sell my products for over a week. I found out by accident. There was not any easy way to solve the problem. I was told to start my entire set up over again. The technology available was poor. Customer support had very little regard and/or value of my time and ability to use their product. It was confusing for my users to use the system from their end. It was common for people to register wrong. Pulling reports was cumbersome. For example, I could not pull a report of everyone who had purchased a certain product. I reached out to customer support and was told it wasn't possible. Once again. poor technology. Reason for choosing Eventbrite I chose Eventbrite because it sounded like what I needed. After getting things set up, I realized it wasn't a good fit but I kept using it out of comfort of knowing the system. They lost my business when they changed the system without notification. After going through the step-by-step process to add event details, a event webpage looks very professional. Pros EventBrite is extremely easy to use and a must for anyone planning an event. As a non-profit organization, the budget is tight and has no room to pay for an event registration system. EventBrite's free version has just enough features to allow us to use it effectively for our event registrations. Cons I have only been able to use the free version of EventBrite, so I'm sure there are many wonderful features included in the paid versions. However, it would be very helpful if a comment box could be included in the free version. A comment box that would allow those purchasing tickets to add a comment - for example, who they might like to sit with at the event. It perfectly eliminates the need to share invitation cards to closed associates ; as I can simply send a mass,one-click email invite to everyone. Eventbrite also allow recipients of the event invite to either print out the invite or download it as a .pdf file on their smartphone. More importantly, this platform enable me check-in attendees by using the Eventbrite Organizer mobile app. to scan QR codes on event tickets. Cons Eventbrite becomes very costly when you offer paid tickets on the platform.
