Pros It is easy to use this to find new events in your industry as an attendee and easy to administer and set up events as an event administrator. Good overall software for event management. Cons There could be improved features for email automations for reminders to attend or for capturing those who saw the event page but did not sign up, or only gave some details. It leads to missed sales. It served its purpose but after researching other systems, I now see how much Eventbrite's limitations cost me in time and money. Eventbrite is good if you're selling one general thing but beyond that it gets complicated. They did deposit my appropriate funds when expected. Pros I like that families were able to register for several different classes. I liked the ease of adding custom questions allowing me to gather the exact information I needed. Customer support did respond in a timely manner every time I needed them. Cons My biggest complaint is they changed the software without notifying me therefore I was not able to sell my products for over a week. I found out by accident. There was not any easy way to solve the problem. I was told to start my entire set up over again. The technology available was poor. Customer support had very little regard and/or value of my time and ability to use their product. It was confusing for my users to use the system from their end. It was common for people to register wrong. Pulling reports was cumbersome. For example, I could not pull a report of everyone who had purchased a certain product. I reached out to customer support and was told it wasn't possible. Once again. poor technology. Reason for choosing Eventbrite I chose Eventbrite because it sounded like what I needed. After getting things set up, I realized it wasn't a good fit but I kept using it out of comfort of knowing the system. They lost my business when they changed the system without notification. After going through the step-by-step process to add event details, a event webpage looks very professional. Pros EventBrite is extremely easy to use and a must for anyone planning an event. As a non-profit organization, the budget is tight and has no room to pay for an event registration system. EventBrite's free version has just enough features to allow us to use it effectively for our event registrations. Cons I have only been able to use the free version of EventBrite, so I'm sure there are many wonderful features included in the paid versions. However, it would be very helpful if a comment box could be included in the free version. A comment box that would allow those purchasing tickets to add a comment - for example, who they might like to sit with at the event. Reason for choosing Eventbrite I use Eventbrite because a free version is available, which is helpful with a very limited budget. February 13, 2018 5.0 Pros Eventbrite provides me with an easy way to register friends and families for events. It perfectly eliminates the need to share invitation cards to closed associates ; as I can simply send a mass,one-click email invite to everyone. Eventbrite also allow recipients of the event invite to either print out the invite or download it as a .pdf file on their smartphone. More importantly, this platform enable me check-in attendees by using the Eventbrite Organizer mobile app. to scan QR codes on event tickets. Cons Eventbrite becomes very costly when you offer paid tickets on the platform. This is a solid event hosting/creation program with a great interface and userability. Managing events/conferences etc can be tedious and time consuming and this will help take a lot of the legwork off your plate. Pros Working in education, there are a lot of events I like to put together, and not everything has a cost, but the ability to track attendees etc is still needed. Eventbrite doesnt charge for free/small events! Everything is easy for the basic user to do. There are a number of customization features you can apply and it even integrates with website builders pretty easily. I have been on both ends using Eventbrite, both as an organizer putting it together, and an end user, making a purchase or attending an event via Eventbrite and the interface is simple on both sides. There is also an app to use on your phones. Cons There are a number of customization features, but colors aren't one of them but this is pretty minimal as an issue. I just want to get the even up and running and promote it to allow for people to register and all of that works with Eventbrite. Eventbrite played a key role in that success. I would definitely consider Eventbrite for future events. Pros Eventbrite is easy to understand and use. The feature-set is not too broad so it's easy to quickly understand everything they offer. I was able to quickly wrap my mind around its scope and deploy an event. I appreciated how easy it was to setup a website for reservations and payment. Although I did not have alot of design options for the payment and reservation pages, the pages were streamlined and worked well. I was able to find good third-party support for lanyards and printed name badges. Being able to sell tickets at the entrance was a nice feature as well. Pricing felt right. I received good value for the money I spent. Cons I did not have alot of design flexibility for the payment and reservation pages. I pretty much had to stick with their default template that makes all Eventbrite sites look the same. The event management UI was slow and awkward to use. I did have a couple of periods of site outage that caused me some pain. Alternatives considered [Cvent Event Management](https://www.capterra.com/p/26318/Cvent-Event-Management/) Reason for choosing Eventbrite Cvent looked to be a superior solution, but it was outrageously expensive. You're going to use it eventually. And don't even think about trying to be trendy by writing your own app for your once a year event. Just use Eventbrite and enjoy the service that's tried and true. Pros I've been using Eventbrite on and off for many years. As an attendee for conferences, I sometimes loathed having to install the app on my smartphone yet again. UNTIL, I went to a conference that decided to write their own app for attendees. It was a disaster. The custom app was buggy and pretty much featureless. That's when I realized that Eventbrite is the de-facto app to help curate and organize a complex event for attendees. Everything from tickets to itinerary listings, it does reliably and comfortably. It's easy to use for most people who are not tech savvy, while giving some power users some settings to tweak with regards to reminders and ticket/voucher organization (Apple Wallet, etc). Cons You might only use Eventbrite a few times a year, but it doesn't stop it from trying to invade your ecosystem with integrations and email subscription. I can create all kinds of ticketing and promo code options. I love that I can manually add attendees who are complimentary or paid outside the platform. Cons I WISH there was a feature that allowed to me easily BULK add attendees. While I love the fact that I can add attendees manually, the fact that the platform doesn't allow for bulk attendee uploads is a blackeye IMHO. Our recent event we listed in Eventix, Brown Paper Tickets and Eventbrite. Community event sites and other aggregators CONSISTENTLY picked up the Eventbrite listing. Google search consistently picked up the Eventbrite listing while Google NEVER picked up Eventix. SOME aggregators picked up Brown Paper Tickets. So in the SEO game Eventbrite wins! I have read some unfavorable reviews but, that has not changed my mind. I have utilized Eventbrite for internal company events, planning external other social events and purchasing tickets to events. It easy to use and hassle free for the novice or the experienced party planner or event manager. Pros Planning an event can be difficult without the use of an event management software. My preference is Eventbrite. In today's society where people are so busy managing their own lives, its hard bring people together. From a moments notice, to 2-3 weeks in advance, using Eventbrite can make sure your event is anything but successful. Eventbrite offers tools to assure that you can keep up with the logical changes while you are on the go. It also makes it easier for invitees to respond while they are on the go. Its a win win with Eventbrite. It cost effective (no more purchasing expensive invitations and costly postage) and convenient. Cons Eventbrite needs to implement a 911 response team approach for customer service. Hit it, respond to it, solve it! Also, so many people are use the service now, I am unaware if it has safe guards against crashing and; if it does... what happens to my information? I do think that due to the high percentage of users at any given time, the system slows down considerably. This can be frustrating when trying to pay for an event or responding to an RSVP. I can also see my past events and see other similar events coming up recommended by Eventbrite both by my interests and by my geographical location, in-person and online. Pros I can have my profile and whenever there is a new event, no matter who is organising it, whether the same or different organisation, I can easily log in and get a ticket - I don't need to register multiple times.
