Pros It's a full featured event management service, that's perfectly integrated via API with Zapier, which opens up a lot of possibilities. Our requirements are very simple to meet, as we only need a service that let us receive registrations for online events and manage transactional emails like reminders and instructions. Eventbrite offers us the most intuitive interface and is robust enough so we can handle duplicates, manual registrations, form embedding in a landing page, and communication with the guests. Cons The only thing we don't like about Eventbrite is that a guest has to open an account to be able to get the link for the online event. Most people are tired to open one more internet account and it's sometimes painful to explain them that's needed, but only one time, because from that moment on, the same account works. I mean, it becomes a barrier for a percentage of guests, but I guess that's something that you have to weight before commiting to using Eventbrite. Review Source CM Chethan M. December 28, 2018 4.0 Pros Eventbrite is a Website Event Management Service. Eventbrite allows the users to quickly create and manage events. In EventBrite, One can easily create the events and circulate across the community, do promotions, get the RSVPs, sell the tickets, print tickets and many other features. In Eventbrite, one can easily design the events and share it across asking the recipients to show interest and buy the tickets if its require payments. The Payment gateway within Eventbrite allows user to pay in multiple ways. The Admins who create the events can easily manage within Eventbrite, Admins can export the data, look at the summary in the dashboard, get details as per the ticket type etc. Eventbrite is easy to use with the mobile App, one can provide the options to enter discount codes, perform email marketing, and other paid advertising integrations. Cons Eventbrite has its own disadvantages. Its not fully Free for users. Only if the events are Free then the events can be setup Free of Cost. If there is any ticket cost for the event then one has to go for the Eventbrite Paid solution options, It does allow to pass the Eventbrite payment to pass on the attendees but overall it does involve a cost and not fully Free for the event organizers. There are a LOT of great features but the cost absolutely can't be beat. Other apps/programs/software have so many added fees for random features that it becomes an expensive hassle to even hold a single event. Not so with Eventbrite. We'd been burnt before with all the little hidden fees that it took some convincing the higher ups to get on board with Eventbrite. Now? They love it. Haven't looked back. It's an easy, hassle-free way to send out mass invites for an exceptional price. Just pump the link into an email and you're good to go. You can even have customizeable discounts and promo codes. I can keep going but I'll save you the reading. If you're using a different event planner, switch over. You'll get glad you did. Cons I don't like fishing for cons when there aren't any readily apparent, but if I had to say one negative thing about Eventbrite, it would be the customer service. You'll rarely have need to get in contact with them, but when you do it'll be a struggle. A few more reps, some more training, and an overall cheerier disposition would do them wonders. This really helps to support event management. Pros Eventbrite is so easy to use. I also like the fact that the plantform is easy to use via the app that is convenient and organized. It allows event ticketeting to be a seemless and paper-free process. Cons I don't believe there are many negatives about Eventbrite. I use it all to time to find and host events. I love the simple and beautiful interface. It is very user friendly and welcoming. The booking process is seamless and they have a secure payment system. On top of that, I really love their API that you can use to integrate with your own application. Cons I wish they did some sort of integration with Facebook Groups because there are also a lot of events on Facebook. However it is understandable because they are two different companies. It's simply not seamless ... such as Ticketmaster would be for personal use. On a personal level, I purchased tickets for a concert that was delayed because of the Corona crisis. Upon purchase, the tickets were "owned" by Eventbrite, yet I never received a single notification from Eventbrite. This was particularly annoying when I went to the concert (pre-quarantine days), only to learn that the concert had been postponed. Eventbrite NEVER sent an update or notification, nor did it offer a solution moving forward. Pros I find very little about the product to be useful. Somehow, EventBrite has inserted itself as some sort of Ticketmaster for millennials despite providing a limited value add. Cons My biggest beef with Evenbrite is its inability to effectively manage event tickets purchased for personal use vis-a-vis tickets purchased for business purposes. In the version I was using, it was nigh impossible to toggle between personal and business tickets. Mind you, the user has little or no choice when it comes to the 3rd party entity who "owns" the actual ticket. I'm disappointed that Eventbrite has not yet addressed this as a product feature. Cons Customer support via instant chat/messaging couldve been an improvement to help solve any issues. The starting off guide also was outdated which was annoying. It is perfect for and easy to use when managing smaller simple events. It also looks professional. The only downside that I experienced was your event accessibility to general public. Whenever you create your event, other people (from outside of your organization) have access to it and are able to RSVP. So going through a list of those RSVP'ed to make sure there are no external people is important (and depending on how long the list is, going through it may also be time consuming). Pros \- easy to use - support for beginners (those who are using the software for the first time) - free (if you have no event registration fees) - great tool to have if managing simple events Cons \- as soon as you create the event, it becomes public. I once had a speaker event created for my students (and it was a free event); and I had 3 external to school people signing up for it. Works properly and is fairly popular to use with different event venues. Pros Eventbrite is useful when it comes to buying tickets of all kinds. I find I only use it when I have to - as in, the event I want to attend is exclusively offering tickets through Eventbrite. It’s an easy, fool-proof way to get tickets and I’ve never encountered any issues. Cons Biggest (and probably only) complaint would be the sometimes outrageous fees for buying tickets online. Being able to post the event all over the place with a link has been really very helpful! There are so many features available that some of them probably don't even get used very often. Great event planning and marketing tool. Cons So far I don't really have any cons for this software. It has delivered on what it says it will do. Easily integrates into a webpage or social media profile posts. And there are several ways you can do each of those.
