Program Director Non-Profit Organization Management Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Easy sign-up for events, hard to search for them" May 19, 2021 4.0 Overall, I am an end-user of Eventbrite in that I use it to sign up for events, both personal and work-related, in which I am interested. I have used both the "free ticket" functionality and also the ability to pay for an event, including a processing fee, directly through the site. I will say that it is a bit difficult to figure out who to contact if plans change or if I clicked the wrong date of an event; sometimes only being able to connect with the host of a venue is difficult, especially if it is near the date of the event. As mentioned above, it can be difficult to "find" an event by searching for keywords alone, and the search functionality would benefit by being congifured more intutively like a "Google" search. Pros The sign-up process for various events in Eventbrite is very easy. It requires minimum information (not even an account to register as a guest) and the payment process, if applicable, feels secure. Cons The search functionality for events is not easy; the results presented do not seem to be intuitive as with search engines such as Google. It also seems as if vendors make multiple different "events" instead of simply having one event with multiple timeslots - this makes is even harder to search for an event by date. It really walks you along It helps in sure that you have thought of everything to create a great event. I also really like that you can share it to different social media platforms or via email. It seems to me that it reaches the most potential clients of any software of its kind that I’ve used. It’s user-friendly and fun to create events. It’s nice that you can take payment and reservations a head of the event if you’d like to. Pros The event wizard is great. I like the functionality and being able to see things in real time. Cons It really had everything that I was looking for! Helps keep all the info organized in one place. Pros I do like that there is a free platform for smaller events that let you even processes tickets electronically through their phone app. I've used these for small film festivals and ticket events and using the ticket scan function helped the event stay organized. - I like the ease of setting up events with their simple forms and setup process. Cons If you need a more extensive detail page, then you would also have to have a separate event page. The details and photos you can put and the layout in which you can present it, is limited. February 14, 2018 5.0 Pros Eventbrite automates the process of inviting guests to events.Saves paper ,and removes the cost of printing invitation cards ; making it easy for guests to simply register for the event and get an automatic invite email,which they can download as a .pdf file or simply save it on their Eventbrite app. Cons Free events created on Eventbrite have very little security as random strangers can easily register and get an invitation for the event.As free events are displayed on the Eventbrite website,with no barrier for strangers to register. As a user on both ends, it's just convenient end to end. I can keep up with events instead of wasting time searching them out. Pros I find this software to have a very friendly interfacing experience. Keeping up with targeted companies and receiving alerts in real time about their scheduled events is uber convenient - it save an enormous amount of time. The software reporting is spot on, as well. Pros User friendly, intuitive. Support is available 24/7 online. Some of the event management features include attendee, badge managing along with vendor management tools. They offer promoting tools for social media, surveys, feedback options. The volunteer management tool is easy to use. Offers lot of functions to manage and organize any event. Could integrate with SurveyMonkey and possibly other tools. Cons Some of the settings are not as user friendly. The custom data fields aren't super clear to navigate. The customer service is not the most reliable. There are some limitations on reporting such as not being able to print reports based on names of registrant. It's hard to find a better balance of cost to benefits than what they can offer. Pros Eventbrite has been our go-to software for managing ticketed events for the last 8 years. It set a standard for event management and we have found no reason to shift away from it's reasonable costs, ease of deployment, and user friendly dashboard. I like particularly how it is easy to get free tickets by default, and in case of paid tickets how you can also book optional items such as a lunch or dinner and it adds to the total ticket cost. Cons It is not tightly integrated into other softwares, such as outlook or even web browsers for easy checkouts, this could be an idea similarly to paypal or stripe checkouts. It is widely used and a trusted platform which makes it a hard tool to beat in the market. Personally, I love the site as it allows users to plan, sell and promote their events online and grab many eyeballs with its social media integrations as well. Pros Eventbrite has a large reach and attracts several audiences of different locations, areas and industries. This makes the event a diverse and well equipped event in terms of knowledge. With its robust analytics and reporting capabilities, tracking various types of information becomes very easy. Its various stages in the event management life cycle also provides support to new managers and employees using the site. Cons Sometimes the ticketing and scanning system on the site can crash due to the overload of users. The site also requires a certain learning curve which may not be suitable for small-mid sized companies. The platform also charges a small fee for every ticket sold which may become pricy for some companies. We offer around 18 different webcasts that repeat every month, so being able to set them up without having to do it all from scratch is nice. I like the affiliate link feature, it allows us to see who brings in the most registrations. It is also very easy to set up Facebook pixels on the site and have it apply to all of your events. Cons I don't like it that we are using another piece of software to handle registrations, Eventbrite works great, but our webcast strategy needs some work. I download reports to let our team members know who has registered and personally email them if they haven't. Still using the Eventbrite link. So easy! Pros I like the fact that once our emails go out, I can easily track who has registered. Then we can reach out to anyone that hasn't registered yet. It would be very difficult to try and manage that through Mailchimp. Cons They send emails to me too often. I always seem to forget to opt out so it's my own fault.
