February 25, 2026 4.0 Overall my experience as a user has been really goo, but when it is the organizer things needs to improve. Pros I like about eventbrite is the free option to publish events, and how easy can be to add extra information to guide the user. Cons The platform doen´t let to personalize too much your event page. It has a delayed in the payments, that can male ech event a little caotic. Review Source David M. COO Education Management Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "STOLE OUR MONEY" April 29, 2025 1.0 STOLE MONEY FROM US! – No Control, Awful Support, Terrible! If you are thinking about using Eventbrite for your event, I strongly recommend you read this first and avoid making the same mistake we did. We used Eventbrite to sell tickets for our national tour — and ended up losing over $3000 through a "Boost ads" system we never turned on or approved. THEY STOLE OUR MONEY! Eventbrite auto-opted us into paid advertising without consent, started spending our money on who-knows-what "ads," and provided no evidence that these ads even existed (even eventbrite support could not tell me where the ads were run or even how to manage them!) No reports, no audience breakdowns, no proof. When questioned, support gave us vague, dismissive answers. They would not refund anything despite the charges being unauthorized. Getting our attendee data was another nightmare. We had to manually export multiple different reports just to get a list of buyers vs attendees — no simple way to see who bought and who checked in. Even the basic act of "exporting your customers" is buried under poor UI design. In short: Steal money from your credit card! Hidden fees No transparency No proof of advertising services No ownership of your customers Broken exports and outdated systems If you value your business, want to protect your brand, and respect your customers — avoid Eventbrite at all costs. Pros Nothing - They stole money from our account, and their poor customer service have been dragging it out for 4 weeks with no refund as yet! Cons THEY ACTUALLY STOLE MONEY FROM OUR CREDIT CARD... and they refuse to refund it?! They need to be shut down! This is actually a scam! I have reported this fraud to my credit card company. July 30, 2025 5.0 It helped us move out of the world of messy spreadsheets and lists by hand. Now check-ins take just seconds, and guests receive their tickets immediately, no confusion, no delays at the gate. Pros I really love how easy it is to create an event, create different ticket types, and check people in. It’s very user friendly and eliminates the back and forth we used to have with phone reservations. Cons The reporting dashboard can feel a bit limiting at times, especially when I want to understand guest trends across many events. Pros What I like most about Eventbrite is: for what we use it for, it is free, so easy to set up and publish, and it integrates with our systems so I am not having to go back and forth to check on RSVPs. Warehouse and Training Manager Religious Institutions Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Effective but Not Efficient" July 5, 2025 4.0 I use Eventbrite for ticketing for training events as it helps me to collect data on the student in advance and I like that the emails can be generated and automatically sent out. On the negative side, Eventbrite is a bit clunky. You really have to learn how to set everything up and I end up copying and pasting a lot of data from one area to another. For example, if I want to send out a reminder email a few days in advance of the event I have to copy and paste my information to the email set up. It would be nice to have a checkbox that would allow you to copy this data to an email and then edit the email without having to copy and paste. Another issue is that the navigation of the user interface is not easy. You really have to know the (many) places to go to set up your event. Eventbrite works great but it can be clunky to operate. It is effective but not very efficient. Pros Eventbrite is a good ticketing and event tool. We use it for training classes because it allows for scheduled email reminders and updates for our students. Cons I wish Eventbrite had the option for keeping some things the same or basically having default settings so that you don't have to retype everything. Another need is that I would like to have it where I could automatically send the event description details to the email templates so I didn't have to copy and paste these. Pros You have a variety of options for tickets. You can offer free tickets, or tickets at cost, or VIP tickets. The type of ticket is only limited to your creativity. Cons Sometimes, when you search for a certain type of event, such as a conference, the options it shows you for conferences are not conferences. The same happens with workshops. Die Stornoregelung und der Kostenersatz von fehlgeschlagenen Transaktionen ist leider sehr schlecht. Kunden mussten teilweise mehr als 10 Monate auf ihr Geld warten und bekamen das auch nur da über Monate viele male Nachgefragt wurde. Pros Wir haben Eventbrite sehr lange benutzt da wir schon seit der Vorgängerversion Kunde waren. Leider wurde Eventbrite dann verkauft... Cons Eventbrite wurde seit dem Verkauf von Jahr zu Jahr schlechter. Als dann auch noch die Kosten zu steigen begannen mussten wir zu einem anderen Anbieter wechseln. Lots of people are confident with spending money on tickets via this site, so there was no issue of "fake" or "scam" Cons There should be a fee tier system for the site since some events are small and some are large. Cons There is nothing I least liked about Eventbrite. It was easy to manage and held a wealth of entertainment events.
